I don't know, some of the crap some of these contestants have come up w/ on this show past, present, and more than likely future shows that they had no idea what to do and just winged it. To be fair though, I would probably get a mental block as well trying to think up something on the spot.

I have an issue w/ Miles Teller playing Reed. I can't stand the kid, in almost every movie I've seen him in I just can't stand him. The only film I enjoy him in is Rabbit Hole w/ Nicole Kidman. To be honest, the main reason I can't stand the guy is the comments he made while promoting the movie 21 & Over. He had issues w/the man on man kissing and was against it and vocal about it, but the scene where he gets spanked bare-assed by another guy he was okay w/. I think this movie looks horrible and I hope it fails so the rights might possibly go back to the Marvel, but Miles is what really turns me off in this film.

On these challenges, why don't they give the contestants 5 or 10 mins to plan their menu before sending them on the rapid sprint to gather ingredients and start cooking? There really is no point to it, b/c it's not like the FN personalities on their own shows have to come up w/ a menu on the spot, they get to plan it out in advance. I understand from a Cut-throat Kitchen, Iron Chef, whatever other game show that it works, but not when you are trying to find your next FN personality. It's just stupid imo.

Can some one explain to me how Arnold wasn't called out for saying u could feed over 20 people with one chicken breast? When he said that The camera cut to Bobby who kinda rolled his eyes, so I figured he was going to question that. I really wanted to see how Arnold made his dinner in a box concoction, cb it seemed to be a hodgepodge mess. I think tonight proved definitively why Arnold could never win this season, he is a loose cannon that is going for shock and awe. Yes, on a pre-taped program he might be okay, but I think live he would try and push the envelope which FN wouldn't stand for.

We have to remember....she has bed thousands...er fed thousands. I will never not hear "bed thousands" on the opening of her show.

LittleIggy, after reading your post all I can picture is Giada going full Stanley from Streetcar and yelling "Doooommmmmm." Torn shirt showing more cleavage of course. Well that, and some scene where Giada is shoving her bosom into the glass as Dom is being pulled away from talking to her on those two way phones in prison.
-
Wow, total shock over Dom being sent to Star Salvation to end up winning this season....oh wait, i'm getting a little ahead of myself like FN has in the past when it comes to this show. Geez, i'm surprised that Giada didn't play the "if you send home the guy I want boning me right now i'm going to throw a hissy fit" card. I can't believe that Giada and Bobby were pushing so hard for Dom to stay, what does have on them, time-stamped sex pics from when they were both married?! I have a feeling that if Suzie and Kermit hadn't pulled rank, that it would have been Arnold being sent home. Was I the only one who thought the blood decoration on Eddie's Halloween plate was unappetizing? Dom is such an ass in his talking head interviews...well at least I described my food as I tasted it...true, but the others didn't seem to stumble on common words or freak out looking for a damn spoon. The sad part about this was then Eddie joined in thinking that describing the food while tasting was enough to save you, bar your cooking abilities. I'm going to make you candied ginger and when it's done...bam!....porkchop on a plate. They are so going to send Dom to Star Salvation and have someone work one on one w/ his on camera issues. Maybe this means next year there will be a change up of the hosts of this show...or at least get Alton back, he wouldn't have allowed Dom to get this far.

I liked this episode better than the opener dealing w/ Alzheimers, elder rape, and lube. As soon as they entered the mansion for the party and find the Stacey and her husband fighting saying party's off, I loved how Russ automatically said her 50th birthday party will be awesome. That was a great moment/line. Stacey just trashing all the hors d'oeuvre's then downing the pills and dressing up in ski attire was funny. The fact that she was actually feeding the miniatures to the dog was interesting as well, I mean that one they pulled out of the poop was huge, no dog would be able to eat that. It was strange that Jess and Shep weren't there for the party, especially since Jess talked about how big this birthday was. It was so awkward with Lina inviting the babysitter to the party, and then to have her show up just to say she couldn't stay due to a prior engagement. It made me more mad that Lina didn't call her out and say that yeah, the prior engagement was babysitting for my kids. Did we know that Lina was a substitute teacher before? F/X really should stop shipping off their best comedies, You're the Worst and It's Always Sunny off to FXX....or as I call it, the Simpsons channel.

So Feige says the fuzzy image is Eternity, but the director Reed has alluded to the fuzzy image w/ wings as Jan/Wasp....hmmm... The other thing that puzzles me here is the microverse isn't the same thing as the mystic realm that Dr. Strange messes w/ . Oh well...

I agree the buildup to Onslaught was great, but the actual execution when we met him was a major letdown. I remember reading that too where Lobdell was told what the end result was to be (the reboot of the Fantastic Four/Avengers/Captain America/Iron Man/Thor/Hulk), so basically fill in the middle. The whole X traitor thing was something great, it was such a big mystery, but tying that to this storyline really ruined that. The traitor was Xavier himself...really?! Oh well. I know the omnibus of that storyline comes out next month so i'm looking forward to reading it again, but overall it was a really crap story.

After about 15 min of this episode I bowed out too. This show just isn't interesting enough to get me to tune in weekly. Sorry show.

i think taking the revelation that Reed knew what would happen when he sent the four of them up there with the intent of gaining powers would be a great way to restart the characters from scratch. He saw a new age of marvels starting up and wanted so desperately to be a part of it he risked his families lives on it. They stick it out as a team but they all harbor distrust towards him, especially Ben. It was a great plot point in the story, even if Doom falsified it.
-
I forgot Claremont wrote that crossover/mini-series. I really wish the main crux of the storyline wasn't eventually wiped out to be another manipulation of Doom in that story to hurt Richards.

Wow, the movie the Opposite Sex is a chore to get through compared to the far, far superior the Women. The movie just seemed so slow and bogged down by the musical numbers, it dragged on for so long. Loved seeing Agnes Moorehead, such a great character actress, but the one I was most struck w/ was Ann Sheridan. I had seen her in a few films here and there, but I really want to see more of her work. I did think that June Allyson was not the right fit for Kay ( I originally typed Mary, that's how familiar I am w/the original), when she did the "sharpen my claws/jungle red" scene, it was just hammy. I just don't see June as the claws out woman from the end of movie, it's not what I think of when I heard the name June Allyson. That fuschia/hot pink dress at the end she is wearing did her no favors either, it just washed her out. I guess I can now say I say the first re-make of the Women, but i'm not sure I want to touch the 2008 remake. I did see the PBS filmed stage version from 2001 w/ Cynthia Nixon, that one was really god. eta... Wow Julia, that does sound just awful...and this is all from the writer who gave us the awesome 80's sitcom Murphy Brown?!

The Annual Primetime Emmys - General Discussion
CMH1981 replied to susannot's topic in The Primetime Emmy Awards (Emmys)
I think all the rumors/backstage gossip about JM being the one who deemed her character and Kalinda wouldn't have anymore scenes together unless they are shot separately then spliced badly sunk her for this past season. In all honesty though the character arc for Alicia this past season was all over the place. -
Does anyone know why the upcoming Comeback dvd release is again saying, the complete series instead of just a S2 release.

Weaving did sign the multi-picture deal for MCU, but he has vocally said he doesn't want to be forced to play the character again...he played the role and is ready to move on. I just find that humorous considering he did what, almost all the LoTR/Hobbit movies, video games and whatnot. http://www.gamesradar.com/hugo-weaving-doesn-t-want-to-play-red-skull-again/ I wouldn't mind seeing the Red Skull going the cloned way, another actor steps into the role but it's played as this is a cloned body of the original Skull, it could be anyone under the mask I guess. I really thought they were going to go with Pierce from the Winter Soldier as being the Red Skull...there was even something about one of the tracks on the Winter Soldier soundtrack being titled "Alexander Pierce is the Red Skull.
-
Why does everyone dislike Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull. I really liked him in the role, and the fact that he has said he won't play the role again upsets me. So what was it that everyone hated about him in the role? I know his role wasn't all that prominent in the overall film, but again it was Cap's movie, and Peggy really stole the entire movie to me. I've always thought of the Red Skull as the master manipulator, using others as the heavy to go after the heroes until he has no other choice but to step in and battle.

I think if Marvel ever gets back the FF rights, I will want the FF to have been pre-established before everything else, like they have always been around, but at the time of the Chitauri invasion or Ultron they were off on one of their cross-dimensional capers.

Do we know what the timeframe was from the time Clark snapped Zod's neck to Clark showing up at the Planet? I mean after all that city-wide destruction and whatnot, it just seemed like Metropolis recovered really, really quickly.
-
This. They can't all be good...remember when Roseanne didn't shy away from criticism and would have been honest instead of just heaping praise on everyone. I didn't find him funny either, he is one step away from prop comedy. It made me think he is more of a Second City/SNL/sketch type of comedian, not really stand up.
-
I felt Norm's distaste about Amy's closing joke was because he knew that if he tried to make that joke, or any white male comic, that it would have totally come off as in bad taste. He has had his fair share of poorly timed jokes, as well as others. It just seemed more like bitter grapes to me.

I understand as to why Marvel can't use Kang in the MCU, but you would think there would be a clause ala Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, b/c he is more of an Avengers villain than FF. I mean do really that many people remember that Kang is actually connected to Reed Richards?

I too started reading Goosebumps back when it first started back in 5th grade....geez that was 1992...i'm old. I would read Goosebumps and Fear Street concurrently, but eventually just stopped. I remember the tv show, and was very underwhelmed, but then again it was aimed for kids during the weekdays. I was, heck I still am, surprised that nobody has thought of turning the Fear Street book series into movies or a tv anthology series. The cheerleader saga, to me, was always begging for a movie trilogy adaptation. Come on ABC Family, if you can make Pretty Little Liars you could do Fear Street.

What is w/ this Selvig guy? It really does seem like he has had a much bigger role in the MCU than Jane, it's really odd. Did he have a comic counterpart before or after the films? I never thought much about it, but I would have preferred if Jane had the role of Selvig in the first Avengers film. If nothing else it would have made the slap she gave Loki in the Thor 2 more worth it, kind of a "you used/violated me you son of a bitch," instead of that weak "that was for New York" crap. I have a feeling after Thor 3 that Natalie will bow out and she will be replaced.
