I assume you meant Hyacinth...auto-correct is our enemy at times. In regards to Hyacinth, she seems harmless enough, but there is something about her I can't put my finger on that makes her off-putting to me. I guess from out moments with her on this show she comes off as fake and putting on for the camera...like Ree. -
Just because Holland is done filming on Cap 3 doesn't mean Spider-Man is, stuntmen will do the remainder of filming Spider-Man's role in the film. It's yet to be seen if movie Scarlet Witch has the same skill set and powers as the comics version.

Wow, Matthew, after your redemption on Star Salvation from being a dick, you went back into dick mode again...nice. I was so hoping he was going to sabotage Dom, but like posted upthread, he probably did mess up the sauce but the judges weren't going say that b/c that would mess up their masterplan regarding Dom. I was totally surprised that Rachel Ray was the surprise producer, I was sure it would be Guy Fierri as always since Alton has bailed on this show. I loved Rachel being in awe of Eddie's physique, she is such a fun person who speaks her mind. I couldn't tell from the strange looks from her as she was watching, but she seemed puzzled like wtf?! I'm guessing she wasn't that impressed w/the final three, or getting hugged by a stranger/Jay. What did Dom think, that Rachel was going to spend all day w/ him? Uh...she has a life and other shows to tape sweetheart. I honestly couldn't care less who wins, b/c I wouldn't watch any of their shows....well....I don't want Dom to win b/c I just can't stand him.

Exactly. Fox has the whole mutant side to work with, hell w/ the Deadpool trailer looking to be really kick-ass they have so much to mine that they don't need the FF anymore.

If Marvel gets the rights back and they didn't want to rehash the origin story, they could shoot extra footage during the filming of the movie that covers the back story of each individual member to get them where they are at the start of the film and they could release the five different trailers in front of movies and online. If each one was 5 to 10 minutes it could work to save from having to recap the origin story at the beginning of the film. If any of that makes sense. I thought of this idea when they talked about doing an Arrested Development movie years back before the 4th season came about on Netflix. I thought, who would go see this film other than fans if they knew nothing about the series. I thought for each main character of series they could cut the best scene that were key for that character from the first 3 season of the tv show and post them online and as trailers to get people talking. In other words you would have had an individual trailer for Michael, GOB, Lindsay, Buster, and so on and so on.

Yes, I agree with you they are focusing on other properties but if Marvel were to regain the right back to the FF they wouldn't put any of the upcoming films on the back burner b/c with this train-wreck from FOX this past weekend they would want to wait at least five years or more before they did their quintessential version of the FF in the MCU. They would want to bleach the bad taste/sight out of moviegoers. If anything they would probably go the way of skipping the origin story and slowly incorporate each member of the team elsewhere before their own group movie again. Something like the Human Torch in a minor role in the Spider-Man film since those two share a history. If this is actually happening I really hope Marvel/Disney play hard ball and just take the talks about the X-Universe tv series off the table til FOX either hands back the rights for a certain amount (perhaps Disney covers the cost of the film's budget for 100% of the rights) or works to make a proper sharing of the franchise ala Sony/Spider-Man.

Natasha's reasoning may have to do w/ the one hero that isn't listed on there. Banner. He is in the movie, but i'm wondering if her siding w/ Tony has to do w/ her ex-boyfriend. I'm thinking Hulk vs Hulkbuster trashing that city from AoU is partly to blame for all this....of course Wanda was responsible for all that.

I have some advice for Alex...let's hope your new college classmates didn't see you and your friends singing Amazing Grace around poolside. Good lord indeed...what's next...Kumbaya?! So was there some reason that it looked like the plates of choice were salad plates for that ginormous buffet? Let's see we had the sushi bar, the Osage County buffet, and the tex-mex buffet. Good luck getting all that on one tiny salad plate. Why does Ree seem to keep trying to incorporate "Osage County" into all of her events. I understand the connection due to location, but it's like she thinks if she says it enough on camera she can eventually trademark it or something. I saw everyone except for Paige and Bryce in the party scenes...were they home tending the farm? I was hoping after Alex thanked her parents for the party, that Ladd would say something like "don't worry, you can pay me back by getting up at 5am to help tend the ranch." Alright, onto the food... I was shocked that Ladd wasn't out in the street grilling up the steak and shrimp. Methinks that they got in trouble for cooking out on the sidewalk the last time, that's why they had their friend bring her food truck. Speaking of that food truck, did she even mention what the name of the food truck was, or what type of food she usually cooked. For that matter who has a food truck in a small town? It it was a catering truck, that I could see. So I guess the tex-mex bar wasn't enough so they had to have normal cowboy food on the Osage County buffet, it looked like what....brisket and all the other stuff. When she mentioned the sushi bar I kept thinking that someone would have gone and picked up supermarket sushi and travelled back from i'm guessing Tulsa with it. All I could think of is the food poisoning from that but damn if they didn't hire sushi caterers. Is it just me or would anyone else loved to have seen Ree try her hand at sushi? I would love to have seen put her own Pioneer Woman spin on it. I'm sure she would have made it using canned salmon....steak.....black beans....gravy....what else? I have never made peach salsa, probably wouldn't try it myself...but is it normal to use canned peaches? I really don't know. That queso....what was that, a half gallon of milk and a half gallon of heavy whipping cream? I can't figure out how that queso didn't turn red after she added the four cans of diced tomatoes w/ juice. I am totally craving some of those brown butter faux rice krispie treats. -
See I think this could totally be how this plays out. I could totally see a Phase 4 or would it be Phase 5 build up to where it's the MCU vs Galactus, just like the current Phase 1-3 is a lead up to the MCU vs Thanos. It wouldn't surprise me if this is what Marvel has in store.

Again though, Emma was interrupted while watching the video on the SD card...this time her mother interrupted her around the same point. As for what Audrey said after the camera stopped that's all hearsay since Rachel is dead.
-
I think there was more on the SD card of Audrey's. We have to remember that Emma stopped the video short after Noah asked her to. So either there is more on the SD card that they just didn't get to or there is another SD card hidden somewhere. I do believe Piper in that Rachel's parents were telling the truth that Audrey forced Rachel to do stuff she didn't want to, not just making out in a car. I'm think there are two sets of killers out there using the Brandon James shtick. I think we have Audrey who really did kill Nina and Tyler w/ Rachel as her accomplice as the first set of killers. If this pans out, then that is why Audrey killed Riley as well, she was going after the mean girls group at school who she now knows, thanks to Emma, was actually involved in the leaked tape (I'm not saying Riley was involved w/ the leaked tape, just that Audrey is lumping that group all in together). The second set of killers are the ones who have killed Rachel, perhaps b/c they figured out Audrey used the Brandon James persona in that way and decided to get revenge. I'm thinking the second set is Kiernan, who is possibly Brandon James son, and Piper, who i'm thinking is the illegitimate daughter of Brandon James and Daisy who was given up for adoption. The mayor and his wacky storyline and Mr. Branson's are just side storylines to make us think they are all involved.

Yeah they kinda glossed over the Andria being in love with "David" and wanting to be with him and the hooking up and miscarriage thing. I agree, it's been 10 years, wake up and realize it ain't going to happen. Plus when she called "David" out about going on catfish she was finally told the truth. Why couldn't she just accept it and move on at that point? Did she really have to make sure "David" wasn't 100% real? Faux "David" was f-ing crazy though.

Just watched Pride of the Yankees for the first time and wow, Cooper and Wright had some amazing chemistry going on. I know this will sound odd, but I think Teresa Wright has the most pleasant sounding laugh i've ever come across from an actress, it just a natural beautiful laugh.
-
The fact that Kiernan made mention, even if via dream, that the killer didn't both contacting Emma at all during their sexy times makes me think that he and his dad are both involved, since the dad was making sexy times w/ Emma's mom as well. I'm thinking the sheriff is Brandon James, but w/ reconstructive surgery going on which of course has effected his looks and possibly his voice depending on what his abnormality was that was fixed. I mean I could totally seen Brandon James under his new guise wanting to effectively come back into Daisy's life, and what better way.

I agree, Logan has always been in my mind as "Just point me in the direction of the nearest fight." Yes, he has that peaceful samurai thing going on, but when it comes to battle he is your go to man, the weapon basically.
-
I love JK Simmons, but my dislike for Miles Teller is the main reason I haven't rented the movie Whiplash at this point.
-
I'm hoping since the Deadpool movie looks awesome based on the trailer that FOX will be okay w/ letting the Fantastic Four go back to Marvel/Disney at this point. They have the three superhero franchises they want...X-Men / Wolverine / Deadpool.

Well here my thoughts on the Actress and the Little Foxes. In the Actress, boy that movie was just a mishmash. It was an odd movie, and I didn't know it was based on Ruth Gordon's life. Who thought it was a good idea for Teresa Wright to play the mother in this film? She was okay in the role, but it was just glaringly the age difference b/t she and Tracy. Jean Simmons was really overacting to me in this film. Just to go off subject in my own post for a moment, can anyone explain how Simmons didn't get an Oscar nomination for Elmer Gantry? She was so great in that role, and I felt more drawn to her character and performance than Shirley Jones. The Little Foxes was just okay for me, not great or spectacular. In fact I found the film quite slow until after Horace's collapse on the stairs. Teresa Wright was of course great in her role, as was Bette Davis. Perhaps someone can explain something to me, when Xan went to get her father from the hospital, just how much time had lapsed to when they got to the hotel where she ran into David? I thought perhaps it was a day or so, but it seemed like it was much longer when she ran into David again. David just seemed like a different person from when we last left him. Talking about Teresa Wright, i'm curious what others thought of the film that re-paired her w/ Cotton, the Steel Trap. It is a very good film, and seems like something Hitchcock would have done. I find it odd that in this film Wright and Cotton play husband and wife whereas in Shadow of a Doubt they were niece and uncle...although their relationship in that film feels somewhat incestuous at times.

I'm confused, b/c wouldn't the writing of Scott pre and post Nathan's birth all have been Claremont writing? I know it was pretty much forced that X-Factor was all about getting the original X-Men back together, and that all coincided with the retcon of Jean/Phoenix in able to bring her back. Who decided that for all this to work out that Scott would have to leave his wife and child? If nothing else X-Factor would have been awesome with newly revived Jean dealing with Scott, his son, and his wife who was a dead ringer for herself. They could have even had Scott fall out of love naturally with Madlyne as his feelings for Jean re-bubbled. I never really noticed Scott's demeanor changing after the birth of Nathan, but we all know now that Madlyne was f-ing with his head at that point, specifically in the battle for leadership b/t Scott and Ororo. Perhaps she was messing with him from the very begging of their encounters and she was starting to lose control and that is why the behavior change towards his family.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Logan's obsession with Jean due to that Jean look-alike, Rose, from his origin mini-series a few years past? I know it's probably was just the writers way of showing Logan has an obsession w/ red-headed women, Rose, Jean, Heather Hudson....making it all come full circle so to speak. I've always thought that Logan's feelings for Jean are just sexual in nature, a conquest he needs to prove that he can have whomever he wants and Jean's as wanting to see if the grass is greener. I think if a writer were to finally have the two of them hookup that Wolverine would lose his interest as he finally bagged her, and Jean would finally quench that crave of wild sex. Personally, i've always thought that Scott was the hotter guy b/t he and Logan. Those straight-laced types are usually the fun ones. I do wonder what Jean would think of the current Scott, the one who is the bigger badass these days in the X-Universe, the dangerous one. Hell...even the Phoenix entity chose Scott, so what does that say. In regards to Xavier's thoughts about Jean back in the beginning, I never thought of it lascivious or whatnot b/c when I first read that story, before I got into the X-Universe I thought Charles was still a young guy, perhaps in his late twenties at the time. He was just a bald headed guy in a wheelchair. When did we first learn that Xavier and Magneto were what, 20 or so years older than the original X-Men?

I agree, I haven't been overseas or anything but I love seeing these exotic locales to me from back then b/c I know now they wouldn't look the same more or less. I love seeing how tourists dressed back then everyone was so prim and properly dressed whereas today it would be flip flops, shorts, halter tops/tank tops, and the like with soooo much skin showing, and not the skin you want nor should be showing. It's like seeing pictures of Disneyland back at the beginning where people wore dresses and suits, which I do concur that it really isn't proper theme park attire. Oh how the times have changed, some for the better and some not. I just got done watching Escapade in Japan. What a wonderful charming little film. Timmy from Lassie was such a cute little boy. The film looks like it should have been in black and white, but maybe the print is just faded. I love Teresa Wright, she was such a great actress in all her films. I first came to her attention in Shadow of a Doubt, followed her to Mrs. Miniver, the Steel Trap, and the Best Years of Our Lives. I will be watching the Actress and the Little Foxes tonight so i'm looking forward to it.

I know we all know of the original fate of Jean after the Dark Phoenix Saga, the Shi'ar would have done a lobotomy of sorts on her and she would have lost her powers, then after the return to earth she and Scott would have left the X-Men together to start their normal life and her difficulty in coping w/ no powers. To be honest I would have loved to have seen Claremont play that story out. I would have loved to have seen Jean and Scott get married and have kids, and like someone posted upthread I would have loved to have seen Jean in a teacher role with the New Mutants. I think we would have essentially seen Jean's powers come back little by little...things like her being angry and moving things or shattering stuff, then perhaps the telepathy would have come into play where she could start hearing other people's thoughts. Jean would thinks perhaps she was going crazy or something. It could all lead up to her powers coming back full force and we find out the Phoenix never left her and we could have gotten the Jean we deserved. It would have been a great storyline I think.

What I most recall from the whole Jean/Phoenix thing was the big "psychic-rapport" that Cyclops and Jean had that is what made them super-special was in fact the Phoenix as Jean who created that rapport with Cyclops. I'm guessing that back from the cocoon Jean probably formed a psychic rapport w/ Scott at some point off panel, but who knows...I mean I wouldn't think it would carry over from Jean apparently absorbing the memories of the Phoenix and Madlyne Pryor. I love Scott and Jean as a couple, they are synonomous in the Marvel lore with the likes of Reed/Sue and Spider-Man/Mary-Jane. Trying to pair Jean and Logan up is just wrong. I get that Jean has feelings for the dark/brooding/mysterious Logan, but I figure it was just lust but her love has always been with Scott. I'm glad we are getting Old-Man Logan and teen Jean in the new Marvel Universe, b/c it seems they can't go with a pairing of those two anymore, or one would think.

Some thoughts on "A Light in the Piazza" which up till this point I thought was just a Broadway show. It was a great, but interesting movie. I loved the beautiful cinematography and I don't think I have ever seen a Olivia de Havilland film that wasn't a period piece. She is a very beautiful woman. It was an interesting movie story wise. You don't run into many mother basically selling off daughter w/o the husbands knowledge films too often. I didn't see the twist coming that Clara was actually 26 b/c the actress actually looked like a girl in her late teens or early twenties. I loved how the mother realized how Fabrizio was good for her daughter and was able to calm her where nobody else could at that point, but just selling her off like that was so strange to me. It left me wondering what Clara was going to think the night of her wedding when Fabrizio tries to consummate the marriage, would she understand or would it be like rape? What would Clara's father think when only his wife returns to America and tells him that their daughter is now married to the Italian suitor that had taken Clara's interest as well as them now having to bay $15,000 to the family. It was a strange, yet interesting film all the way around.
