  1. normasm is correct in that Diana would no longer have competency to give consent if Reid is her guardian. He would be able to approve or refuse certain medications for her, but involving her in possible illegal activity would constitute an abuse of power.
  2. I hope they aren't setting up an affair between JJ and Spencer. Not that I saw any of that, but it's just where my mind went.
  3. If any of you listen to the Real Crime Profile podcast with Jim Clemente and Lisa Zambetti (sp?), at one point they talked about Mr. Scratch in his early days and actually had planned a huge arc with him royally screwing with Hotch's mind every which way but Tuesday. They talked about potentially breaking up the team by destroying Hotch, so they did have a plan to use Mr. Scratch a great deal, and maybe the guy had already signed on for so many episodes or something. This podcast was done just when they found out CM had been renewed for season 12, and clearly before TG was fired. So I kinda give them a pass on overusing the actor a bit. I do feel sorry for the kid who played Jack, as I can't see him getting a lot of other work.
  4. Blech. She gets over it? What a load of crap.
  5. There were parts I liked, and parts I didn't. I liked the beginning where Sherlock and John fooled Mycroft, but I hated how smug John was about it. He has always stood up to Mycroft, but was he always such a dick? I didn't believe for a minute Mycroft would be stupid enough to allow Moriarty in with Euros for an unsupervised five minutes. Wouldn't happen in a million years. I think they tried to show it being a result of Mycroft's hubris, but I was unconvinced. Still not sure where Mrs. Hudson gets her animosity for Mycroft, but her line about the tea was funny. Loved Sherlock saying John was family. The actress playing Euros was great, but yea, no way she could entrance people within minutes. When Mycroft was describing how he was remarkable and Euros was genius, I got a flashback to Simon Tam describing his sister River. With the Saw/Bond/Silence of the Lambs similarities it's almost as if the writers just picked their favorite parts of their favorite shows and threw them all in this script. Explosion scene was stupid. Hated the ending where all they had to do was show the special snowflake some love and everything is all better. Girl needed a bullet to the brain. Although Mary's monologue did wrap things up, I didn't like it. It made no sense that she would have made another video. And at the end she states Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. Wouldn't she have mentioned her husband first? I hope they are done, as I had my hoped up after season three, but I don't want to see how much worse it can get.
  6. In keeping with the movie theme, I immediately thought of Die Hard, where the wife's colleague pretends to know John to try and strike a deal with the bad guys, only to end up dying due to stupidity. I too thought Joan felt guilty for not being more guarded about the bank information, but I can hand wave that she probably looked at her near death experience and thought, "Here I work at a bank just waiting for a husband, which will be hard because of dad. I've got to get out of here!" I do wish Morse had told her his feelings though.
  7. I'm thinking she was probably on some kind of compassionate leave, since she was the Godmother, but that is pure speculation. It could have been cut, but I loved it. In the original stories I felt like Sherlock respected that dog more than most people, so to show Toby processing his surroundings much like Sherlock does gave me a chuckle. That, or the director said "Play the entire episode like you are in a manic episode!" I don't know. He shot a man to save Sherlock very shortly after meeting him - that is a testament to his loyalty. I just can't see him doing this. Also, he was a flirt in the original stories, but never while married. I loved this movie! One of the best adaptations of Holmes, in my opinion, and the fact that they used Basil Rathbone's voice to do Holmes' voice at the end just sealed the deal. And can you really beat Vincent Price?
  8. Meh. I didn't really care for this at all. The bit with Sherlock on his phone 24/7 was annoying and made him seem a bigger jerk than usual. It felt like his camaraderie with John was replaced with a similar feeling with Mary. Toby was shoehorned in. John flirting with another girl was TOTALLY out of character and stupid. Poor Lestrade and Molly had less to do than usual. John being angry was stupid as well, because she jumped in front of the damned bullet, which honestly makes her stupid too. If she had time to lunge four feet over, he could have moved his ass. TL:DR - Meh, this was not to my taste.
  9. It depends on the physician. Some prefer to get into the thick of it. Personally, I detest what I call "excitement medicine" and so I sit back and try to analyze every possible situation, preferring to do the directing myself. I am not a surgeon though, and am referring only to critical or code situations.
  10. B is for the beryllium spheres that they would search high and low for, only to discover that Blanche had them turned into some trendy looking earrings.
  11. Yes, but if no one did - that would make for a jumping point for a spin off. Of course, like baby deaths and whatnot, it won't happen, but it would be hilarious. I second, third and fourth this. I have never been able to stand Famke Janssen. I'm not sure if it's because of the roles she picks (she is never convincing to me) or that fact that she seems very stuck up in interviews.
  12. Bringing back Gibson? I'm wondering if this is just clickbait or if it is being reported to try and boost ratings for the show.
  13. And this is why I have fish. Person of Interest did a great job of introducing a dog, and it was included several times a season, in addition to being mentioned when the dog wasn't in the episode. The whole team practically fought over the dog. On topic: Garcia/Alvez: *shudder* Just stop. There's quirky, which is what she used to be, and unbearable, which is how she is now - making everything about her. I hear enough about her personal life as it is, if I have to hear about her fanning over him I will have to sever ties with this show. I genuinely like Alvez as a character. He is the first team member since Prentiss started that seems to genuinely enjoy his job, rather than being all angsty or brooding.
  14. *sigh* Bread poultice. I just got off of a week working nights. Forgive me.
  15. I thought this might have been his idea of what a breast poultice is - which are still occasionally used among the elder generation.
  16. Wow. That idea doesn't have any appeal to me, and I really like Sheldon's character.
  17. V is for Viagra (created in 1998), which all the girls may have shared the benefit of with a partner.
  18. That only adds to the Chappy love, and it probably set the tone for why they had such onscreen playful chemistry.
  19. Yea, what mledawn said. My 4yo son wants to marry me at least twice a month, or whenever he gets tired of being married to his stuffed frog.
  20. Hahahaha! Well, some days I'd like to donate them, but it helps that they're awfully cute.
  21. I thought Penny was totally reasonable, because clearly I am a horrible person. My husband is a bit of a hoarder, and I have slyly gotten rid of a few choice items of his myself. Example: He still has jeans from high school (about 10 pair) to add to his already hefty 40 pair collection, and no way in hades will he ever fit into a size 29 jeans again. So they get hidden for six months, and if they are not asked for in that time, they get donated. Same goes for the kids. To be fair, I never get rid of his stuff without getting rid of some of mine, but I think what Penny did was fine. She was just moving them to storage.
  22. Thank you! I knew he was on a long-time show that I liked, but couldn't for the life of me remember which one. I thought he did great, and I wished he would have had more screen time. Loved when he said he would explain in "layman's terms" and Joan was laughing her ass off. He didn't really come off as the blow hard that Sherlock described. Off topic: I always thought Owain Yeoman would be a dead ringer for Mr. Incredible if they ever did a live action version.
  23. See, that's how I felt. Amy was no longer part of the party; she was the outsider. Sheldon was being open in a matter of hours when it took Amy significantly longer to get him to open up. I give her a pass.
  24. I have two kids (and one on the way), and I second this. I don't care if I'm eighty and have no children anymore, I think I will always own a minivan. The Swiss Army Knife of vehicles is spot on. On topic: baby stories don't bother me, because it is a huge change. I just wish the rest of the guys would have the same character growth as Howard has had. Raj doesn't bother me either. He and Howard always had sort of a brosexual thing going, so it makes sense that he's coming off creepy now.
