  1. The grad students seemed to pretty quickly see that the kids need attention from adults. That business between the 2 boys - I wonder if they (the boys) cooked that up to embarrass their parents? I think it's obvious that Janelle has no idea how to discipline her children, and Kody is of course just a blustering clown.
  2. I just watched the European Championship highlights on NBC. On the ladies side, Tuktamysheva was the only one that seemed to connect with the audience; the others were just jump, wave arms, slow spin, jump, jump... she played a character. Very enjoyable to watch.
  3. I don't think he's a bad actor. He's not given a lot of interesting things to do, though.
  4. They also captioned them as "Kody and Robyn's daughter(son)". It's possible they have had their names legally changed, but it's also possible that they just used that captioning for convenience - as opposed to "Robyn's son from her first marriage."
  5. That glass of "iced tea" with 4 teabags hanging out made me gag. A restaurant in the South that doesn't know how to make iced tea? They better fix that, pronto! I like this entire family. I know a couple families that are just like that (except the parents' English isn't as good, but their written English would put you to shame).
  6. Did you notice it was a "jackalope"? It had antlers!
  7. Even though in this sort of "family" all the wives are supposed to be equal - ie, legal vs "committed" - there does seem to be a cachet with being the "first" and legal wife. I would love to be a fly on the wall and see the "real" results within the family of juggling the definitions of the first and the legal wife. Even if Meri agreed for the good of the family (whatever that "good" is) - I imagine it causes real anguish for her to know her position as legal wife has been usurped.
  8. It will be interesting to see if this is discussed on the show, and if so what explanation they give.
  9. I think they were saying things they knew that Sheldon would react to if he indeed heard them. Like when Sheldon said that he wanted to "have coitus" with Amy when he was testing her in the first episode of the season.
  10. Great episode tonight - I liked the unexpected warm fuzzy (and $$$) from the brothers. I hope we'll see more of them!
  11. No serious athlete would have turned down an opportunity to go to the Olympics.
  12. I'm glad to see others worrying about Butch! I think in the opening credits he (Drew Powell) was listed as a "guest star" where in previous weeks he was in the regular cast credits.
  13. I was glad to see at least the men's and ladies short programs. I hope NBC gives us as much coverage for World's.
  14. She didn't steal Mirai's spot. The figure skating association decided who went to Sochi. And the reason the US team had that 3rd spot was due to Ashley's performance in the World's.
  15. I don't understand why everyone here is so down on Ashley Wagner. She gave a stunning performance! And she is giving the interviewers exactly what they want - a story to go with the "Gracie Gold is a princess" meme. Ashley's program is the best use of lyrics that I've seen. I also liked Joshua Farris's program on the men's side.
  16. Ok, with all the plot holes and a superhero and all that, why is it that the only thing that really bugs me that they were transporting a multi-million dollar painting without any kind of crating - or even bubble wrap?
  17. Normally when I watch this show I just shake my head. But this episode made me irrationally angry; I just wanted to get in there and slap every adult on the screen.
  18. I gotta disagree with you there; I think she's pretty good.
  19. When the SSR came to pick up Jarvis, Peggy's purse was in plain sight. I was waiting for one of the SSR guys to mention that; I wonder if this will come up in a later episode.
  20. I have been watching the old "Superman" TV series on MeTV (the one with George Reeves. When this originally aired, did people recognize how stupid it is? Was it just supposed to be a kid's show? But George Reeves in those 50s (business) suits - yum!
  21. The subplot with Luke didn't bother me - that's a typical teenage thing to do. She was out in the open; it's not like she was in her room or even her back yard and he was spying on her with a telescope or camera. I thought Lily was hilarious - the slapstick was over the top, but it IS a comedy. When she hit him with that "extension fist" I almost fell off my couch!
  22. I just saw (on Cosy TV) the episode where Reed shoots someone "Log 33: It All Happened So Fast". I thought Kent McCord did a good job showing Reed's slow reaction to killing a man. I was disappointed that in the next episode he didn't show any aftereffects; one would think that on a show that was supposed to be a realistic depiction of patrol officers they would have had a bit of a story arc on that.
  23. Bonanza The Big Bang Theory Modern Family The Closer
  24. They were saying "the valet" - as in valet parking. I had the same problem; thought it was "ballet".
