  1. Where did you get Cam making $40K a year? I don't remember them mentioning that.
  2. I think Alex is intelligent and attractive. She is really bad at interpersonal relationships, though.
  3. When Howard's sock stuck to the floor, I almost fell of my couch laughing. I wonder how they managed that? That and the "feeding the lions dead sinners" were the best parts of the episodes. And I think Mary won this Mom vs Mom round.
  4. If Kody actually took responsibility for his families, I can see him with a lot of stress. It seems to me that the wives are the ones that are stressed; Kody just sails through his life, knowing that there's always a way to scam money right around the next corner.
  5. I've noticed when she has something around her neck, she looks a lot younger. When her neckline is bare, there's something that makes her look her age.
  6. The fact that Jay would even stay on the team after finding out he had to pretend he was gay is pretty amazing, considering that a couple years ago he was actually thinking of not going to Mitch and Cam's wedding. So good for Jay for growing.
  7. I was sorry they even brought this up, because (a) no one want to hear that, and (b) there's no way that could happen, either with a diva cup or half a tampon.
  8. Aw, come on, he's a middle school kid. No middle school kid is likeable.
  9. Did anyone else notice that when Geillis was beginning to reveal herself to Claire, her accent became less intense? (I'm not sure how to phrase it; less "Scottish", perhaps?) Normally I have to turn on close captions to understand her, and I understood every word she said. That's when I thought "she's definitely from the future."
  10. Well, we have seen that Dougal does lose some of his dignity when he's had too much to drink; remember him attacking Claire? He was dealing with grief AND guilt. I just I wish we had met his wife before this happened so we could have a clue at their relationship. Actually if this was in modern time I would think he was having an Ambien reaction; I have a family member who did something similar.
  11. I think it's telling that Raj and Leonard realized that Sheldon and Howard had a creative spark that they lacked. Some people are just "idea men". But the world needs people who can take and idea and run with it, following through to completion, and Raj and Leonard are like that. Anyway, I like to see episodes where they're all working together as a team.
  12. I dunno - Amy and Sheldon have each said they love the other. Amy puts up with a LOT, but from Sheldon's view, he's putting up with a lot too. She's changed his life and it unsettles him to realize that he's not totally in control of his life. Amy is a wonderful character, and she has grown to the point where she regularly tells Sheldon "No, that's not acceptable behavior." And Sheldon listens to her and learns. I myself could not put up with Sheldon. But Sheldon obviously has characteristics that Amy finds attractive. I love that they love each other; it gives me hope.
  13. "Mom Duty" - I really loved Brenda's mother, and in the first episode where we saw her we could see so many traits she and Brenda shared. When she absolutely NAILED Brenda on how she knew Fritz was moving in... Brenda never saw that coming, but it was pure Brenda Leigh Johnson! "Slippin'" - I think this is where we begin to see Taylor develop a grudging respect for Brenda. "To Protect & to Serve" - one of these days I'm going to try to figure out exactly how much money Flynn and Provenza spent to pay the team back for their help in keeping them out of trouble. Also, is this the first time we see Flynn and Provenza as friends doing things together outside of work? "Out of Focus" - OK, let's all just agree: Dale Dickey can do no wrong.
  14. I enjoyed the fight between Penny and Leonard. I don't blame Leonard for being surprised and a little annoyed when he found out Penny made so much more than he did; it demonstrated a shift in the way things have always been, and he was unsettled. A very human reaction; it was just comedic gravy for it to be caught in a podcast. (Remember, without conflict there is no comedy.) I'm glad Penny has a "money guy". Her employer probably has something set up to help employees with investments; lots of companies do that. It makes more sense for her to rely on a professional than for Penny to suddenly be an investment genius.
  15. Anna Faris is killing it this season!
  16. Didn't the Swedish author say something about a wife? I think she should dump the boyfriend, but not for a married guy. I read somewhere that the critics said the series got better and better, and so far it's true. I hope Liza and her boss develop a great rapport. I like all the main female characters (well, I haven't decided on Hilary Duff yet.)
  17. I think the bio father had already declined to be tested, probably fearing discovery. He must have been a real jerk, But you would think the de facto father would have used the DNA evidence to twist his arm; he could have probably threatened to sue for child support. I often wonder what path a mind takes to end up at "yeah, I should kill him; he deserves to die."
  18. I don't know the song, but I always liked the bluesy music they play at the end of many episodes. In "Blue Blood" (the one where the officer was murdered by his partner when he found out his son was fathered by the partner), I thought it was interesting when Gabriel ran over Brenda when she first started interviewing the father. Gabriel interrupted Brenda to ask Hubbard how was his son doing, and Brenda kinda blinked and realized that she needed to back off a bit. Nice touch showing how comfortable Brenda and David were becoming with each other. In "Mom Duty", the second episode of the night, we get introduced to Brenda's mother. After seeing her die in the last season of the Closer, it was nice to see her chirping and thank-yew-ing. I thought it was sweet how Provenza turned on the charm with her!
  19. I'm always amazed at the language used in work situations on cable TV. In over 30 years on the job, I have NEVER heard the F word spoken by a coworker in a meeting. We are grownups.
  20. Well, they DID always have a bowl of apples on the table by the fireplace, so obviously they DID like apples... Boy, the Simpsons have been around a long time, haven't they? Season 17 in 2005!
  21. How else would you give someone a large amount of money like that? I don't know anyone who doesn't use checks, and I use them quite often when I don't want to use a credit card.
  22. I think that was the point... he was doing something spontaneous and fun.
  23. I don't think there was a worm; Luke and Manny just accepted that as fact, and since they were "drunk" they didn't question it. And since it was missing, one of them MUST have drunk it, but they didn't know who.
  24. The "how do you set up a twitter account"? doesn't bother me so much, because she didn't whine about it - she just looked it up and did it. The bottom line is she's competent at her job, which I can appreciate. But the waxing question - I just wanted to slap those twirps. This fad is as dumb as the "low hanging pants" fad of a couple years ago.
  25. Croelick was sooo creepy - one of my favorite villains on the show!
