I think I've seen "Twilight as written by a professor with lots of book porn" which seems about right for me. I did enjoy the series and the 1st book but they aren't particularly deep, although they kinda pretend to be. I think Teresa Palmer is okay here. She doesn't really lift a lot of Diana's clunkier material in the way Goode does but I don't find her annoying in the way I might have done, so that's ok. I do wish we had more information on Daemons. They seem to have an interesting background, not allowed to communicate etc, 3rd class citizens and almost ignored by Vampires and Witches until they do something "wrong". I'd really like to know more about Sophie's backstory, though I guess it's tied into the book. Alex Kingston usually annoys the hell out of me, even as River Song but I didn't get annoyed here. Also nice to see Sophia Myles pop up.

And moved on from obsessing about Oliver "killing" Shado to asking for his help to find his just as crazy son and now being consumed by that. This show has a lot of lines from both good guys and villains that seem like they should be significant or come back to haunt them but just go no where. I mean I guess they theoretically could twist that she's Oliver and BS's kid but it seems a lot of work to do to make it happen soon, probably involving BS somehow "tricking"/raping Oliver which undoes all of her greyness and "redemption" or then getting drugged or amnesia. Since it's unlikely to be the result of an affair *touches wood* heh. ;) And really what would be the point the actors still don't have any chemistry and it destroys her "friendship" with Felicity they've taken so much trouble to establish.

I'm kinda afraid to take that test. ;) That TVLine article laying out the possibilities of the (yes terribly bleak FFs) reminded me that I had wondered that with the media and not just fans openly speculating that Felicity was A) Alive and B) not evil that even if they had been meaning to go that way that it would get changed to "yes she definitely is" to preserve spoilers/gotcha! moments and the FFs are so vague as to be nonsensical anyway. Since "Felicity is alive and undercover" (if it comes) will have ceased to be a surprise. Then again I'm not sure they care that much or would be willing to change a hopefully planned out arc based on speculation that most of the viewers won't read. Just a few Boxing Day boredom musings.

Hmm, this wasn't what I was expecting at all, even from knowing the premise. It wasn't terrible but meh and I wasn't a big fan of the way they structured the storytelling. And just because the premise is quite dark doesn't mean you have to keep the lights off all the time, that visual always bugs me. I did like Master Lin and the cast weren't bad. I will watch a couple more episodes.

If it was LOT an animated episode would seem completely natural on Arrow I think it would just seem like some weird gimick they did, YMMV. A documentary ep is also gimmicky but more in line with the recent revelations about Oliver who is already famous both as Billionaire Playboy and Mayor. Who knew what when, Scandal etc.

@Mellowyellow I was in the silver volts of London and got somethings (no gems). If you are ever in London its requires booking but it's not excusive and it's amazing.

Yeah that was another point I was going to make. He as only 1/3rd hearted at best. Sleeping with someone to get a good business write up would have even been a step up from not bothering to turn up to the office in 2 months (whilst Felicity did) and then signing over his company on a (legally biding?!) napkin to someone he knows doesn't have his best interests at heart because she has told him so.

I was annoyed that Barry used the "did you know he slept with his girlfriend's sister? Hahaha gottya!"" and Oliver's "oh hey no fair!" reaction to it. Because that is the path that lead to the destruction of Oliver and Sara's 20 year old lives and decent into literal hell/rape/torture/murder etc which is still on going for both of them and Barry knows some of that even if Kara doesn't. It also lead to E1LL's death as a side bar very eventually. Not to mention Oliver and Sara both mentioned in Invasion!that none of them would be here if they hadn't got on the Gambit all those years ago including Barry and therefore he wouldn't know Kara. And Oliver not remembering if he'd slept with a reporter in S2 was just dumb, he hadn't slept with that many women since he'd come back that he couldn't remember even if it was supposed to be between Isobel and Sara. That was a cheap "Comics Ollie" joke. Plus anyone who calls themselves a hero or thinks they are morally better than someone who does essentially the same thing (and it is) is automatically suspect than someone who sits at the same table and says they definitely aren't but sacrifices themselves for others over and over again. I know this was part one of two for next year's "But he really was a total hero (again!)" etc but it made everyone dumber and meaner than usual.

I think they both pull off those scenes that would otherwise come out cheesy or OTT with many couples including other pairings they've both been in and it's often the little things as shown above.

Yeah Jessica is really bugging me these days when she was my favourite previously. It cracks me up that @Mellowyellow mentioned a few times that she had a lot in common with early Jessica. I'm really worried that I've suddenly developed a severe case of trypophobia in the last few days after seeing LOTs new Big Bad and having a visceral reaction. I previously had no idea what it even was and now I see it *everywhere* since then. Gah, skin crawling. I hope I don't have to watch the rest of the season with my laptop turned away like a kid hiding behind the sofa. And that I will be able to walk past a tree in the park near me again soon. What is wrong with me?

Whatever the reason BTS I wouldn't be surprised if we won't be seeing Oliver in the FFs before next year's Crisis and maybe even "hints" that it could be a merged future. Hey maybe the "evil" Felicity in the FFs was a merged E1&2 or something. That is if they are serious that there will be big repercussions in deaths and or merging which feels pointless to speculate on right now.

Not to mention anything they're going to want to hint at/keep secret or change with Crisis. However much or little that might be.

Neron is a trypophobic nightmare and up until I saw it I didn't even know that was a thing, that's going to be very hard for me to watch, worse than Mallus's eyes for sure which were bad enough for me.

I think at one point this was the episode that was titled "Somebody's going to get fired for this!"

I'm sure it will do very well on apps, Live+7, other streaming etc but the raw numbers don't surprise me. This far in people either watch the Arrowverse or they don't and a "big kooky spectacle" is only going to go so far. Especially as even people who only watch one complain about having to learn/catch up with what's going on with the others. New viewers interested in Batwoman? Not yet it seems and TH's Supes has been on Supergirl a handful of times.

LOT takes your "Elseworlds" and says "yeah that's just a normal episode for us come see the real "Elseworlds", and it's awesome because we know and love every single one of our characters!"

She looks gorgeous and happy, I'd love to get a proper shot of her dress. Less sure about the white jacket but congrats.

She liked it because it's right, she liked it because it's wrong and she's laughing, she liked it because everyone's still speculating about her character, she liked it because it's about her storyline. All or some of the above? Right now I'm trying not to even speculate on it because otherwise it's going to drive me crazy until they reveal it as late in the game as possible and it's probably going to be convoluted as hell and not make any sense if what we've seen of the rest of the FFs are anything to go by.

Is that what they're filming now or 14?

Well I hope it's not an indication of her screentime/storyline in the ep they're filming now because I'll be skipping that one then. Though she does also do a lot of random cheerleading/ass kissing for it as well I think.

Not surprised with the angst coming in the crossover, "perfect" opportunity for angst/hijinks. A bit like last year where they had to have the argument over getting married in ep 1 to get married in ep4. Though with the FFs especially I think we'd have had it anyway. And really it needed to happen, I just wish it had played out a bit differently.

This is the same Oliver who deliberately put her in Slade's Crosshairs without explaining anything and expected her to stab him with the cure with a sword to her throat. Plus all the other stuff she's done for him.

He should do considering he was bracing himself for news of her death in ep 1 and she was beaten up. This is all in service of the crappie FFS where we're supposed to believe she's "evil" . They're 10 times worse than the flashbacks because it will continue to be vague the rest of the season. With lots of Dinah.

I just don't get the Dinah thing. Like I know she's BC and JH openly kisses ass every single chance she gets but even so she's not a good actress and can't play nuances and never had any kind of real rapport with Oliver. And the same writers room all know Felicity was abandoned by everyone right? But oh no because plot and now FFS we have to do double the forgetting and handwaving about not even half a season.
