And didn't he massacre the cops *at* Jitters. Among the other massacres/deaths that have happened there.

If they bring back baby Sara and make JJ an adopted son, all will be forgiven. They went to the trouble of getting the same actor several years after they promised him they'd want to use him some day so. I'd say he's a bio Diggle.

Yeah. It's as vague as possible for cliffhangers It's William and Roy! Felicity is totally dead and 100% evil! Bare mentions of Oliver because of the crossover (maybe) etc. Maybe things are fixed, maybe they aren't. Maybe they were and now aren't. Although this show does have a bad habit of doubling down on things that really aren't working. And nothing making sense in the end.

Social Media and Behind the Scenes: AKA Everything Else Not "News and Media"
Featherhat replied to Zalyn's topic in Arrow
I remember when the show was renewed last year some of us got a little obsessed because all the noobs immediately celebrated but it took a while for DR and EBR to respond (and she didn't at all the year before) now I just can't bring myself to give a damn. -
The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
Featherhat replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
The Dear John scene where he gives her the picture back was unintentionally? hilarious. She's dreaming that they can get back to her 5 year plan of being a Starling City Power Couple (right after Tommy died for her) and he can't run away fast enough. Again. He'd rather go back to living on Lian Yu. And since when was this her own show? If the character and couple had actually worked they wouldn't have needed to sideline her and be on their 4th iteration of BC right now. The fact that they did and the show is going in to S8 shows me LL wasn't essential. How come there are very few articles complaining how unfair it is than CD got let go and Tommy never fulfilled his destiny as Dark Archer? -
I guess he could be talking about when SA leaves whether it be after the crossover, after S8-S15 etc but it sounded like new shows to me. If they want to do William, Zoe, Maya whoever in the future, well they aren't exactly getting me stoked to watch that either.

I don't think we were ever going to get through the FFs without Oliver being presumed dead or at the very least missing for years even without the crossover muddying the waters.

I wouldn't mind a well written poly relationship on TV, I just have no faith that any writers would be able to make it in the slightest bit longterm without turning it into a love triangle or "just having fun on casual dates". I guess unless Rosa or a character on another show had one almost completely off screen. Forgot to mention I also liked that the point of the 300 questions was to keep you busy until someone else had made the decision for you.

Unexpected future love interest, unexpected future child, brother...…for everyone! Just spitballing. ;) It would be a good ep to introduce adult JJ and I'm not sure I'd find anyone else particularly exciting or interesting given the state of the characters in the FFs. What did the original casting notice say? Could it be it was filmed after the rest of the ep when the JJ actor was there or he was there before?

Eh, I've seen even really good, thoughtful sci fi shows (Farscape IMHO) handwave that one where a planet wouldn't have reciprocal translator microbes. I might have liked some more handwaveium about it but I was okay. I guess they wanted the iconic "Is there anybody out there" message to come through immediately. I'm watching the show for the characters and letting go of most other things and it's working for me. I was iffy about continuing when I wasn't doing that last season but now I am I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

"Dante" being the non Diaz BB of the season maybe?

I really loved how excited the crew were to make a real first contact, though I guess they have made unexpected ones before on the show. But yes some research before hand would have been good, though it seems it was difficult to get information on things from the planet's libraries etc even when they knew what they were looking for with the Gelliacs. New security officer was good even though Jessica Szhor is often iffy as an actress for me and I miss Alara. Their species rarely leaves the planet and rarely joins the military but when they do they seem to be attractive young women.... That was one quick noticing of a single (small) star reappearing and remembering it was Gilliac based but okay it was a creative solution to the problem. Admiral Ted Danson! I think Bortus is right, eggs are much easier than live babies and you only had to sit on it for 3 weeks. The Union are very unhelpful on the show but I don't get the vibe that the Orville crew will go rogue on them unless for specific "to be forgiven by next week" storylines. It's useful for the writing to have obstructive administrators.

Not my favourite episode but high school Jake was hilarious, as was Amy getting turned on by Jake's attendance record and community service. And Jake just going with it and grinning when she ended up in the library randomly writing a book report. Sigh, another "Gina is a jerk but comes up smelling like roses and people telling her she's awesome" but it was a lot better than some of the other times. We did get a last look at Jake and Gina's childhood friendship, which the show really dropped after S1 and I guess it's a sweet way for AS and CP to acknowledge that it was based on their lives. I didn't miss her when she was on maternity leave and won't now. She's such a sacred cow for the writers despite being the jerkiest character. The other plots were a bit weak but we did get a lot of info on Rosa and she and Boyle work well together. So glad they dropped the creepy obsession for real friendship. Holt realising things could be fun without being productive was cute.

Isn't there supposed to be a big twist in the 150th? I wonder if that starts to tie everything together. I can see Young!Roy coming back but I'm not sure that would end up being good for Thea or their relationship, especially seeing as how it doesn't seem to have gone well in the future and Willa won't be around longterm. Sigh. I think the Arrow writers in general can get creatively lazy (Oliver learning the same lessons over and over again) and they've claimed a "return to S1" several times so I can see Emiko's List and FFs as "full circle symmetry" and having no idea what else to do.

I think it's a possibility that a "more Dinah" mandate has come down from on high. However we discussed that a lot in S5 and it hasn't materialised (maybe until now). She also doesn't (yet I guess) have her own storyline, she's just mainly exposition. Even in the SPs where there could be a connection with Oliver, he isn't giving her anything, either from the writing or SA. Another possibility is that there was no danger of anyone giving a shit DD was alive in the FFs so they could "safely" use her and have other, more popular characters used to tease and for twists. And yeah both the writers and JH know she's not well liked even by BC!forever! fans. They've lost Thea and Quentin so NTA are the last ones apart from OTA standing (enter Emiko) to do non Big Bad eps with. With KC I'll always think there were some backstage shenanigans but since she's there she might as well be in a BOP. It also fits in with giving Slade his two eps last year and Suicide Squad's new name - they need episodes to pad out the season. I guess we'll see. JH didn't exactly carry her Vince heavy arc last year very well IMO. The last BOP ep wasn't great and "Girls Night Out" on the Flash was appalling for me so unless it's LOT I don't get my hopes up. Supergirl you *should* be doing better than in the past.

Heroes on SG-1 was also surprisingly good. And well, you know.....

Oops, sorry, not actual snark my phone autocorrects without me realising it half the time. I was in a Nero's when I wrote it otherwise I'd say it was corporate advertising sabotage. It will be interesting to see her on her own show though.

I think the reason is "they only had PJA for a very limited time". He was mostly there to kick start Amaya's storyline anyway. They did (do) get a vague on "cool" timey wimey set pieces. I do assume that Thawne murdering him before they "fought each other many times" etc caused him to sink out of existence and the timelines where he knew Mick enough to trust him enough to go back and warn about NYC no longer exist. Especially as the Legends then averted the 1942 crisis they should never ever go back to anyway. The whole JSA apart from Amaya and Commander Steel only had minimal roles anyway. Starbucks had 3 lines until her Spear episode and I'm not sure Dr Mid-Nite spoke more than 3 in 3 episodes.

Sadly I don't think Curtis is going anywhere any time soon. Aside from the fact that I think the writers just like the character and actor "he's just like Felicity, only a guy and a mask, win win!" He's their gay, black, comics canon superhero. He ticks too many boxes. The fact that he's not in the FFs gives me hope but I 100% expect that to be dashed. Maybe he's the actual villain because he got left out of the cool kids one too many times? Sadly he was probably working with Not!Evil!Felicity and is vowing to carry on after her "death". As for Diaz, I assume he probably kills someone though his interpretation of beloved character might be a bit vague. Guy has got to give them something I guess.

Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT
Featherhat replied to Trini's topic in Legends Of Tomorrow
Yeah me too. Arrow is the only one that has ever been available on Prime here, and only once the season after it had finished airing. I checked and 1-5 is still available to watch but S6 is unavailable to buy just like the rest. Frustrating. I know everything is available to buy on other platforms but Amazon was definitely the most convenient to me and I thought they made quite a bit of revenue for the shows out of it so it's a little strange. -

I can't buy any CW DC shows on Amazon either and I'm in the UK and the DC streaming isn't coming here any time soon (Titans is elsewhere) and so not sure about if/when the WB streaming service will come here. Arrow 1-5 which is on Prime Video streaming is still available - for now. It might just be an Amazon/WB wrangling issue. -
I can't think they'd keep him for S8, at least not as the BB but who the F knows at this point. Do we know he is/was signed on for 13 or is that just the least a regular generally does?
-
Curtis is just upset that once again the cool kids are shutting him out of decisions/knowledge, which is the thing he always gets most upset about. If he was included he would be all for whatever's going on. I guess Oliver and BS could both have separate Diaz things that come back to haunt them and they work together about it or something but that the only reason I can see the stories connecting or urgh maybe even "bonding". I'd hope it was something completely different for both but this is a Tonya episode so... Carrie Cutter is sometimes entertainingly crazy and AG is good but I think the character is played out at this point. Less said about 3D the better.

I'm entirely confused and burned out on whoever she may or may not be from anyone's potential daughter or niece, including gigantic but unlikely swerves in pairings or just some random new character. I thought it was most likely she was an Olicity daughter, now I'm much less so but more convinced that Theroy I guess. Mostly I just want to get the reveal over so we can get on with some actual answers from the FFs.

Target Practice: Poisoned Arrow (The Bitterness Thread)
Featherhat replied to slayer2's topic in Arrow
I just about hit the roof with the "a light inside you Sara never had". Because seriously the fact that Sara was still half way human, and remorseful about joining a death cult (under pain of execution) proves she had a gigantic light (as does Oliver). And that's before everything on LOT, which I would take any day over being Arrow's BC. Laurel also went through a lot but it pales in comparison to watching her sister go through literal hell and back. Which was one of the problems with E1LL in general, a lot of tell and little show. I seriously had no idea how Oliver who had previously proved to be obsessed with anything and everyone to do with Thea but defending a woman who deliberately tried to sabotage both of them, including his secret that he had just killed to protect made no sense what so ever. He must have been really unhappy Felicity was attempting to move on a very sexually frustrated. But even that doesn't cut it.
