  1. Pat Quinn stayed there some of the time and the Rauners use it as well, but it's a shambles.
  2. Evan Arnold has been everywhere for a long time, he just fades into the background a lot.
  3. Thanks, I figured that out from the Comcast listings last night. DVR is set to record! Based on the comments here, I'm looking forward to this.
  4. Lifetime's website kinda sucks. I can't figure out if they will broadcast this again (hard to imagine they won't), but it does appear that the movie can be streamed online.
  5. There is also a thread now regarding the cast in other roles. :-)
  6. I watched ItW during a flight recently, and Blunt seemed to be on-screen much more than Kendrick -- also thought she was better.
  7. Ringo's induction did not prevent the Smiths or any other musical act from also being inducted. His entry was through the Musical Excellence Category. Green Day, Joan Jett, et al, were inducted in the Performers category. Presumably that's where people think the Smiths and others belong as well.
  8. After the "excesses" re name and cover art for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Magical Mystery Tour, I understand they decided to make a 180 with the most stripped-down cover and title possible. Ironically, many of the songs were solo pieces or had other band members basically acting as session players for each other (or not at all: George brought in Eric Clapton to play lead guitar on While My Guitar Gently Weeps). The simple "togetherness" of the album name was an illusion by that point.
  9. I had the 2004 version of Helter Skelter on in the background via youtube last night. Jeremy Davies' voice sounded too much like Dickie Bennett of Justified to me.
  10. FWIW, the album title was simply and officially "The Beatles." You can see it embossed in the lower right corner of the album cover. Michaela McManus seems like a perfectly fine actress, but geez, were there honestly no acceptable 40something actresses available to play against 54-year-old Duchovny and 48-year-old O'Byrne? Apparently, Maggie Gyllenhaal wasn't kidding when she recently reported this.
  11. Glad to see Kyle having a meatier guest-star role than I've seen him in for a while. He did not disappoint. Now if Andre Braughter could just get him a gig on Brooklyn Nine-Nine! Now that I've stopped LOLing, you have my condolences.
  12. . I was psyched to see this credit on Kyle's IMDb page. I hope he has more screen time than his paltry recent appearance on Backstrom. Why isn't this gorgeous and talented man starring in his own series??? And I had to look up "dingus" so thanks for that!
  13. Strong review in yesterday's NY Times: I will give it a try.
  14. Tracy will appear on The Today Show on Monday, June 1.
  15. Caught part of a SatC episode on Italian TV while on vacation recently, a scene with Carrie and Samantha from Carrie's short-hair period in Season 5. The Italian voice actors for C and S sounded different, obviously from SJP and KC, but suited the characters just fine. It's just a hoot hearing Italian come out of their mouths!
  16. Garrett Dillahunt recently guest-starred in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Det. Dave Majors, a super-competent detective who was interested in Jake's (Andy Samburg's) crush, Det. Amy Santiago. He was looking mighty fine!
  17. Tracey Morgan has settled his lawsuit with Walmart. According to People, Tracy is continuing to make "slow but steady progress in his recovery from a traumatic brain injury that resulted from a tragic multi-vehicle crash last June."
  18. On occasion, they don't work properly -- they're tangled up and won't reach, or they won't pull out of the socket, etc. From now on, if that happens to me, I'm telling the cabbie to pull over and stop the meter until I can strap in securely or I'll wait for another cab. ::shudder::
  19. Ah, it's Fox's turn to air the program, so they needed a Fox star to host. Good choice!
  20. I think Ray Romano and Men of a Certain Age deserve some credit for Andre's blossoming into comedy. MoaCA was a dramedy, but Andre got to flex some comedic muscles there and did it very well.
  21. My parents are 86 and 82, the same ages as John and Alicia Nash. It's not time for their exit by the hand of a reckless cab driver, any more than it was time, IMO, for the Nashes. 'Course, it might have helped if they'd been wearing seat belts.
  22. I don't think Hillary is humorless. She's done pretty well on Letterman and SNL. But, yeah, Obama really excels at this.
  23. I rewatched the 2nd episode on a long flight this past weekend. It was the only episode available. Wow, that was so well done, with the hallucinations (Olive's head turning into an elephant) and the flashbacks (always love Rosemarie DeWitt). Cory Michael Smith was excellent as Kevin. Olive's behavior at her son's wedding was cringe-worthy yet somehow admirable as well. Seeing this made me want to rewatch the entire mini-series. I hope it's still available On Demand.
