  1. I think there are some shenanagins going on there, I've seen episodes where the brides are raving about something, the food in particular, we've seen the food hot and steaming from the steam table, then after the wedding is over they give low scores because the food was cold. I think some weddings are actually pretty good and the brides have to come up with a reason to mark it down.
  2. Not being able to eat the food was confounding, indeed, but what about the bride who could not go into other brides' churches? Why would you sign up when you have to watch the weddings on a small TV screen in the car???
  3. So how come we don't get another new episode until November 7?
  4. Wasn't the stripper one of his patients? If so, What was Sam's baseball jersey number?
  5. I'm a huge SNL fan, so the SNL people coming on regularly does not bother me, I love it. Even Seth's writers have made fun of the fact that SNL gets mentioned a lot (Seth's Affirmations, hilarious).
  6. To me, Che has a personality (or one burgeoning) but Jost is just....blank. I've seen early Seth-Amy WU's where Seth was a little bland, but he stepped it up big time. Who can tell I'm a huge Seth fan?
  7. Re: the noseblind Febreeze commercials: I kind of get all the other smells represented, but the one about the cat smell on the couch irks me. Indoor cats do NOT smell bad. They smell clean. That is all.
  8. I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand Mindy and Danny on The Mindy Project. I like Minday Kaling a bunch, and the show only works on occasion for me, but I hate that these two are together. I don't think Chris Messina is making Danny as likable as fans think he is. I don't think they have any chemistry together whatsoever, no matter how cute their dialogue is.
  9. Never saw the movie, but the poster for This Means War makes me swoon. Just wish Reese Witherspoon wasn't in it.
  10. I find the early episodes amusing, but five Emmys in a row is too many. The worship needs to stop, their heyday is over.
  11. Yeah--I'd been looking forward to the episode ever since I heard he was going to host, and I know a lot of people here were as well! I'm even staying up to watch at night even though I am now in the 21st century and have DVR!
  12. I don't understand decorating something that's already beautiful as well. Churches don't need a lot of crap put in them to look attractive. Lots of decorations in a church usually look really tacky to me. Also lovely outdoor venues, when the brides say "it's just so plain." If it's a garden or a location with a grand oak tree, don't put tulle and junk all over it.
  13. I don't think it was critics, it was actual ratings.
  14. It seems all the recent anchors wore the same outfit on every show, I liked the continuity.
  15. I guess that one was hard! He's an international lawyer, but he does have his own plane! Next question! Anyone?
  16. I feel Che can grow into a good anchor, and he would have been good with Cecily. Jost is a lost cause.
  17. I think the show would have felt more complete with the Coal Miner sketch. Now I wish it had been included. Count me in as one who is irritated by Kristen Wiig. My husband loves her, and even he said she didn't need to be there. As soon she came out in the monologue I cringed. Yes, they have a movie together, but this was advertised as Bill Hader hosting--did he feel he couldn't do it alone--or was it Lorne? I was even more irritated when she kept popping up throughout the show. Now I strongly feel that she does hog the spotlight--and it's not just because Lorne likes her. I agree that Kate seemed genuinely bugged by her in the Celebrity Game Night sketch. The rest of the show was okay, I still love Beck and Kyle's stuff--I laughed all the way through it. WU is just a lost cause at this point, because no one is going to give up on Jost. It used to be my favorite part of the show. Even Stefon really seemed to be missing something without Seth.
  18. What is worse about The Family Stone is that it's a movie about horrible, awful people that masquerades as a movie about loving, wonderful, understanding people. I know this sounds heinous, but I was glad that Diane Keaton's character bit the dust.
  19. I like the Californians too! However, it may be mainly due to Fred's reading of "What are you doing here?" and the crack ups that ensue.
  20. Kini's red dress, I loved it. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The trench looked fab too, how did he do it in two days? I kind of hated Sean's white dress, it came across as bedsheet to me. Amanda's maxidress looked like one of those huge parachutes you play with when you're in a gym class as a kid. I knew Emily was a gonner. Liked Char's combo of the magenta and the black and white, but I'm a sucker for black and white clothes with a little color. Bring on the Korina drama for the reunion!
  21. I notice in the older episodes that Nolan Gould has a strange way of speaking, meaning his mouth seems to struggle getting the words out, but this didn't seem to matter since he was supposedly young and cute, but now his voice has changed it just makes it even more pronounced.
  22. Have you seen him in Go? He plays the sexiest drug dealer I've ever seen.
  23. Wow, that was awful. I only started watching this show a few months ago after wondering what everyone at work was talking about, and it seems I waited too long. What a mess this episode was, the situations are absurd, the characters are getting ridiculous, and none of the kids can act, as far as I'm concerned (maybe Manny, but now he looks like he's twenty!)
  24. Yay! Crowded House fans! Together Alone gets to me. Great song.
