  1. I think he's talented, no doubt, just overexposed. How can we miss you if you don't go away? I think some celebs need some breathing room so we like the next thing they're in. NPH is on Broadway, on TV, hosting stuff, wrote a book, guests on talk shows, it's just too much in our faces right now.
  2. Jamie keeps bringing up her parents a) because it's a storyline of the show and b) because she needs to lord it over fricking everyone for the rest of your life. Jamie, it happens--your mom is crazy and your dad is gone, get over it. I also find that I am mesmerized by the amount of makeup Jamie and Courtney wear, how can makeup get THAT matte? Is it drag queen makeup?
  3. Can I only hope that Kate steals every scene she and Kristen are in?
  4. I don't know if this is unpopular, but I am officially "over" Neil Patrick Harris. And I still have to sit through the Oscar show this year!
  5. God, I hope not, and I'm a cat lover! I think part of what people loved about Cats were the costumes and the makeup.

    Her (2013)

Lars was a lovely little movie, but its premise is misleading to people who haven't seen it. And Gosling was fantastic in it. I think it's easier accept Lars and the Real Girl than it would be for Her, when we saw Her the couple behind us walked out midway through.
  7. Agreed! I hate that bitch! She ducks out on the first pedi leaving the poor manicurist without her $20. Why do we have to keep showing people behaving badly on TV and then pass it off as "getting a good deal because she's smart!"
  8. I liked this episode even more than the last one, the series is unfolding to be more than what I thought it would be. I am loving Brett and Alex together, and anything Michelle does is certainly surprising. I look forward to seeing what happens next, sorry it will be in two weeks instead of next week.
  9. I think he only wears sweatpants when he's hanging around the house, like in the most recent Thanksgiving episode where he was talking to the turkey baster. Anyway, I think this is my favorite episode so far. The voice acting is just as superb as it gets, everyone was at the top of their game. Liked that Louise did not clip the beans, and loved the gag where the garden fell out of the window.
  10. I DVR'd this and was interested in it as a "sociology lite" show, which I love. Of course, her experiment is all kinds of wrong. She looked more pregnant than overweight, and I understand that's the easiest kind of weight to get rid of, belly weight, she didn't seem overweight in any other areas! And of course, she will just start running again and use the trainer to help her eat small, healthy meals, because she already knows how to employ that method. There are so many varied factors as to why it's difficult to lose weight, busy schedules, food addiction, stress eating, depression, economic factors, the list goes on and on. Obviously she doesn't seem to have any of those issues. Let her deal with any number of hindrances, and we have a show.
  11. Color me shocked but I liked Helen's outfits. The challenge was to make separate you could wear with other things as well as together. Someone could easily wear her red skirt with another top or that cute top with skinny black pants. I HATED Michelle's. HATED. It was too much of an ugly print. If you're going to go full print, it needs to be small. Plus, once a woman has worn the whole outfit, it makes less sense to wear the bottom with something or the top with something, you've seen the print before, it would be too repetitive. It had no versatility. And Fabio, ugh. I think they are waiting to give him the "redemption win." So, so, so ugly. I had a sundress in the 80's with those baby colors and frankly, I never wore it. Droopy sackdress is not design.
  12. Totally agree on The Muppet Movie, wonderful soundtrack. I can't name a song I don't like.
  13. If you watch the online version of the Calvin Klein ads, there is one more ad.
  14. This is only my second episode of Girls ever but I think I'm in! I love Elijah, he really does need to be in every episode.
  15. I love Nina. Unfortunately, I feel the need to speak like her for at least another half hour after the show is over. I laughed out loud when the boyfriend turned out to be Justin Long. Gretchen Corbett! I haven't seen her since 1983!
  16. I totally agree on the fire academy baloney, it is finite, six months, right? That goes by QUICK in a marriage. They just have to hang in there. What's tough is a hard situation that you don't know when it will end.
  17. So Alyssa mentions that Dmitri NEEDS a win last week, then Zanna harps on him that he NEEDS a win this week, then....Dimitri wins! Way to keep the suspense, PR! Helen's was so blah, as usual. She only designs in beige and cream when it's not blood red. She needs some makeup, she makes me tired just looking at her! Sonja's was gorgeous, loved it. When Justin's first came out I thought I loved it, but on closer inspection it was kind of messed up. Not sure he deserved to go home over Fabio, I hated the pink. This show has gotten so boring! There's hardly anything going on between the ridiculous opening segments and the plugs for Mary Kay and Chi Hair Care.
  18. Absolutely. I cried out loud, "No one is effing going home?" and went to bed.
  19. No Ralph Fiennes for Grand Budapest Hotel? I know it was a tough year, it seems Carrell's nomination could have also gone to Gyllenhaal or Fiennes.
  20. I asked my husband who he thought was worse, Colin Quinn or Jost/Che. He instantly blurted out "Colin Quinn!" Yes, he really was horrible. Thank God for Tina and Jimmy.
  21. Because female country stars wear a lot of makeup, and people who listen to country music are more American than everyone else. Of course.
  22. When I watched the reunion, I noted how many times Jamie said "Meeeeeeee." That does not bode well for having babies, honey.
  23. Wow, I'm gobsmacked, but I think I'm back on board. I liked Kathy, she was funny without going on and on about cooches like Joan used to, Joan would waste so much time being doubled over with laughter over her own gross jokes. I liked that Kelly and Giuliana's amazeballs opinions got dialed down, and I thought Brad actually had some good moments talking about fashion.
