  1. I got about ten minutes in and was like, “Nope.” The first one was such a sensation they should have left it there. This one looked so drab and dull and it was already like a sitcom reboot.
  2. I can’t believe it, but I’ve turned the corner on Plane, I like her now. She or Q should have won, Ru is just telegraphing Saphira’s win at this point. Plane and Q were perfect in the challenge. I wanted to sit in on that presentation as an office employee.
  3. How is Seth getting even funnier in ACL? I’m laughing myself silly, and I had a cat on lap last night so that was no easy feat.
  4. I had only seen Sydney Sweeney in White Lotus playing a surly teen, and she still comes off as a surly teen. Not impressed at all. I’d read people calling her a star when discussing Madame web, even more than Dakota Johnson. That’s a laugh. very weak episode, even PDND was not good. I did enjoy Airbnb, Chloe made it good, I hope she becomes an SNL star.
  5. I completely agree. I thought the dialogue was actually bad. I keep seeing people saying that the movie moved them, and made them cry, but it didn’t make me feel anything.
  6. I’d only seen Shane on TikTok, where his Trump was much better, but I don’t think he would have been a good cast member. He doesn’t annunciate each word(much like Molly). I also watched his special, after he was announced as host, and well, he’s no Mulaney, who I think is very smart and has sparkling wit.
  7. Again, I know why they can’t have too many filmed pieces but Horny Little Dork was great. Some of the other writing was off, and Dakota was hesitating a bit, but damn, she is a stunning woman. In addition to her video of her with her dad, I’d hoped they would show this one. She is hiding in the back.
  8. Nate’s episode had some good moments but I will die on the hill that Ada, Driver is a genius SNL host.
  9. Weeks off and that’s what they come up with? I did love Short King and Alaska Airlines but that’s it. Please, don’t let Justin Timberlake ham it up and take over next week.
  10. My husband asked me what FML was, I had to search my brain, and I came up with it.
  11. It was mostly a mess for me. I would have preferred Paperless Post over Tampon Farm. ABBA was just a reason to be chaotic. I don’t get Kristen’s energy, she always seems shy or “off,” and I’m not understanding what she’s done to her eyebrows. I feel Billie is going to win another Oscar but is she always that breathy? It was annoying.
  12. I love pre-Christmas SNL episodes, especially with Adam Driver. He’s such a great host. This was lively and silly and I laughed at nearly every sketch. Beep Beep and Tiny Ass Bag were a crackup.
  13. I kept seeing reviews saying it was funny, but, uh, not at all funny? I ended up not liking it, even though Julianne Moore was spot on, so creepy. She really evoked Mary Kay Latourneau. And I’ve finally decided that I don’t care for Natalie Portman as an actress.
  14. The only other person who should be allowed to sing Pure Imagination is Jonathan Groff.
  15. I thought Timmy was great. I can’t believe how hard I laughed during the gym sketch. The Troye Sivan sketch will definitely get cut from any “classic SNL” shows in the future. I had heard Boygenius was brilliant, but, um, they were meh. The first song sounded very 90’s.
  16. Booger is my most hated word in the English, and I was also covering my eyes during that scene.
  17. His debate with Paul Ryan was a classic Sudeikis sketch.
  18. Kind of liked it better than last week. Age of Discovery was great. Pedro coming back was awesome, he really goes for it, he’ll be hosting again in no time. Was WU shorter? I feel like Colin was phoning it in, maybe he’s ready to bail. Next week is Nate Bargatze! We saw him perform live and he’s so funny!
  19. Ummm, not great. Loved the PDD, yes, they are white nepo babies but they are hilarious and I love them. I’ve only heard of Ice Spice just this year, in part due to Matty Healy, unfortunately, but doubt she’ll be around for awhile. Two super short songs and a bunch of posing? Naw.

    Fair Play (2023)

Did not care for it, there was a lot of “what the fuck?” And “what the fuck are you talking about?” and I thought that felt lazy.

    Reptile (2023)

I liked it, it reminded me of those crime movies from the 90’s. We got to know so much about the core group of detectives and it seemed like an actual, real town they were working in. I would watch a movie with Benicio and Alicia Silverstone just solving cases, lol. It did seem like the director told Timberlake to tone down that charm he likes to show off, so instead we got a flat, boring performance. I wish they had cast someone else in that role.
  22. The giant cowboy boots made me laugh every time.
  23. I love the previous cast and I will miss them. If anyone is a Bob fan, she has a standup special on YouTube, Woke Man in a Dress. It was so, so funny!
  24. Just watched, at first I thought it was going to be a snooze fest. But then it sucked me in. The music was beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rooney smile before, and I liked it!
