  1. The best thing about that sketch is neither Hader or Keenan, it's Jason's dancing!
  2. So, Seth Myers tweeted that Mike O'Brien wrote "Whites." I guess that means he can still be in something that he writes?
  3. I knew istantly that Geoffrey Holder was the 7 Up guy. Iconic 70's commercial!
  4. I'd like to know who wrote it, unless that person got permission to redo the sketch, then that's reaaallllly bad. That makes Lorne look bad, as well.
  5. I have actually left a wedding early, the friends that I came with and I were all hungry because there wasn't much food, and we had to go to Taco Bell.
  6. You may not go to a wedding for food, but when you get there, and there is either NO food or inappropriate (meaning, not enough or just snacks) food, it makes a difference. I've remembered every wedding where I went home hungry and when I've had a nice full tummy.
  7. Oh, by the way, was anyone cringing when they saw the cat? I am a huge animal person, and a cat didn't fare so well in Girl with The Dragon Tattoo--I was hoping Amy wouldn't go psycho on the cat!
  8. I really like that Someone Like You sketch too, mostly because Coldplay is in it!
  9. Pilots don't have to be bad, I get that perhaps a character needs to go, or a set needs to be changed. I'm disappointed because Mulaney is a very funny guy, perhaps a sitcom is not his forte. I admit, I only caught the last ten minutes, but what I saw was awful. Yes, forced is a great word, and my presumption on Martin Short was correct. And I didn't get why Elliot Gould was there. To think there are talented writers who would like to be in TV who could have done a thousand times better than this.
  10. I only could watch about five minutes of Mulaney, but I think Nasim made a HUGE mistake! Perhaps her SNL salary was just way too low for her to continue.
  11. Vow renewals also boil my blood. I can't watch Say Yes to the Dress any more because they're filled with older brides having a freaking vow renewal. I feel it's just a way to get to have another party and wear another pretty dress!
  12. I purposely didn't come to this thread because I didn't want to be spoiled, and I'm usually the type of person who will read the ending of a book I'm reading mid way through the book. I liked it, didn't love it (I had expected to). My theater was packed--time for grown up films, y'all! Some guy next to my husband even started chatting to us like we were waiting for a concert or something! I am a Fincher fan, so I expected the cool and collected vibe, but I do wonder what it would have been like from a "messier" director? I thought Affleck was good, I alternately felt sorry him, then hated him, then started not trusting him again. Rosemund Pike bothered me. The Amy character was too perfect, too witty--sex in a library, really? Was that the point? I didn't finish the book, so I wasn't sure if I was missing the point. And I also missed Affleck Dong, dammit.
  13. I didn't care for this episode at all. A few funny moments, but not enough to compensate for the rest of the show. Some of it was miserable. The Joan Rivers sketch was awful, I thought Sarah was not good in it (flubbed lines really start messing with the entirety of the sketch), and the timing was off. I laughed at WU (Collin and Michael talking to each other--how novel!), the cheating sketch and Kyle and Beck's bit (why is kicking a dummy always funny?) Vitamix hit home, my husband also asked me why someone would buy a blender that expensive, I wasn't quite sure (I have a Ninja for $119). Nice to see Mike O'Brien in the White People short (is he back, is he gone?) The River Boat sketch was just terrible, I think hiring Sasheer was a mistake, Lorne may have needed a women of color but he chose someone whose delivery is poor and all of her characters sound the same--all of them. I tend to like Sarah, her standup is so filthy and biting that I can't help but appreciate it, but somehow she doesn't ever work for me in any other forum. Even the filmed bits she does for her standup specials don't work, and I'm glad I never saw The Sarah Silverman Program. I know Bill Hader's episode next week will be better, even if it's just for the fact that it's Bill Hader, love him!
  14. Little ceremonies like the sand ceremony and the chocolate thing (I DO think they made that up!) strike me as oh so precious, and especially if it's a zillion degrees outside, your guests can only think "Get to the I dos!" No way Surprise Bride was 28, there's no way. If she was, her makeup did no favors for her.
  15. I think I should watch this just for how bad it will be. Mulaney is so funny, he was on both Late Night and The Tonight Show and was awesome, so why couldn't he do a better sitcom? And why do we need Martin Short? He's always so over the top, it's clear his character will be way more interesting and get more funny stuff to do than anyone else in the cast?
  16. Hester, played by Nancy Marchand. What does Sam's perfect brother Derek do for a living?
  17. ET still gets me going, every dang time. Mostly due to John Williams' incredible score, it just hits all the right emotions.
  18. What's funny is, we all know that if Korina had been eliminated earlier and then saved by Tim, her attitude would be completely different. "I deserve to be here!" Go take a long walk off a short pier, Korina. Buh Bye.
  19. Taylor Swift completely irritates me because I don't feel she's growing as an artist--correct me if I'm wrong, but all her songs seem to be about her exes and now about her haters. OK, "Shake it Off" is catchy, but it's shallow. She's going to have to start writing more meaningful stuff or her followers will go follow someone else.
  20. I hope this wasn't too difficult! It's kleptomania. Next question, anyone?
  21. I hate to admit it but Jizz in My Pants is my favorite Lonely Island short. Like a Boss also makes me laugh every time.
  22. You should only score below a five if, like, you didn't get FOOD TO EAT! I still remember the bride (very young girl) who gave another a 2 because she and her husband were giggling through the ceremony.
  23. Othello. When Andy Andy returned (in Diane's Nightmare), what affilication was he counseling Fraiser for?
  24. Granola may be organic, but it's very fattening. That's all I could think of while watching that commercial.
  25. I like the Delta and, and I like the cute bag, but perhaps it's just because I flew Delta for the first time and my luggage didn't get lost. One for one!
