  1. The exposition driving at night in the rain scenes are getting stale now, even tho Jensen does do a realistic job of eyes on the road. These scenes should be given over to the Js (especially Jensen) to set up and film with Jensen actually driving the car along a BC back road (classic rock blaring). Then at least there'd be something to look forward to in each episode. And it would give the boys something to do instead of hanging about in their trailers while Dabb dreams up another super hero fight in the sky. I wonder if AU Michael drives Baby?
  2. Where is the dress? It could be a pretty sparkly large wall hanging until the wedding day. The Moroccan family home is quite roomy and nice, they don't seem particularly poor. Wish we got more of an insight into Nichole's adjustment to life in Morocco. Instead we just get filmed arguments in cafes. In fact, that's all this season's episodes are mostly comprised of. The producer tells them where to sit, sets up the cameras and says 'now argue about something'. But Nicole seems genuinely oblivious to Azan's dislike of her. He can hardly bear to look at her and she looks at him like she wants to devour him. Also, I thought Morocco was a hot country, but they're dressed for winter with sweaters, etc. I agree regarding Annie's constant digs about Americans. I felt sorry for her at first, but now I think her and David deserve each other. Looks like they're headed for the homeless shelter when rent comes due. The two of them should head back to Thailand and get jobs at the ping pong bar. Yuck!
  3. I do feel for these children. They don't stand a chance and will just become repeats of their parents. It's sad. It's fascinating to me when JJ interrogates litigants. I don't know if she gets prior information of if it's her 'spidey' senses after so many years in family court. They often seem uncomfortable because her questions have nothing to do with the case at hand and she's hijacking their pat stories. Although I think she's often unfair and doesn't allow things to be explained, her ability to see through people is a skill honed over the years. It's fun to watch. I wish more judges were like her.
  4. I couldn't listen anymore and had to change the channel. It was like she had the worst sore throat ever.
  5. I wonder if Jensen is going to be dressed in 1940s style for a few episodes. I wonder if there'll be the usual Dad to Dean video or if he'll be kept under wraps so not to spoil the surprise. They start filming soon.
  6. I think we're very fortunate in terms of actors - although Jensen wins hands down and has given many many Emmy-worthy performances. It's the damn writing!! The damn editing (lately). And the damn showrunner we've got now! Jared can't reach the emotional depths that Jensen can, but I don't care about that. He portrays a very different brother. So I'm cool. I guess my UO is that the series has gone on for too damn long and 14 should wind things up. Too much Heaven & Hell for too many seasons. Ok for a big budget movie, but not ok for a low budget CW enterprise where episodes are shot in 8 days. We got a bargain basement torch lit "Hell" (or whatever that room with the tiny throne was supposed to be) and a few miscellaneous demons mingling about, and Heaven is apparently LED lit - with electrical issues and filing cabinets!! And, for some odd reason, both angels and demons wear North American business suits and are indistinguishable from one other. Angels and demons - what's the difference? And who cares about any of them and their problems? They never bothered to make us care. And everyone has pretty much died to the point I just file my nails when another regular keels over. In fact, whenever I see any of the regular characters getting in trouble my reaction is not what it was years ago (edge of sofa). Now I don't get worried about what will happen next but rather I just know that whatever mess they get into won't even be an issue next episode, probably not even mentioned again. The fact that they've used this technique so much has taken away any suspenders for me. Long story short - it's past its sell-by date. The acting (Ackting LOL) can't carry the load any more. A supernatural themed series could take us anywhere in horror, but TPTB are afraid to get off that well trodden safe path they've followed for so long. Season 14 should be it! The thrill is gone (IMO). It's an iconic respected show that will be in syndication 25 yrs from now. And Baby should be in the Smithsonian and not Jensen's garage (now there's an UO for you!!).
  7. I really enjoyed that D List Star season. It was way more entertaining than I expected. I'm fed up with this Techy format already and no one is interesting. I think I'll check back half way through the season and see if things have improved.
  8. Not being a big fan of heaven or hell, I'd prefer the brothers die while saving people, hunting things... you know, the family business. They'd die together of course. But that doesn't mean their deaths would stick.... and they'd be resurrected for Supernatural: The Movie, directed by Quentin Tarantino. ;)
  9. I don't mind Rich and Rob MC-ing - they are at least entertaining. Andrew, Bob and the Nep Duo will just waffle on importantly about nothing like last time. Alex will just mention pranks again. J2 and Misha are the main draw and the reason people lined up all night for Hall H. The round table conversations that happen afterwards are way more informative about the show and the actors' input IMO.
  10. It was over the top in that restaurant. If it were a real thing - they'd all be asked to leave surely. This NYC Housewife version used to be the most fun. Now it's just annoying - and fake.
  11. I agree totally. It's nepotism at its finest. This show needs to go back to learning nuance and subtlety, but it never will with writers like this. Its all in your face shock and awe and no reason why. Puddle deep emotions. I could go on but I'm in the wrong thread. Sigh.
  12. I could only watch bits. Is it going to be all this 'techy' special effects all the time? It's SO annoying
  13. Are the skin tight dresses, giant giraffe eyelashes, Sharpie marker black eyebrow pencils, cheap red hair extensions, weird wigged-out lawyers and super sized 'pretty' wedding dresses all provided by Production for comic relief?
  14. No, I don't want anyone to insult anyone. That's not what we fans are about. And, TBH, the majority of fans seem fine with how things are going on the show judging by tweets, etc. It's just that - - it just seems not enough care is taken that what we see on screen makes sense anymore. It's like they're making it up as they go along. I'm also wondering if the new 20 episode format might lead to a 10 episode SL, hiatus, and another different 10 episode SL. 23 episodes is a long time to drag out a SL, especially when it's not making sense. Anyhoo.... it's great that SDCC is recorded for us. It's usually fun. Tell us all about it.
  15. I realize it's supposed to be entertainment and evil characters like Juan are 'set ups' to add drama. But they don't even need that kind of thing. The basic issues with these couples are enormous. For a start, I don't see love or affection or respect or understanding or any effort for compromise between any of them. If the foundations needed for a relationship to work are missing at the beginning - then how can it ever work out long term? I think it was last season where a least there was some semblance of love between a few of the couples. But this lot - they're just awful people. I wouldn't want to have a coffee with any of them or their interfering families and friends.
  16. Wish they allowed more questions from the audience - because Andrew is right there! Is anyone from these boards planning on going?
  17. The writing teams are back at work as we speak. Wonder how long Jensen will get to be AU Michael?
  18. He's got a good sense of humour. I remember one enabler defending herself saying ....'he gets mad if I don't get him the food he wants" To which Dr. Now replied "What can he do? He can't get out of bed and hit you".
  19. I don't watch all episodes - but I'm always surprised that so many people pay for stuff in cash. I don't even carry cash anymore. They show a bank statement that money was withdrawn but that doesn't mean anything.
  20. This is where the writing falls down every time. This show has a rich history of events they could tap into at any time (huge opportunity missed in terms of the AU SL). So much has happened. But our writers write in isolation, divorced from whatever has gone before. Seasons are mostly islands. If they tapped into what has gone before - the writing could actually flow more and they'd be less likely to trample on established canon. Audiences love a connection to a past event/ character. It brings us in deeper ... o yeah I remember that. But I doubt any one them have watched or remember earlier seasons. I mean, they had Dean - who'd spent 40 years in hell - skipping down those hell steps. It was only Jensen who remembered. But good storytelling be damned. We're dealing with a money making machine here. J2+M are aging. Yes, the fans still scream.... but the CW figured they needed a teen - a male teen. A male teen who's cute and conflicted and supernatural. Enter Jack. Now I guess they can sit back and expect ratings to rise. But Sam would have got a SL out of it. He's #1 on call sheet. It would've been hissy fits galore. The Amy/Emma storyline is pretty much the same thing - kind of. Amy was a childhood friend (for a couple of weeks), whereas Emma was made up of 50% Dean Winchester. Actual flesh and blood daughter. Amy was killing. Emma not yet. Dean's MO isn't stomping off in a huff . No, he sucks it up and carries on (has a few more beers). His daughter died in front of him, killed by his brother. She could have been redeemed (Ornery Dean DNA flowing through her veins). A big deal surely? But, no. It's forgotten the second the end-titles roll. In fact, Dean has no time to mourn, he gets a truckload of guilt dumped on him in the very next episode( the awful Defending Your Life).
  21. Lighting a cigarette in the bar seemed extremely odd. Smokers have had to go outside for their addiction for ages now. And the streets of Toronto seemed so empty. I live just north of the City - it's a busy place all the time. Plus the crowds of protesters surely would have been way bigger - into the hundreds of thousands. They could have borrowed the footage of crowds from somewhere surely? I'm really not quite understanding the Gilead/Canada thing. The longest border in the world, and most of it unguarded.
  22. How did Nichole pack that giant wedding dress with corset for travel? And it looks like she's gained even more weight since last time Azan saw her. Are the few dollars Nichole sends worth it? I've never got the impression he wants to come to these shores, get a green card and work. He is paying dearly for a few $$$ each month.
  23. I only saw the first hour of this episode (had to switch over to Handmaid's Tale). For the first time Pao's hair extensions were really obvious. It seems she hardly has any of her own hair - which is shorter and comes to the shoulders. She'll be in a wig soon - that amount of extensions is a weight on hair follicles and the hair stops growing. How was Azan's voice recording available to everyone? The meet up with Anfisa and the friend with a joint on his ear was so obviously set up. They ate and drank nothing. I wish Production would try harder to make us believe this is real dramatic stuff we're watching (although Nicole is real, but being used just like Dr. Now's 600 pounders who must shower in front of cameras)
  24. I love that we're presented with such conflicting characters. We don't know if or when they'll step off the path or what they'll do next. So much of American TV today is predictable with puddle deep, one dimensional characters. I cannot be bothered to watch most of the stuff on TV nowadays. Not with this show. Serena and Aunt Lydia for instance. We never see anything like them anywhere else on our screens. Serena is conflicted, I keep thinking redemption but then she tosses the matches into the fire with a stiff upper lip of resolve. And Aunt Lydia, who tears up at the mention of babies but probably wouldn't think twice about poking them with her electric prod if they misbehaved. The acting is perfection. Why is it so dark for the Canadian interior scenes? One lamp turned on in the room? Are utilities at a premium in this world or are they trying to set an atmosphere? And why were a bunch of letters a wake up call for Canada? Surely there are Gilead refugee stories all over the internet and TV? I haven't read any posts yet, but I guess most have commented on Nick's visit to June. That's a creaky house. Why are they not even bothered to be careful? I guess it's for audience suspense.
