  1. I agree with whoever said they could have kept her as a super computer nerd able to hack into any system. That would've worked - although it's a very tired trope that's on almost every other TV show. The insta-hunter vibe was annoying but personally I couldn't stand the over the top hyper perkiness. If I ever met someone like Charlie in real life I'd probably have to kill her.
  2. It's so pleasant and fun to be a fan of Jensen's. He's super talented and an all round nice classy guy. I don't have to worry about him appearing on the front pages of The Enquirer or nasty divorce settlements. I've never been a fan of anyone before, never in my entire life. So I hit the jackpot first time. I will always follow Jensen's career. And the Ackles family are being so generous with sharing photos lately. Love them.
  3. The Orange County girls are losing me. It's hard to stay interested and I kept changing channels. I watch the New York version which is fun. I think I'm done with Orange County - are there any other HWs in the franchise that I should watch?
  4. We cannot do anything about our height. But he could shave that awful thick beard. Even if he brushed his teeth with a dry toothbrush (which I guess the camera crew supplied - surely he doesn't carry one about with him?) bits of barf could still be stuck in that beard. And they kissed and kissed. Ugh! I'm wondering why the trials & tribulations of Fannypack Ricky are being followed? Production surely knows she's not real - they'd check things out wouldn't they? She can't be real. I don't want to know spoilers, so I'm kinda curious how it's going to turn out. Does Ricky finally slink back to the hotel? Or does someone arrive to meet him?
  5. I'm wondering if they said that because Jensen is holding the last sheets on the roll and looking concerned. LOL But I did think of The End too. Supernatural fans are everywhere. Every once in a while I see the t-shirt on someone and wonder if I should strike up a conversation.
  6. I'm in Canada. The Canadian channel ran at least 45 minutes of commercials during this 2 hour show. Really annoying! This can't be an expensive programme to air surely??
  7. "all-woman demon-wrecking crew". Translation: a group of Mary Sues ludicrously empowered and lacking in any realism to be interesting. They will probably save Dean and he'll have to thank them over and over again. I'm still clinging to the Dean/Michael SL. It's all I got left folks.
  8. I guess this was before Jensen discovered the more accommodating underwear he showed to Misha. Really weird question from the fan, tho?
  9. Thing is - Dabb glorifies hunting too much and in the end he cheapens it. In the beginning we witnessed the toll it takes - it's a gritty dangerous lonely life. We see Sam and Dean suffer and what they lost. But as the years passed and new show runners came along.. 'hunting' became exciting and thrilling and not really dangerous at all. Everyone and their giddy aunt wanted to become a hunter. Teens, nerds, lady sheriffs, mommy dearest, etc etc were overnight sensations and often more accomplished hunters than the originals of the show - namely Sam and Dean. This is where Dab lost his way. The first spin off had an uninteresting kid who wanted to be a hunter. WW was about a bunch of brash annoying teens wanting to be hunters. Kripke showed us the horrors of the life. It wasn't fun. It was lonely and hard. Dean warned people off. And it wasn't something learned overnight. Dabb just wanted to throw a bunch of pretty hunters at the screen without bothering with substance. Neither spin off had legs imo. Dabb ignores the bread and butter of the show he runs.
  10. Don't forget there's a camera crew flying with her. I'm sure they took turns holding and playing with the baby. She's a cute baby.
  11. I think "self-loathing" is a bit over the top. Since he was 4 years old it's been drilled into Dean than he's number 2. Sam is number 1 and must be protected at all costs. That would screw with anyone's psyche and self worth. Some great posts, guys... especially from @BabySpinach who seems to grasp the same Dean Winchester as I, but way better able to articulate this complex man.
  12. I don't know how some of the stories on this season can possibly last, they are so flimsy. Ricky, for instance. It's obvious she's not real and won't show. And thank goodness a camera crew will follow Angela in the State of Nigeria (!) as she could be in real danger. Same thing with the mother going to England. Hope the cameras keep tabs on her - he looks like a caveman. Considering they all seem social media savvy - why don't they do any research? I would imagine Production does and already know what Melissa really looks like. Are people really willing to appear this stupid on TV? The money must be real good.
  13. The video Danneel took in the car with Jensen driving is odd. It's like it's a British car with steering wheel on the right? Or is it just me?.
  14. I think this ^ is what many of us are clinging onto. I agree with much of @Hana Chan's post. Stories are rinse and repeat. Dean does make rash decisions. It's kind of his MO and one that I hope doesn't change. Dean runs on instinct and gut not research. His never moving on from 'I'm 90% crap' is another built-in trait. Dean's kind of 50% I'm crap and 50% I'm the confident leader. He is prone to depression yes, but on the other hand he is a definite leader who has full confidence in his own ability to lead and to organize others to follow. Dean is a complex and fascinating man. I'd follow him into the depths... Sam, not so much. I just wish they'd get small again. When angels and demons were not just miscellaneous red shirts. When heaven and hell were scary unknowns and not run like corporations. When we didn't yawn 'oh he died again?' and went back to filing our nails. Those early seasons had magic. There is still magic but it's spread pretty thin nowadays. But Michael/Dean is something completely different. Dean has never not been Dean. Even Demon Dean was still Dean. Jensen gets a chance to flex his acting muscles before the show ends. So at least there's that. Most of us are not getting our hopes up too high that it will last or even be well written, but I'll be watching for Jensen's performance.
  15. They don't have the budget for heaven and hell stories. It all ends up cheap looking and no one really cares anyway. Angels and demons are just miscellaneous suits and indistinguishable from one other. The only interesting scene was Billie and Dean in the library of deaths. Now that was something. Someone had some imagination to design that set. But I care about Michael/Dean and am more excited than I've been about a new season since forever. It's going to be far from repetitive... We've never ever had Jensen portraying another character beside Dean. And he's going to rock it. So the thrill is back (for me)
  16. It's hot in Vancouver right now. I doubt Michael likes t-shirts and shorts and a baseball cap.
  17. They will need Dean back as Dean for the first MOTW episode of the season I guess? No way these writers are gifted enough to have Michael pretending he's Dean (they did the spell and all that..) and Sam being kinda suspicious. It could be entertaining and a field day for Jensen's acting talents. Is he cured? Is Michael out? The audience isn't spoon fed for once. But my money is on another purgatory Dean format. Bro hugs and flashbacks. I know, right?!! I'd go darkside in a second.
  18. It's really got me excited. I don't want to wish my summer away - but Holy Cow! I can't wait to see what he does with Michael. He's putting his heart and soul into it. Jensen gives 110% to everything he does. Mostly because he loves his craft and loves a challenge.
  19. I just watched the first two episodes On Demand last night. The acting and storytelling is great and I cannot wait to see more. My only criticism is that everything just falls into place for the psychopath assassin. A convenient drainpipe to climb. No one enters the toilet. Those kinds of things take me out of the story a bit. The two female leads are great so far. Hope the writing keeps up.
  20. I respect other's opinions of course. But they're too loud (or I'm following the wrong people) and they're including The Powers in their tweets. It's the group that wants the brothers joined at the hip all the time. They don't want just Dean back, they want Dean back hunting alongside Sam. Thing is - with some imaginative writing we could still have 'our' Dean in the Michael/Dean SL. We could witness the inner struggles going on between them, things like that. Both actors (Jensen & Christian if they can get him back) have charisma and presence. But I guess season 14 will be status quo all the way. Paint by number.... it's safe.
  21. It's so aggravating (to me) to see all those I WANT DEAN BACK tweets following this incredible photo. Hope The Powers aren't listening.
  22. Pao is auditioning for a role on one of those novellas. She overacts for the camera and Roos has no idea what he's done wrong this time.
  23. Not sure which thread to put this. But not much on TV and I cannot get into Big Brother this season, so I've been catching some earlier episodes for something to do. Anyway all kinds of things have happened since the brothers moved into that bunker. "Where's Sam" "Where's Cas" "There's blood on the floor, what happened" "Who are you and how did you get in" are words said over and over again as they enter. It got me wondering why Dean has never set up surveillance cameras. When Lady BMOL takes Sam - Dean hacks into the local traffic cam to get a licence plate which seems hugely hit and miss. Why not have cameras inside the bunker? The warding is obviously useless as everyone and their dog can stroll in. But at least cameras would warn the boys when they breeze in that something is up. And S&D could have the cameras synced to their phones and know immediately if there's a break in. Lots of times these Winchesters don't seem so smart and it's some pie in the sky writing that saves them. LOL.
  24. Humans are complex and a puzzle for sure and we can twist ourselves into knots trying to explain Mary's behaviour since being brought back by Amara. But the bottom line - for me - is haphazard thoughtless writing and an actress that displays a cold distant demeamour a little too well.
