  1. On the show "Intervention" the drug addicts looks like hell but on Dr. Phil they're super models. The young girl appeared pretty and healthy despite being an addict. A few months ago he featured a mother who had apparently been a drug addict most of her life and had done some terrible things to her family, yet on stage she looked pretty good for a woman in her fifties. Clear skin, nice hair, nice outfit, classy jewelry. I think Dr. Phil's makeup staff go too far in getting these people ready for the camera. We really don't see how they truly are. It's hard to get an impression when the makeup is perfect, the hair styled, nice suit and tie, nice dress and shoes. I'd rather the guests were put before camera the way they showed up at the studio that day. I've also wondered about the pre-filming of guests in their homes. Usually they're arguing or fighting or whatever to make the point of whatever the show issue is... but these homes are often presented as practically mansions. Cut flowers in vases, stainless steel and granite kitchens, etc. And there's the family all yelling at each other. It sometimes makes me wonder if they 'stage' a home for filming reasons. Either that or these unhappy people all have lovely residences.
  2. I just watched 'Jump the Shark'. The expressions on Dean's face when he learns John took Adam to a baseball game on his birthday are gut wrenching. And as he sneaks glances at those framed photos of his dad and the other son. It's bloody heartbreaking. The ability to tap into the emotions of your character is the foundation of great acting. And the ability to convey those emotions to your audiences is pure acting gold. Jensen literally becomes Dean when they yell Action!. He is Dean. He has lived Dean's life. If only more actors were as talented as Jensen, I'd watch more tv dramas. I just can't take the fake overblown acting on TV these days. I hope Jensen gets his Emmy one day.
  3. JJ already knows the outcome and her ruling before the case is started. So she guides them along with their stories and if and when they begin to deviate she cuts them off. Once in a while they do say something that seems important news to her and she stops to listen and does seem to change her mind. The most entertaining for me is her long winded attempts to know who she's dealing with. She asks personal questions that they're not expecting. I would think this is never done in regular small claims court as there is zero time and cases are rushed through, which is too bad. I've learned to always get it written into a contract - which helped me with my own small claims when I had stone steps installed at my home. ALWAYS get it in writing, get it signed (even with friends) and know your dates. Makes life so much simpler. Thanks Judge Judy.
  4. I’d really enjoy a NO IDOL season and seeing them dig up half the island empty handed. We know, but they don’t ? I also would like a change of beachy scenery and new country. Survivor needs a format shake up... it’s getting stale, although the torrential rain right at the beginning was a little different.
  5. I can’t read any more tweets, TPTB articles, etc. I have used up all my eye rolls...
  6. I thought meth kept you agitated and awake for days. That's not our sleepy Kreeny. I'm sure the majority of women here have been pregnant and remember that first trimester. You are exhausted all the time and raging hormones make you irritable. Then it all gets so much better. But they're not explaining the time line properly. How long has Pole been in Brazil? Why does Kreeny appear to be further along than 4-5 weeks? Has it entered Pole's mind the child might not be his and that's why Kreeny wants a divorce all of a sudden?
  7. Me too. I really don't care if she gets divorced or not. I just want the bunch of them to go on vacation somewhere and let the drunken crazy begin. Way more fun than them sitting at a table all yelling and flapping arms about at once. That scenario is getting dull.
  8. I like the idea of there being residues of Michael in Dean throughout the season, but we only see bits here and there. The series is set up as Arc/MOTW format so it's almost impossible for Dean to be full-on Michael for any length of time. Sam could still hunt and be soulless because it didn't make much difference, he was still Sam (kinda). But at the moment Dean is not Dean. They've admitted it's difficult to write this show without the bros together forever. And fans are clamouring on twitter (unless I follow the wrong crowd) for Sammy to 'cure' Dean. But if they keep Michael's presence in the background... Dean hasn't truly extinguished all of him, shards of Michael still remain. Maybe we are privy, other characters aren't. Something like that? I don't know if they're clever enough to write this angle, but I know Jensen is well able to portray it. This show does not have the budget for big Armageddon type events. I think Michael is captivated by Earth and its inhabitants and the tall, pretty body he's inherited. The torture scene was annoying for me. Please don't go there show!! I want wonderment. Our planet is waaaay more entertaining and challenging for Michael than boring ol' Heaven.
  9. True. They edit sound bites to stir up interest. Pole saying 'there won't be a wedding' was actually part of a different sentence. There are so many other examples. And the 'set up' arguments. The cameras are in place - the participants are encouraged to argue or come clean about something stupid. (Although I don't think the "Legend in his own mind" Jesse needs much prompting). Even Pole running awkwardly into that building. The cameras were set up on the street, I guess they couldn't get rid of the 3 fat ladies sitting outside. Then 'action!' and Pole comes into view with his extra large boots and awkward gait as he runs up steps - to what?... the news that Kareeny might be pregnant? Duh! What a surprise! Then Darcy with the suitcase - of course there's lifts at all train stations. And Jesse gets a free air ticket to NYC courtesy of TSC, but raging Big Ang cannot leave early because TSC won't pay for that. The woman is TV gold. So we're being seriously manipulated. And clever editing encourages us to tune in again next week. But I honestly don't think they have to with this particular bunch of crazies. Big Ang needs no prompting or editing. Her pupils literally dilated when she saw that cake. Sometimes the expression on Baby Lucy's face says it all. :-)
  10. Honestly, this show is funnier than any American sitcom. It''s comedy gold. Angie and the cake had me in tears of laughter. The bonk with the bag - I'll get a black eye... what black guy? Teeny tiny Darcy and her giant suitcase. The raccoon eyed friend at the wedding dress shop. I know we're being manipulated, but not all the time. You just can't write this stuff. But why was Pole racing to the clinic? I always cringe when he runs as it looks so painful for him. She wasn't miscarrying or anything. I'm completely lost in terms of timelines on this show. Jesse's fuzz grows out, Jon sports more gray hair, but baby Lucy looks the same. And I agree re Rachel and the icky picking at her eyes with her fingers. Production - please give this woman a tissue.
  11. I think they were dallying at first with Jack being partly dark, but the young actor is popular with the younger demographic so I'm pretty sure he'll be permanently woobified which is a shame because they keep missing out on opportunities for some meaty storylines. Right now I'm just in it for the Michael/Dean scenes and Jensen's performance. Nothing much else interests me as it's just plot driven drivel lately.
  12. I think we put a lot more thought into this show than the show runner and writers. Dabb just aims for the shock value not whether it makes sense for the story or the character. Jensen is keen on Peaky Blinders series and I get the impression he has input into wardrobe sometimes. But I have to agree it's not my favourite look on him. I preferred the 1944 in Time after Time.
  13. Oh I just know there’s going to be at least a few spine tingley moments. Jensen is going to rock Michael. ??
  14. But Jensen had said he was surprised at how long the Michael storyline will last. I was sort of hanging onto that.
  15. Me neither. Phil needs a complete shake up of formula or be put out to pasture. Surely ratings are dropping? No matter the issue... it's all really the same thing over and over again. The scenes of show participants walking along the street or leaning against a wall staring into space, etc. are ridiculous. Why do they do that?
  16. Watching this show often makes me feel sad to be a woman.
  17. Toronto Airport drop off is the same. You say your goodbyes in the car on the drive to the airport. You have time to take out luggage and that's that. Cars, buses, taxis all lining up ..it's chaos, there's no time for goodbye histrionics, cars have to keep moving. The camera crew must've watched her car for her
  18. There are zero comments at the end of that article. Wouldn't the news that Sam for some peculiar reason thinks Dean is dead start a fire with fans? I mean... look what happened last time Sam just assumed his brother was dead. All dogs in the vicinity had better watch out.
  19. I have all dvds except 12 and 13 so I’m ok. I rarely watch on Netflix anyway because they cut music and some scenes. We Canadians get a raw deal when it comes to Netflix. About a third of the offerings on US, but we pay same price. But thankfully the new season is on our Space channel. Otherwise I’d have to pay for the extra channel package and it’s not cheap.
  20. The blue dress she is wearing in the photo of her & Michael is nice. A shorter styled haircut and more natural blond colour instead of the peroxide. A good quality industrial strength bra. She desperately needs to quit smoking. Look what it's doing to her skin - she looks to be in her 60s. But on top of all this Ang needs some class. I don't know where she can buy that. Rachel comes from a hot State (I think) so probably had to purchase reasonably priced cold weather clothes for the trip. I grew up in the UK and believe me it's a damp cold in England with a chill that gets right into your bones. No wonder she's always wrapped up well. If you live there you get used to it. And the houses aren't particularly warm either. I've never seen a more surprising change in a show participant than our own cranky Kreeny. Everything about her is different this season. Where is the fresh pretty girl that laughed at Pole and his germ fetish? And how does he sleep with her in that cluttered dirty bedroom? Does he check for bedbugs and cockroaches? Ugh.
  21. I'm getting bored with this version of the Housewives. The fresh blood isn't doing it for me either. The drama seems even more manufactured now. The only REAL housewife is spitfire Kelly - she's not married so not actually a housewife - but when she goes off it's somehow genuine and not contrived for cameras, plus it's fun to watch. Some of the others, Vicki and Tamra for instance, are just nasty. I might try Below Deck?
  22. I was talking more about miscellaneous background red shirt angels and demons. What's the difference? There should be a difference. The empty heaven storyline has become ridiculous in my opinion. I guess I haven't followed too closely. Are the souls still in the veil? Why is heaven so empty - and why should we care? What about the white rooms with names on the door? I'm hoping heaven and hell scenes do not feature in season 14.
  23. I don't know that I like the character. It seems odd to me that angels possess earthly type aspirations. What is the difference between humans, angels and demons except for black eyes and wings and business suits? There should be differences surely? But I thought Danneel did a good job here. I've only ever seen her in ten inch hero and wasn't impressed at all by her in that film. But she held her own as Sister Jo I thought. Still, I don't want the character to stick around for long (and she probably won't with 3 kids at home). I don't even want Garth back. Don't like the actor or character. He's a werewolf now isn't he? I just feel so down in the dumps this hiatus. I hope we get some Michael promos soon to make me feel better.
