  1. More power to you if you can watch this while at the gym. I found that it took my complete attention. This is pretty thorough and it made me both think and feel especially the first episode. I started watching this last week when it first dropped and could only watch one episode at a time.
  2. Raising Arizona did not work for me, and I like most of the Cohen brothers output. I cannot get over the premise and am unable to find the actions of the protagonist to be endearing in any way. Big Trouble in Little China is a cheesy masterpiece.
  3. I agree. I don't see a need for Ellie to do a prolonged apology for this. Now if she had pledged the female equivalent of Kappa Alpha, then I would expect more. Nineteen year olds in 1999 knew that fraternity was full of racists or at least they did in the South.
  4. I prefer #5, I want the crispy outside and gooey inside. And who doesn't love setting it on fire and quickly blowing it out??
  5. That's an interesting choice of words from Sophie's mom. I know the show is going in the Kevin-Sophie HEA direction, but I fail to see how that ending does not have one or both of them settling.
  6. I prefer to call it a caftan. I bought one last year and love it. It is the easiest thing to throw on and look presentable and relaxed. No one needs to know if I'm wearing anything underneath nor when I last showered. Just as comfy as sweatpants.
  7. It must have been the same MUA who made Candy's face ashy. I get she was a ghost, but her face and body were two different colors.
  8. That "article" is pure speculation. Nothing but an intern checking out the DuggarSnark subreddit and reporting baseless comments from the posters there.
  9. I worked one summer at a McDonalds with an ice cream machine, and I learned one important lesson--do not eat soft serve from a restaurant where the machine is always broken. A broken ice cream machine means the establishment does not clean or maintain it. They are a bacteria breeding ground. I don't eat it unless I know the manager. Why people love McDonalds ice cream has always baffled me.
  10. Kevin will write, produce, direct and star in the Jack Pearson biopic which will then net him that hardware. He will accomplish this while on a break from his new home building company. HIs wife will be a new character who somehow has the skills to make all of Kevin's dreams come true. I do like the idea of him falling for a contractor, and the meet cute happens on the construction site.
  11. What busy acting career? We saw that Kevin's latest movie is going to be a bust, and his previous on-set behavior is taking him out of roles. Kevin is at a crossroads professionally and will now have to decide if he wants to continue acting in lesser projects or leave acting for another career. He needs something to do besides co-parenting with Madison.
  12. The actress looked familiar, but I could not place her, thanks. I spent most of the episode thinking that yes Paul Kinsey is the kind of man who would end up in an abusive relationship. In my head the character was Paul in the 21st century.
  13. I might be projecting my own experiences onto Kevin, but I see him as letting go of his childhood issues with Rebecca (and Jack). He had the hard conversation with Rebecca in his therapy session and got the devastating answer from Rebecca about how Randall was easier to love. He needed her to acknowledge it, she did, and now he can move on. Kevin and Rebecca have spent time together after he left rehab. Kevin moves into her house with Miguel and we see Kevin finally accept Miguel as his mom's second husband. Then Rebecca moves to LA after Kevin relapses. Yes, she and Miguel had other reasons to move there, but we do see Kevin and Rebecca spend time in LA. Kevin has no need to make up for not being there when the house caught fire. Him not being there saved his life. No way Kevin would have made it out of the basement with one good leg. I wish the show would remember this.
  14. This was probably Elektra's swan song, and she will only appear in the background with one more read next episode. So Elektra lives on rich from her phone sex business and mob money.
  15. Jill is not giving her kids Plexus on the regular. She just posts pictures of her kids taking a sip of their product or pretending to take a vitamin for her SM posts. Jill would never spend that much money on a supplement for her kids. Herself yes, her children, no.
  16. I guess you did not read Flowers in the Attic at 13. That book left an impression on a lot of women at a young age.
  17. Kate and Toby's marriage at this point is still fixable. They have not gotten to the point of irreconcilable differences or infidelity**. Each could attempt to communicate to their spouse, but as we have seen they continue to do the opposite. As I said a few pages back, they keep on patching up their relationship but you can only patch things so many times before the whole thing falls apart. **I really do now want an infidelity story. A Kate cheats on Toby with Philip story would make these boards unreadable. I would still watch the show just stay away from any comment section. Infidelity is such a third-rail issue for so many people, I hope the show stays well away from it.
  18. If anything, Elektra's cavalier attitude towards Hot Chocolate will be her downfall. She's not hiding her mob ties around him and just cuts him loose when she's bored. Yes, he's not going to go to the cops because he's angry at Elektra, but he seems to be a corroborating witness if she gets indicted.
  19. I am in the camp who sees how badly both Jack and Rebecca neglected Kevin through the years. I empathize with Kevin because I was that child growing up with my mom. I can watch the show and see how Rebecca failed Kevin as an adult like what you listed. But in this instance, Rebecca is thinking about Kevin and what Kevin needs. She is not using Kevin for his money. What Kevin needs right now is something to keep him busy so he doesn't pick up a bottle. Building that house is that something. Of course he will still bond with his kids, but they are infants and Madison is breastfeeding, so his time with them will be limited. And the house is something he can contract people to build while he films another project. Who knows, he may even meet a lady architect or contracted, and she can be his future wife.
  20. Toby wasn't looking that great in the hotel room, but neither did Tess and Randall in their scenes. Because, they are not gathering together for a happy occasion. They are gathering around Rebecca's deathbed after her decade long battle with alzheimers. And now that we know Toby and Kate divorce it has a potential to get awkward. Rebecca asks Kevin to build her the house right after Kate expresses her concerns that Kevin might relapse. Kate tells Kevin to keep busy, and Rebecca says build me that house. Rebecca is trying to give Kevin a project that is complex and longterm so he stays sober.
  21. She most likely does. Around here it is known as an Ink Pin.
  22. Rebecca did write on the tape do not use. Also that Dynasty episode was aired in May, and May baseball games are not must watch. The Pirates winning or losing that one particular game that Jack could not stay awake for would have little to no impact on their overall record. I just looked it up and the Pirates finished that season in last place with a 57-104 record. Jack literally missed nothing and probably would never have gone back to finish watching the game. But to him, that baseball game was more important than taking the 2 seconds to look at the VHS tape before using it.
  23. You are right. I know Joy has posted before about Texas Roadhouse being one of their favorites. It looks like they splurged for their anniversary dinner and went to Longhorn instead. I've only been to a Longhorn a handful of times, and it is a step above the Roadhouse, so Austin needs to remove the hat. Those yeast rolls at TR are the shit. Texas Roadhouse is a supporter of early childhood literacy and they support our summer reading program. It's about time for them to deliver the free kids meal coupons with a dozen or so of their rolls.
  24. I kinda did. I was typing on my phone this morning while getting ready for work.
