  1. Fern was born on the 18th which is the same as Jim Bob's. Felicity is the 19th.
  2. Which one of the boys would be Sheridan Spurgeon, Henry or one to be named later? I am now imagining Spurgeon talking to Jessa on the phone and Jessa having no idea her son is gay. All that innuendo just wooshing on over her head.
  3. I have not seen anything outrageous coming out of the Sussex Squad on Twitter. I did make the mistake of reading the comment section on a gossip site about Harry and Meghan. It was interesting. I did laugh when the commenters had differing theories even though they are all anti-Meghan. From Meghan not giving birth to either of her kids because of some video which shows her baby bump was fake, to Harry being unable to father a child and using both a surrogate and donor sperm, to Harry having a secret love child. It really doesn't matter what the story is, just as long as Meghan is made to look bad.
  4. It is possible that Nat had the bodysuit on under her other outfit. Super stretchy materials like what she wore can be folded and hidden under a skirt suit very easily. The real question is where did Nat hide her boots?
  5. As another public librarian who also used to work in pharmacy, people only see you as their servant. And this includes pharmacists, a profession where many have a doctorate. For some, if you work a public facing job, you are nothing. I remember one time a lawyer wanted to get into it and play the semantics game with us. It was a bit fun because the bitch did not realize the entire staff working that day had at a minimum a bachelor's degree. It was me, a graduate student in the local pharmacy program and the pharmacist. She was not happy to see that we could actually formulate our position and defend it. She assumed that she, a lawyer, could argue her way into us doing what she wanted because we worked retail and must have barely passed high school. The kicker was she dropped off her prescriptions and told us she would be back tomorrow but then decided to wait in the store. So no, bitch, your prescription was not ready in 20 because you told us you would be back tomorrow. You have to communicate that you changed your mind, not insinuate we were too stupid to understand what you said.
  6. Yeah, that outfit screams Felicity dressed herself. A rather normal occurrence with toddlers.
  7. I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, so I know about that picture. What really cracks me up is thinking about Tilda Swinton and a seminary. In some gay circles, she known as Pope Tilda for her adventurous style. She can pull off fashion in a way that no more mortal ever could. I would be the first one to sign up if Pope Tilda opened a seminary, and it would bear no resemblance to whatever Fuller is.
  8. Way to kill a meme there Jeremy. I haven't the foggiest as to what they are lampooning here. Are those acronyms for different Protestant seminaries? If so, isn't The Masters Seminary more like Wes Anderson here and not Bill Murray. The joke is Bill is the lazy slacker of the group, not the most pretentious.
  9. Natasha's styling has always been ridiculous. I still can't get over Iron Man 2 when Nat changes her outfit in the car and for some reason known only to men she takes her hair down to fight. Long flowing hair is a liability when fighting. Not only is it hot, it can impede vison, and it gives your assailant something to grab. It was nice to see Natasha get a haircut for the rest of her appearances, but again, she never pulls it off of her face when fighting. Thor gets a half-ponytail, but Nat's hair is always loose.
  10. The only way that could be a good thing if for some reason dad dies young. Even then, the girls won't find anything of value until they have matured enough to understand. He could also get the same result writing one letter to each girl for her birthday. No need to write every. single. day.
  11. My Nordstrom wishlist for this sale is skincare and bras. I love the Paula's Choice BHA liquid and plan on picking up the big bottle. My wardrobe is at the point where I do not have any pressing need. I am trying to resist any other clothing purchases, but you have me intrigued with those leggings.
  12. Of course she watches Jill's videos. Jessa needs to keep up on all of her siblings so she can one up them later.
  13. He also saw the anguish in Natasha as her friend went off the deep end. He was the one who saw the carnage left by Clint in Mexico. Yes, he knows that not everyone comes back, but that doesn't mean he would completely buy Clint's story. A soldier who fought in battle would also know that once a man goes into as dark of a place as Clint did, they lose so much of themselves that killing someone they love can happen.
  14. I like Val manipulating Yelena about Clint and what when down on Vormir. We know that Natasha sacrificed herself, but the only person in the MCU Earth who knows that is Clint. I find this a great piece of writing that moves the plot forward for both the new Hawkeye show and the MCU. And with the way Endgame wrapped up, we don't know if everyone who survived the final battle believes Clint. Rhodey was there with Natasha and knew what Clint got up to during those 5 years; Banner bowed out of the Avengers and became Professor Hulk, but he also loved Natasha. Does he hold Clint responsible for her death, or does he understand?
  15. I wonder if that is one of the Christian pregnancy centers that are common in America. The ones who lie to scared pregnant women in order for them to keep the baby and not abort. They also pretend to care about the woman and child and provide parenting classes to help them become mothers. In my town of 90,000, that is the only kind of pregnancy center. If you live here and need an abortion, you have to travel almost 2 hours. edited to add It is a Christian pregnancy center. Their website is atrocious and designed to fool unsuspecting young women. Nowhere do they state on the page they are against abortion.
  16. I also do not like Chris Elliott and find him repugnant. From what I have seen, he is well liked by his fellow actors. His Shitts Creek costars seemed to love him behind the scenes. Given his longevity in the business, I assume it has been the same on all the other projects he has done.
  17. It would not surprise me at all if both boys start to pose as soon as they see Jessa's phone pointed towards them. Last Thanksgiving I was taking a video of my niece and nephew playing in the leaves, and once my nephew saw my phone he made ready to pose. Kids know when it happens enough.
  18. Yes, the Law and Order action interview. I believe John Mulaney has a bit on this. The few times I have had to talk to law enforcement, I took the time to stop what I was doing and spoke to them. It's not that difficult, just doesn't look good on camera.
  19. That won't work. Jill thrives on being persecuted. It's what she wants. Jill purposefully flaunts the rules of any establishment and also the law because she wants someone to say something. Then she can spin it into her and her family are being persecuted for their "Christian" beliefs. The best course of action for Jill is to not give her oxygen. Ignore her. Also, trans people have enough on their plate. Don't add to it with fake claims.
  20. Daisy Jones was a great audiobook. I got more out of it by listening than I would if I had read the print. Each voice actor really brought the characters to life in a way that cannot happen in print. I also read Klara over the weekend, and was not impressed. I really felt like there was not enough of a story for a full novel, and the material would have worked better as a short story. I could see and feel the mastery of the prose and the restraint, but that left the book soulless.
  21. I don't think it's about the money, but the material. Some actors don't want to play the same character for more than 3 to 5 years. It's gets repetitive and boring after a certain point especially on shows like ER which had no end date in sight. Some actors want the consistent paycheck and a stable work place, others want variety. If a show does have a need for all of the original actors to stay the course, then they need to have a clear plan with how many seasons at the start. That way, they can lock all of the actors into contracts long enough for their vision to be realized.
  22. I was not a fan of the way Natasha died in Endgame, not that she chose to sacrifice herself. It's a writing and directing issue. There should have been actual dialogue with both Natasha and Clint giving their reason why it should be her/him, not an action sequence IMHO. The movie also took Clint to a dark place and never really acknowledged it or resolve it. Natasha may have had red in her ledger she needed to wipe away, but so did Clint. I had no desire to watch the Disney+ Hawkeye show before the end scene. With Yelena in the mix, I may just have to check it out. For me, watching Jeremy Renner in a starring role is like watching paint dry.
  23. I believe Derick has been introducing Jill to more mainstream media over the years. I can totally see him showing Jill The Princess Bride. I just hope she got to experience it on a better screen than their laptop and that Derick refrained from shouting out the dialogue. One thing I hate about watching a cult classic movie for the first time with people who have it memorized, they cannot for the life of them shut up and let you watch it. When I was an undergrad, somehow someone got ahold of The Princess Bride on film. So, instead of movie night at the student center being last year's biggest hit, it was TPB. It was glorious sitting there in a theatre full of fans of the movie and we had a blast. Well, except for my RA who had never seen it before. The film was old and there were some issues with the projection, but there were enough people in the theatre to keep the dialogue going.
  24. Charles also kept his wife from seeing her children. In Victorian England, children were considered the property of the father and the mother had no rights to them. They never officially divorced just legally separated. Charles then used his wife's sister to manage his household and children. Later his eldest daughter took over some of the duties. All the while, Charles was with his younger mistress. His mistress, Ellen Ternan was younger than Charles's eldest 2 children.
  25. A "good" Olive Garden would bring a basket of breadsticks for each Rodlet. They are technically unlimited like the salad (or soup). This would be one of the few times when the Rodlets don't have to give up their food for their parents. Jill probably forces her kids to gorge themselves on the "free" food, and even knows to ask for more salad and breadsticks when their entrée is served for leftovers. Honestly, Jill would be a nightmare for the staff when her horde descends on the OG. She would be the one who would have every other child get the never-ending pasta dish and "share" with his/her siblings. It would not matter to Jill if that is against OG policy. Jill will find a way to get the most food for the lowest price. They would all drink water except for Shrek and Herself, and Jill will run the staff ragged bringing back bowl after bowl of salad or soup and baskets of breadsticks. Then they will leave a tract as a tip. But, hey, at least her kids will feel full for a day even if they are still malnourished.
