  1. Rewatching Season 9 now and... Bert. F-ing Bert. Unbelievably rude to all his teammates on every challenge. Blatantly lied on the runway and was never called out on it. Keeps getting sympathy from Heidi for being picked last. I don't like his looks for the most part (the one based on the painting was terrible but I'll admit he made a cute dress out of his boxers and sheets in Ep. 1.) But he just seems like such a terrible person that the work is almost besides the point. Joshua at least apologized to him and to the group at large for his outburst. Bert just doubted that sincerity and offered no apology. Flames. Flames down the side of my face.
  2. I just got a brand new smart tv with Tubi access built in, which means I am now marathoning this to be followed by all the other "of Love" shows. I can confirm that Lacey's Dad coming to visit is still in the Top 10 most entertaining things I've ever seen on tv. (And I still love Brandi M.)
  3. I just thought of a new one: Sybil Disobedience.
  4. If I may be so bold... I'm mostly a lurker on the forums but I'm knee-deep in this topic right now, taking time off from work after a fun bout of bipolar psychosis. Anyway, two years ago, I participated in a documentary about this topic (led by Amanda Palmer) and it just came out. Sharing here in the hopes that sharing stories lightens the load and builds connection. (Not making money off the clicks or anything.) Obvious trigger warnings re: mental health, suicide. Oh and I'm the one with short blond hair, if you're curious.
  5. Just marathoned this all in the last few months, having never even seen slips but having heard it was great. They had me when Schmidt put on the silly hat and slapped Spencer in the pilot. The entire supporting cast is amazing and they all had fantastic but totally unique chemistry in every combination of scene partners.
  6. I forgot the best part of that Dave Foley story: My bf at the time was also named Dave. So when he first came over and we introduced ourselves, (before the grossness) I busted out "These are the Daves I know." No regrets. 😉
  7. I met Dave Foley about 10 years ago. He was gross. Hit on me and when I pointed out my boyfriend, he propositioned us both. A few drinks later, he dropped trou in the bar as if that would convince us. It did not.
  8. Rahul Kohli! He is so charming, able to do drama and comedy. He should have the John Krasinski arc and now become a movie leading man.
  9. I am so excited for this. Im 35 and grew up on these books. And if anyone is re-reading the books, I highly recommend the podcast Baby-Sitters Club Club.
  10. I just watched it for the first time and thought it was an apparently not-so-dead Meg. Thanks for the clarification.
  11. This one hard to admit... deep breath... I love this hip-hop cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.
  12. I love The Dandy Warhols and have seen them live but... Courtney Taylor-Taylor really couldn't hit those notes. I really thought this was supposed to be a joke like "Hey, look at this rock star whose voice you love in our opening credits. Now see him bomb at kareoke. Oh the hilarity." But then in went on. And on.
  13. A lot of Amanda Palmer songs get to me but espcially The Bed Song:
  14. Just finished This Is Day One by Drew Dudley. I very rarely delve into self-help/motivationbal books but Drew is an aquaintance of mine and he sure knows how to tell an anecdote so I gave it a shot and liked it. Started Watch Me by Jody Gehrman yesterday. I knew nothing about ti but it caught my eye at the library. I was hooked from the first page. So rare that the suspence is there for the very beginning. (What is it about late fall / early winter that makes us want to curl up with a mystery?)
  15. My people! I'm a massive BSC fan. I started reading them as a pre-teen and am now in my mid-30s with an almost complete collection (including California Diaries, Mysteries, Super Specials and that weird BSC Encyclopedia that has an absurdly detailed map of Stoneybrook.) My favorite baby-sitter was Abby. She only joined in book 90(ish) but was funny, athletic and the only person to stand up to Kristy. When reading the aforementionned encyclopedia, I noticed that Jessi never really had a personality. She is a ballerina, she's Black, and she likes the same stuff as Mallory. Her section had no information. Sad.
  16. My go-to is reality tv. If I'm home sick, I'll just put on a playlist of America's Next top Model and Project Runway and leave it on random. I see Christian Siriano making a prom dress for a difficult client, then I wake up from a nap and Melrose and Eugena are fighting. It all melds together. Last night, I couldn't sleep so I put on Full House. The stakes are unbelievably low so I knew I wouldn't care what I missed when I finally managed to sleep.
  17. Squee! I'm watching this for the first time and managed to stay unspoiled. That Logan kiss was a total surprise to me and I squealed. I'm in my mid-30s and an otherwise reasonable adult but those two have crazy chemistry.
  18. Two more to add to the list since my last post: At The Drive-In Grandmaster Flash
  19. I'm super into Silverchair (yes, still!) and this video is so pretty. The colours, the clothes, Daniel's hair. Swoon.
  20. Erika Linder in Below Her Mouth. Probably unfair to call her a movie star crush since she's mostly a model but in that movie... Damn. She's the one on the right in this poster. I aknowledge that her costar is also lovely but my eye always goes to the androgynous one. :)
  21. I never take off my wedding ring. The other two pieces I put on daily is a chunky men's watch and one ring that my grandpa made out of the handle of an old fork that he thought had a cool design.
  22. I'm pretty fluid with gender so if I were a Queen, it would be Lauren Order. As a king, I'd represent Canada with Queefer Sutherland.
  23. I rewatch the TH Umbrella clip every few weeks. Dude does multiple dance styles and slays them all. That last flip kills me.
  24. Just fund this place! Voting against 26.
  25. I normally watch this show for the schadenfreude but... I liked those two and thought they were adorable! Warmed my cold, dead heart.
