Man, get out of this thread before you get spoiled like crazy! Lol, your mind is going to be blown if you don't read anymore. I'm still in total and complete shock. This episode was brilliant. I hope we're in the framework for at least two episodes!

What?! WHAT?!? I can't EVEN. Ward?!? Ward!!! Hydra?? Okay, is it next week yet? How many episodes are we going to get in the framework? Think we'll see Triplett alive too? Or Ward's CI that now I can't think of his name. Will the Avengers be dead? My mind is blown. This might be right up there with the Hydra reveal. And we have to wait until April. Unreal.

I'm still crying. Poor poor Randall.

I feeli like Iris has to be on more of an equal footing with Barry to go on a fun trip. I'm not saying Julius is, but Julius isn't the love of Barry's life. I'm kinda more bummed that Cisco hasn't tricked Julius into saying a line from Harry Potter yet. Double points if its an actual Draco line. I thought there were some really great one-liners in this episode. I loved HR's "I'm sorry I took away your smile" line. It was hauntingly sad. I can't think of anymore, but I remember thinking, someone was on their A-Game this episode.

There are so many character interactions I can't wait to see. Chris Evans and Chris Pratt are friends in real life, so I don't know how they're even going to keep a straight face with each other. Tony hitting on any of the female characters will be gold. What if Thor knows of the Guardians? I'm sad we won't hear a "rainbow road" joke between Starlord and Thor because it wasn't invented before Peter was taken. I hope someone makes Peter another mixtape (definitely pulling for that person to be Black Widow or Spidey). Can the Ladies have a badass scene together and save at least one Avenger/Guardian please? My only sad point is I wish we would see some of the TV characters too. Daredevil being amused while talking to Barton. Leo Fitz loses his mind at a talking Racoon. Jessica Jones having a conversation with Natasha about the crap that's happened to them. Luke Cage trying to lift Thor's hammer. Gemma Simmons talking science with Tony. And everyone being mad that Coulson is alive. I could be persuaded to watch a four hour movie of everyone interacting with each other...

I agree. Imagine if the storyline wasn't with Richard but with Alex. It could have been Alex comforting her with a story of his old collegue and his first surgery. And teaching her how to talk to parents. Heck, Richard could have been there too, watching another intern he brought up stepping up to the plate. And it would have fit the storyline too, being a Peds patient.

Was this episode supposed to make us like Minnick? I think I might hate her more now. I knew as soon as her and Stephanie were trolling for a patient and they found a kid, that the kid was not going to make it. She didn't even do her job with Stephanie, from start to not quite finish. Off the hook, what an awful thing to say. Man, did she blow it. And I hate that they're forcing Minnick and Arizona together. Ugh. Poor Stephanie. This reminded me of George and his first surgery. I wish Grey and Alex had been in this episode, we could have gotten a passing mention of his surgery...or George's nickname as a result.

When I was watching Rogue One, I had that exact same thought. It would be a fun tie-in to Rogue One if they do end up on Jedha. Plus, we would get to see the aftermath of the destruction of the Death Star when it does't detroy a planet. I don't have any background knowledge when it comes to novels and Star Wars, so I don't know if the location of the Jedi Temple is something that is common knowledge. My only Star Wars knowledge comes from the movies.

Wait. Did they...did they really swap out everyone BUT FitzSimmons??? My mind is blown right now. This is a real bold move. I wish we would see everyone in the framework, I was hoping that Real!Aida would tell May she was in a simulation. But now, this is trippy. So its FitzSimmons against Shield? It would be cool if they could tap into Yo-Yo and other friendly Inhumans for help (like Joey). Or the help of the Koenigs?? Does AI!Coulson have a fancy Fitz-made hand? Does AI!Daisy have Quake's powers?

This feels really dumb to say considering I practically have the animated version memorized, but I feel like this final trailer shows so much, almost too much. I'm trying super hard to not get hyped up about this movie. Whenever I do, I just get disappointed. But I just love Beauty and the Beast, man I hope its good.

Did anyone count how many references there were to Star Wars and Indiana Jones in this episode? We had: 1) Amaya and the "you're our only hope" line 2) The Dumpster scene (George Lucas was totally Chewie right) 3) The fact that it was Amaya and the boys working with George escaping and then they're eventually joined by two more like in A New Hope when they're rescuing Leia and the droids join them. 4) The blasters everyone apparently had (seriously, the nosie sounded just like the Star Wars Blasters) 5) I kinda think Rip with his gun scene was homage to Indiana Jones gun versus the sword fight 6) Chasing the Spear of Destiny is very Indiana Jones Was there more?

I wish I could like your post a million times! I always loved when Lin would post West Wing Giphys that would show up on my twitter feed, but this is just fantastic.

Teen Wolf! You missed a prime Star Wars moment with Noah and him "seeing" Stiles with the new Rip to the train-station. You could have had him say "Help me Dad, you're my only hope." I know I know, shame on me for hoping for a cool continuity moment with Teen Wolf. I loved that Peter was a big damn hero to save Malia. I actually thought she wad going to shout out "Dad" right before he was shot. If we dont get to see Stiles watching Melissa enter the train station and see them hug each other in reunion, I'm going to be bummed. And him seeing Argent and Peter. Having Argent on the inside might be a positive thing. Who knows what trouble Stiles and Argeny could get into.

I'll be honest, as a Packer's fan, I cannot believe we won that game. We might have had a nice first half but the second half was full of ugly plays and miscommunications all over the place. Crosby though, he was all gold tonight. You just keep kicking those footballs man. You are a beast!

A Series Of Unfortunate Events - General Discussion
SnoGirl replied to yeswedo's topic in A Series Of Unfortunate Events
No, when she was talking to Gustav on the walkie-talkies she started to bring up the parents but we don't actually hear which parents she's talking about. -
Well, that episode was unexpected. The abrupt endings to both storylines and then the twist in both of them was pretty cool. I not like that the new inhuman's power is speed. Is it speed? Why did he cocoon at the end. I wish the power was different but I hope, like everything else this episode, there's a twist. Wish Joey was still a Secret Warrior, could have used his metal melting capabilities when the jet was spraying bullets everywhere. Can you imagine being Shield's clean-up crew? Ugh, my most hated part of this episode was with Phil/Not!Melinda. I swear, if they have sex I might be done with the show. I hope Phil goes slow and figures it out. What is the point of Coulson not being the director? Didnt he want to be out in the field? Because what's his face is going out now too. I'd rather have Coulson back in the driver's seat with Bobby and Hunter playing agents. Grrrr.

Jordy Nelson is my Football husband, and when he took that shot, every Packer fan in the house was groaning about how we just got him back to full speed with Rogers. But LOVED that Cobb (Welcome back!) stepped up his game. His smile just lights up the room. When he caught the Hail Mary, no one at the house could believe it. I really think the Packer players could possibly be the best 500 players ever. I wish they would do a bad lip reading video of Roger just throwing bombs and shouting different numbers like 500. McCarthy should be thanking his lucky stars he has such amazing players, and players who really stepped up their game. This game could have been a bloodbath. Reports are already flying about drug tests for the Giants, but none of the guys who went to Miami. You would think it would be the guys who took that mini Vacation.

S01.E01: The Beast Forever / S01.E02 Prison Of The Abject
SnoGirl replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Emerald City [V]
I love when they put a twist on the old stories too. Love all of those, so I knew I'd love this too. I loved it. Didn't care for the Wizard's guard, I felt like they draaaaaaaged the story down (although, did love the Lion line). I did like the spin on the scarecrow having no memory, and I liked that he was still obviously really wounded throughout the episodes, I hate when you see characters real banged up and then suddenly they're fine. I like the mystery surrounding him too. Poor Dorothy, having a real bad couple of days. I do LOVE that her mother is Gina Bellman (hey Sophie!) and it really seems that Dorothy's home really isn't Kansas but Oz. Can I "call" that her mother is the Witch of the South? Or is Aunt Petunia or Tip the Witch of the South? I do hope her father isn't the Wizard of Oz. Speaking of the Wizard, I'm not exactly sure who I'm supposed to be rooting for. So the Wizard's outlawed magic (Someone better tell Aunt Petunia) but the Witches can't overpower him. The Wizard is a bit of a jerk, Glinda is kinda uptight and the Witch of the West is a hot mess. I did like that they called the witches the Cardinals of Magic. Makes me wonder if there's more smaller witches out there, or how the magic works. -
I'm so sorry. That sounds awful. Sleep is sacred, I hope you had something cheeky to say back to your colleague. I can't imagine 15 years of what I went though this summer. Mine was aniexty driven (I liked to call it the end of the world, meaning of life, questioning everything death spiral). Luckily enough, when I told a colleague about not sleeping, she listened and told me to see a doctor. I was able to get the anxiety under control and therefore, got my sleeping under-control. I hope you're able to find something @Quof....I would not wish insomia on my worse enemy.
-
No, I was liking it because it was familar. I went on a stretch of this summer where I was waking up in the middle of the night and not falling back to sleep. I was absolutely miserable. I finally broke down and got some help for my insomia. I thought it was nice you offered to chat at night. It would have been nice if someone told me this summer that it wasn't as uncommon as I thought. No meaniness intended :)

I was really sick (I hardly ever get sick) and woke up to a white being at the edge of my bed. My room had skylights, so I just chalked it up to a weird shadow, but I finally felt better the next day. I've also woken up in my room to a dark shadow by my bedroom door. I swore it was someone my my house robbing me. I screamed "Get the f*ck away from me," while scrambling for the huge metal flashlight I keep by my bed. The shadow ran towards me and disappeared into my nightstand. I slept with the light on for a couple nights after that. I always "see" things out of the corner of my eye, like someone just standing or sitting just beyond my eyesight but when I look, no one is there.

If they didn't, I'm sure they are wishing they did now. I'm torn. I don't want them to recast AND I don't want them to change Leia's story. Carrie Fisher is Leia, and for her not to be able to finish the story is tragic. And on the other hand, Leia was a game-changer for girls. A warrior who fought for what was right even though she could have easily been just a damsel. To die off-screen, ugh. Leia deserves better. I'm torn in the worse way, and I don't envy whoever has to make the final decision. My geeky heart is broken with the loss of Fisher. I hated that they killed off Solo, and now I'm wondering if Disney is also kicking themselves for that. I wonder if Luke is going to make it out of the story alive now. Or if they'll do reshoots to VIII to write out Leia. After this year, I wonder if studios will change how they shoot giant blockbusters with older actors.

In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths
SnoGirl replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
It's like 2016 is dragging its grimey, decrepit fingers holding onto what's left of 2016 and grabbing anything it can before it takes the final plunge into the deep. Poor Billie and Todd. How do you ever look at this holiday season again without feeling a deep sense of loss? I had a close family friend's child pass at the end of May five years ago now, and whenever that date looms, I'm filled with awful dread and sadness for their loss. I hope they are able to hold on to those they hold dear and get through their grief together. -

I'm crushed. Leia was everything to me when I was a kid. We watched the Star Wars movies on holidays with the family because of how many cousins I had, it was the only the movie we could agree on. The last time I felt like this was when Alan Rickman died. My geeky heart is heavy. Rest in Peace Carrie Fisher. You were a giant, a role model, and you will be missed. I'll be proudly rocking my Leia buns on May 4th. -
So, venturing into this convo about having Jedi's or not, was Chirrut not a Jedi? I felt that Chirrut was a rusty Jedi, one who did not use a lightsaber. He believed whole-heartedly in the force, was able to successfully fight blind, and had an uncanny sense to dodge shots from blasters. I will say I was surprised he didn't get them out of their cell (especially with Baze's sarcastic remarks about him doing it) but I thought he was waiting until he knew what happened to Jyn. I thought he was a Jedi. Or was he a warrior who believed in the Force? I wonder if we'll ever see Jedha again in the later films. It would be interesting to see the aftermath of the Death Star where the planet wasn't completely destroyed.
