Leverage Classic - Past Seasons Discussion
SnoGirl replied to fastiller's topic in Leverage: Redemption
So Dean Devlin and the Leverage FB page is asking people to tell Netflix and Hulu how much they love Leverage. Sooo....are they trying to steal A MOVIE?! Or is it to keep Leverage streaming? -

Man I would love if Christina came back. I've been watching old episodes, and I'd love to see the Twisted Sisters back together. Or Christina and Alex sparring off again. That's probably expecting too much. Christina would be back and share scenes with everyone except Alex and Mere. -
Im glad he got back on the horse too. I cant imagine how scary his accident was, and what was reported of his injuries, I'm sure it was quite the set-back. Im actually really glad he's keeping his story mostly private. I think most celebrities reveal too much about themselves (or the pap goes after them too much). I'm sure his story was more under the radar because he really hasnt "made it" big yet.

I dont know how to link it, but The Chive did a video with Dylan O'Brien on a shooting range. Not only was it crazy impressive, but in no way did it remotely remind me of Stiles. O'Brien was super serious in it. Im really interested in seeing his movie when it comes out.

I bought tickets for both Friday and Sunday. I cannot WAIT to go and watch. Apparently, Brewers dont have enough staff to do the upper sections of the stadium, which is why they only opened the lowers. I was still kinda surprised they didnt prepare for it. I hope Miami fans were able to get seats.

Cleveland! Im so excited you guys broke the 20 game win streak. I was keeping watch while my class was working today! I wish Twitter would let you guys expand the team's Twitter handle to the correct number of W's. Meanwhile, the Brewer's are going to host Miami this weekend instead of the Crew going down there. Im going to try to get tickets for Friday and Sunday. I dont get why they are only opening the lower level Friday night, I think they're definitely going to pack us in with everything that's going on with the Crew.

Maybe they'll have a permanent doctor at the firehouse, like a trauma doc. Although that doesnt explain Ben but it is Shonda's world so who knows. I can already see episodes where he and EMT's fight about treating patients, or him doing some crazy field doctor stuff (which, he was already doing at the hospital so now out in the field?). Is there a forum for Grey's Firehouse or whatever its called yet? Because I was hoping for more girl power and wanted Shonda to stack this firehouse with more ladies than gents. But if Ben's there, I wonder if its going to be all dudes with some (hopefully) ladies. -
I'll just take a Cubbie sweep. I hope September is about to get REAL interesting for us Brewer fans.

Heeeeey-O. It's been quite the weekend for us Brewer fans. Come on boys, keep striking while that iron is Hooooooooooooooot!

I really thought he was back because he's been posting on Instagram from LA again. I thought this the last tome he was in LA too. I didnt want to jinx it because I loved Hunter and Bobby. Hopefully we'll get her back soon, I'm seeing reviews of Orville arent great. Fingers crossed! ?? Im still certain he was supposed to be in the Framework and was cut. He was posting a ton of Insta-videos with Agents of Shield actors right when they were taping it. I cant wait to see Hunter, Mack and Fitz in Space! -
Well, not that we didnt know this before, Beacon Hills High School is absolutely the worse. Ugh. Where are the good kids/teachers. They cant even give us a scene where some random kids or teachers promise to try and protect each other but obviously look scared shitless? If everything is constantly about packs, how cool would it be to see packs of the Non-Supernatural and Supernatural high school students slowly coming together. Its a bummer they got rid of Danny. It could have been like Harry Potter when they get back to Hogwarts and Neville, Luna and others had been causing all sorts of trouble on their own, coming together in the end for the fight. It really seems like they knew they had one last season and they're cramming in as much as possible making for an unclear storyline. Scott and Malia? Check. Liam and Theo beating each other to have Theo save him in the end like Liam saved him from the Sand Sisters? Check. Crazy townspeople out to kill everyone? Check. Gerald being the Grandfather from hell? Check. Tease Stiles and Derek but have no check-in with them until the end of the season? Check. It's literally like they're throwing ideas against the wall to see what sticks. Ps. Lydia, for the love of everything, learn to channel and use your powers. And the Powers that be stop making her stand all hunched forward, she looks ridiculous.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Media
SnoGirl replied to ottoDbusdriver's topic in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Chloe is making news after praising a white actor for stepping down after finding out his character was originally Asian in the Hellboy comics. Article I love that she's standing up for herself. I, for the life of me, don't get why some of the casting for comic book movies are so spot on and others are just so off-base, especially Marvel and its Asian characters. And its crazy that Chloe says that the first audition after she changed her name, she got a role. In today's world it still blows my mind that this is an issue. Bring on the diversity Hollywood! -
JJ Watt is raising money for the devastation in Houston. In, I believe two hours, his fundraiser had $200,000 worth of donations for the city. As a fellow Wisconsinite, he's one of the few football players I love as much as my Packer Players. I'm editting to post, JJ's findraiser is now at the 1,000,000 dollar mark. Amazing.

S06.E14: Face-to-Faceless / S06.E15: Pressure Test
SnoGirl replied to HunterHunted's topic in Teen Wolf [V]
Coach is a teacher, we've seen him in the classroom teaching, I think economics, last year. You are right, as a teacher, you choose if you want to get into the fray of a fight bc if you get hurt it may or may not be covered. As a teacher though, I don't know a lot of us who wouldnt have stepped in to break up a fight, or attempt to slow it down so more help can come. Really, if the Chemistry Teacher didnt want to fight, she should have been calling for help from the office. And another dose of realism that we'll never see on Teen Wolf, the school probably would have gone into lockdown mode (just no one in the hallways) so they could get everyone involved in the fight to the offices and away from everyone else. I guess you could account her not intervening on the same fear that has affected everyone. I've always wondered why no one has ever questioned the crazy comings and goings and murders in their town. I'm not surprised this storyline is happening but I am not a fan how they're going about it. Especially all the dying. But this is Teen Wolf so I'll stop caring so much. -
Thanks...I felt like there was a lot of handwaving instead of actual logical worldbuilding happening that I tuned out.

S06.E14: Face-to-Faceless / S06.E15: Pressure Test
SnoGirl replied to HunterHunted's topic in Teen Wolf [V]
I did too. They laid some groundwork with Coach being Superntural when he got really sick from that disease back when there was a bounty on everyone's heads. I like that he tends to be oblivious to some things (not knowing the players/students' names) and crass about others. Which is why I totally thought they were going to drop the proverbial supernatural truth bomb on us during that scene. -

SnoGirl replied to HunterHunted's topic in Teen Wolf [V]
Do you think its going to come out that Coach is a Supernatural? I loved that he stopped the fight and seemed angrier more than his normal level. It would be interesting if he was some passive Supernatural and brought it up in passing, kinda like Danny did many moons ago. The scenes with Liam were awful. I hate when teachers choose to do nothing (I had the same problem with 13 Reasons Why). Im surprised they had the Chemistry Teacher be passive, but then again, they didnt have a lot of known teachers to choose from. These episodes feel like Teen Wolf Lite. Stiles missing is definitely creating a void on the show. Last season I didnt mind it because it drove the season forward. Stiles in DC, and the parents being pretty light as well just seem to highlight what made this show special and how glaringly different this last season is. -
I'm jealous you have it as a ringtone! I didn't even think to try and download it for my phone. Topic: I've watched the series twice now...can someone explain how Alexandra could be bested by sword? Is it because they chopped off her head? If she really is hundreds of years old, how did she avoid death all these years. Is she a comic book character? Is there back-story somewhere else?
-
As a fellow knitter, I love this. I follow Ritter on Instagram because of all the knitting stuff she does (girl makes up her own patterns, she's awesome). I wonder what Charlie's finished knit looked like...

I might have replayed the scene a couple times when I realized it. Out of all the Marvel themes, DareDevils is one of my favorites.
-
Im like 99% sure the song Matt plays on the piano is his own DareDevil theme music. Did anyone else hear it/catch it?

When I watch that scene, I always imagine they actually built the two's friendship, like original-recipe ObiWan talked about. That they were really brothers and not the relationship we saw. I think I read somewhere that they took out a scene where they fought a monster together before the end of the fight. I think it was a mistake that they took that part out. I know it was a long fight, but I think it would have shown the audience how truly awful it was that these two brothers were fighting each other. But then again, they mangled what their story could have been, so I dont know if the scene would have had the same impact I wished it would have had. Can we get McGregor in the current Star Wars series? This is the series he deserves, not the ones he was (in my opinion) the only shining star in.

I....dont know how I feel about this episode. I think I just expected more. Matt. Killing yourself was your plan? I mean, I should have seen the writing on the walls since you had been self-sacrificing yourself since season one, but that was your go-to move? I wish he had listened to Stick earlier when he said "We're only going to get out if this together." As a team, as The Defenders I bet they could have gotten out of there alive if they had actually worked together instead of everyone almost always fighting on their own. Speaking of The Defenders, did they ever have that magical team moment? It was all "rescue Danny" and then "fight our way out." I felt like there was no growth. Matt still fought Electra on his own. Did Danny ever learn teamwork? Did any of them learn teamwork? Luke and Jessica were kinda developed with the others (Luke and Finn, Matt and Jessica). Im also shipping Matt and Jessica. Their scenes together sparked. The whole season is blurring together and I need to rewatch, but was it just my imagination or did the trailers for the season show the Punisher and we never saw him?? I was expecting him to show up at the end, grabbing Matt or shooting Electra. I literally saw Matt laying there at the end, thinking maybe Punisher would be hanging around somewhere and we'd see a flashback to Matt getting out. I literally shouted "WTH" when the credits rolled. That would have been one heck of an ending, especially since I think the Punisher likes Matt deep down. Im mad he was in a trailer.
