  1. Andy could probably milk an extra episode out of the reunion if he'd bring in a lie detector and give them all a test about what they've said and if it is true or not true.
  2. If you haven't seen them, HGTV has a little series about the Fords growing up called Ford Family Classics--with home movies and stories about their family growing up---it is very sweet and it's fun to see that Steve and Leanne's dynamic has been the same since they were little kids. https://watch.hgtv.com/tv-shows/ford-family-classics/
  3. Before this season started I remember reading on one of the gossip sites that the reason Denise and Aaron threw together their 2-day warning wedding was to get her on the show--and that they didn't even have the legal paperwork--it was just for the show. It was just after Charlie tried to cut his payments to her because he's blown all his money, so I assume she needs to be on the show and to be filming lifetime movies to keep them going--I've no idea how much Aaron's work brings in. I am not sure where they moved to Malibu from--I remember the days at the peak of Charlie craziness where he lived on a cul-de-sac and he got his exes places on the same street so he had like a little compound.

Aw, I knew she wouldn't be able to stay away long!
  5. Also hated the mural. I would have made sanding that wall down and re-painting a condition of the sale. I did not mind the one they did in the bedroom as much but it also would be something I'd get rid of for myself. I loved the penny floor and think the be kind was ok--it was not too out there although like others who've posted, I am not a fan of all the word signs that are so popular right now. I also like when they bring their kids to work a bit on their houses or when Luke takes his kids shopping.
  6. The dark green walls did not work in this house--and I am someone who loves green--had mostly green in my decor for many years. I actually have silk curtains that are almost the same color as what she ended up picking--but it was not a good fit, and I did not like the stark white above--it might have been better if it was a creamier tone. The texture on the walls was really distracting from the style I think she might have been going for--and that style would have been better with a picture rail or something. I probably would have done that board and batten framing over the lower section to try to cover up as much of the textured wall as possible. And I liked the color/material of the couch but it was too darn big for that room and blocking off the fireplace with one end and it falling kind of off-center from the opposite wall bothered me from a function perspective. A smaller scale L-shaped piece that left the end by the fireplace open might have been better but I'm not sure. I feel like for the money they spent they did not really fix the layout issues in the house. Steve seemed really off in this one--not sure if he was worried about her being on-site and pregnant, or he just knew the design was not going to come out well but he was definitely not himself.
  7. I'm actually interested in Rachel's book---I read a piece this morning that "surprisingly" Russian oil is replacing Venezuelan oil in the marketplace, so it sounds like she was on it with this. I have been wanting them to bring Tillerson in to testify in Congress --he seems to be hinting he has some tea to spill. I doubt that she will push it much until closer to the pub date. She did not over-promote Bag Man. I am glad Rachel is having time to do other things--she has a great analytical mind and is a first class researcher so I would imagine to some degree it is good for her to do something like this instead of the daily political scandal grind. At first yesterday I was all excited to hear the Mazar decision but it sounds like they are going to have to go through that exact same case over and over at every level of the court system for them and for the Deutsche bank cases and with the room full of lawyers Trump has hired, it is not going to go as fast as we'd like. But it does sound like this judge's opinion was very firm and hopefully the appeals will uphold it.
  8. Tinsley needs to do something like volunteer for something that helps kids---adopt a little sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters or something to see if she even likes being around kids. From what we see of her life, I'm not sure what she would do with a kid---maybe take them places like museums or plays and she has said she was pretty athletic, so maybe play tennis or something with them. It's not a huge time commitment so she could maybe spend an afternoon with them a few times a month to just see how it feels. I wonder if she has ever spent any time on her own at all with a child--she doesn't seem like she was the type to do babysitting when she was a kid. It would do her good to try it --do something for someone else and see if she likes being with them or not.
  9. I read some article a month or so ago that said that Karen was going to cut back on some of her time on the show this season.
  10. Y'all, this town hall thing he's doing is SO entertaining. Some good shouting on all sides. They need to let Chris do this every week---it was really good. Instead of the carefully hand-picked people and questioners it was kind of a free-for-all but was way better than his shows in the studio.
  11. Beto bored me as well. I think the way the democrats should winnow down the field a bit is if a candidate cannot show that they could deliver the electoral votes for their own home state, they need to step back and go home and do something to change that. I feel like Beto really likes to talk a lot but I never really know what he's said when he moves on to his next event or speech. I also have concerns with the fact that when he was running for senate he did nothing to include and involve the Democratic Party and even declined to take Obama's endorsement. We need a 100% team player this time---not just his own team.
  12. According to Tom Arnold (!!!) Cohen has one of the Falwell pictures he kept after fixing the problem, so stay tuned! I feel like Rachel is a little pumped up (as is Lawrence) because we've been talking daily about all this Russia/Trump stuff and now things are actually starting to happen---after a long lead up. All of them are all excited about having Neal Katyal but what I'd like someone to ask him about is since the rules he wrote for the Special Counsel role kind of ended up ham-stringing Mueller because of who his bosses ended up being (not Neal's fault) would he change anything now knowing how some of the investigation was limited by the rules.
  13. I laughed out loud last night when Rachel.....who is usually pretty prim and proper--led with the story about the Jerry Falwell pictures! And as usual, she was way ahead of me---I had not really thought about his endorsement being a "thing of value" and that Cohen's fixing might be campaign finance report.
  14. I was kind of hoping Dollar Bill would crumble and they'd send Bonnie in to take out Maffee.
  15. I have about 5 or 6 of them that I try to keep up with but you're right--there are TOO many. I heard no NPR that with Bennett running they've exceeded the size of the debate stage (even with the 2 night thing) so if everyone qualifies, I am not sure what they do. I did not really get much out of the interview with Kamala Harris --so maybe it is too early for them to be publishing their platform? I don't know how that works---and Warren is just early? I feel like after "She persisted" Warren just sat down and decided she would run and spent the next year or so planning on what she was going to do. And I think Rachel is probably tired because the past few weeks we've had major news drop at 4 or 5 pm and I would imagine when that happens she has to junk a lot of what they've done for that night's show so essentially they're doing 2 shows--one with a time crunch. Since a lot of the shows have a panel, they can have a lot of their panelists just comment on whatever the breaking story is--but Rachel's show rests mostly on her shoulders--and she prides herself on being prepared so I would imagine having to scramble is stressful. At this point you'd think she'd have an A team and a B team that comes in later so if they have to scramble she has the people ready to go to pull it together quick. I think I would have such anxiety if I was in her time slot.
  16. Rachel has Kamala Harris on tonight. I look forward to this one--she is a candidate that I have not had as much time to research her policy ideas on--so I hope they get to that.

I agree---I guess with MSNBC they figure we get that on NBC with the Nightly news but if they have 24 hours to fill, a daily or evening news fill would not be too much--I nominate the hour that Hardball has right now, or MTP Daily. We meet the press all day on MSNBC so we don't need to MTP it more. With the last school shooting, both CNN and MSNBC were all Mueller and politics, and I did not see any live coverage when it was happening.
  18. Rachel has Michael Bennett on tonight for her interview. I like that guy but I think he may be starting too late.

I think probably they think they've got that show with The Beat. I bet Ari is going to be sad he was on vacation when all this Barr stuff happened. He worked like 16 hrs a day the week the Mueller report was released. I think there is more room for more people to talk about legal stuff in the news. Shows I'd like to see-- 1. I agree on another legal perspective show. Of the lawyers they have on staff I think probably Maya is the one who might be ready to host something. I'd add Katie Phang, Harry Litman, it looks like possibly Preet is not under contract with CNN anymore and he's fantastic, and maybe Glenn Kirchner and Elie Mystal. 2. I'd like to see some more diversity--they have a LOT of white people hosting. I would love to see Tremayne Lee given the same sort of special opportunity that they give Richard Engel. Tremayne has done some absolutely beautiful stories and he doesn't get that much exposure on MSNBC--I think he would be really good. 3. I'd like to see a show on women's issues NOT hosted by Mika "know your value" Scarborough. Maybe Stephanie or Yasmin or Katie Tur for something like that. Could be legal stuff, Me Too, ERA, Equal pay....there is plenty of stuff to fill a show like that. 4. I'd like to see some kind of "on the road" show ---with special stories from people like Sobaroff, Atencio, Gadi Schwartz. They do so many re-runs and filler shows I'd really like to see more new content that is not necessarily "breaking news" or just politics based. I didn't know about Donnie and Olbermann. I miss Olbermann. He came back and did some online commentary during the election but gave it up---I still follow him on social media--it's all sports and helping get rescue dogs adopted now.

Donnie Deutsch is getting his own show--Saturday Night Politics.through the election---they just announced it on Nicole's show. He used to sub in on J Heil and Halperin's Bloomberg show a while ago and he was pretty good.
  21. Ha! I'm another one who was happy to hear about Chuck's podcast. I find him to be so stable and capable when he speaks --things can be dropping in the news like crazy and he just sorts them out and helps make sense of them. I thought he was very sweet last night when he said he was humbled that Rachel promoted his new podcast.
  22. I could do with less time spent on the 2 houses they choose from, and spend more time on the design--also less time on the interested buyers who don't buy the house. The houses turn out nicely--and I'd like to see more about the choices Luke makes--his style is different and I'd like a little more time to see the finished house and how it gets there. I do enjoy them bringing their families in for a scene now and them--both of them seem to be good dads.
  23. Hardball has been fun tonight. Chris is soooooo excited that the Mueller letter to Barr broke on his show. "This is BIG! This is really BIG!"
