  1. Keep that baby in the press! I give it 18 months before Gretchen is pitching a Mommy Daughter Pageant show to TLC. https://www.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/gretchen-rossi-talks-parenting-with-slade-smiley?cid=soc_tw_Bravo_RHOC_Dish
  2. Next episode. Dateline turned this story around quickly.
  3. I can't wait to see the discovery on this. https://thehill.com/homenews/media/460611-conservative-network-files-defamation-lawsuit-against-rachel-maddow-msnbc#.XXbiEhNIvdQ.twitter
  4. I've only watched the first promo--where they all show up and see the house and the plans to change it inside to be more like the original set but I thought the designers said it was their job to exactly recreate the set as it was.
  5. So sad to see this. He's had such a terrible time the past couple of years.
  6. I wonder if they are trying to make Chris's live show an alternative to Bill Maher's show. Chris enjoys doing audience based shows, they have a studio and it seems like they can pull in an audience and I would imagine it's easier for them to get journalists and politicians in NY than it is for Maher--I see people all the time on Twitter posting they're flying to LA to do his show. I think the show gets better when he sits down with the guests in the red chairs---it seems more conversational--and it breaks the MSNBC sit around a conference table style. Maher always has good guests, but he kind of squicks me out most of the time so I usually don't watch unless I know someone I want to hear is going to be on.
  7. I pray they follow through and get Dolly on to do an episode. It would be amazing to see them all together.
  8. I watched the promo for this online and for a while I thought Eve was Florence Henderson--she kept looking so good for her age.
  9. I am looking forward to the special tonight that Lester Holt is doing all week about going to Angola. First off I love Lester, but it looks like he did some really good in-depth work--he's been on MSNBC all day today promoting and showing clips.

Kasie Hunt had her baby---Andrea Mitchell just showed their picture on her show. I've never met anyone named Mars--but he looks like he's very cute--and BIG! https://people.com/parents/kasie-hunt-welcomes-first-child-with-matt-rivera/
  11. I grew up in Illinois, and I think maybe one of the homes in our family had a basement--and it was very primitive and would not be suitable for finishing out. Most places had crawl spaces to access under the house. We did have homes around that had underground shelters for tornado season in the back yard. One was a neighbor and we used to play house in their shelter in the summers. I am not sure they do that anymore--this would have been built after WWII, probably.
  12. I think this kind of work is probably the best thing Bethenny could be doing---it gives her an outlet for all of her energy and skills with promoting a cause and she gets a lot of positive feedback for what she does.
  13. I don't know if this photojournalist is his source or who told him, but she was posting every day from the courthouse and then after they announced he'd be retracting she posted that he'd be vindicated.

Donnie is cancelled. I thought this show was really bad--I think it was filmed ahead because who wants to be on cable news on Saturday nights and it showed--it always had kind of a bad pace and not much content to me. I like Donnie as a guest but I didn't think he was a good host. https://www.mediaite.com/tv/to-absolutely-no-ones-surprise-msnbc-cancels-saturday-night-politics-with-donny-deutsch/ To reply to some posts above, I love Chris Jansing--so many of the young ones are on the campaign trail or out having babies, she is getting more time to anchor and I really enjoy her hours. Kasie is on maternity leave, she announced it last Sunday on her show and Ehman is going to cover her show for her. Seems fair, he just came back from family leave with his new baby. Katie Tur said she'd be back in September so things should be back to normal soon. Kasie said she was due "any minute" --she was still posting on Twitter yesterday so I don't think she's had her baby yet.
  15. My guess was that he felt so confident of whoever told him, he let his guard down. I don't think Laurence is as scoop happy as some people, but I do think he has old/deep connections with many people because he's worked so many places so if someone he trusted to know told him maybe he slipped. There is photojournalist was in the courtroom for all this and she seemed to confirm what Laurence got out of his source. Trump has not been the worst--he did tweet about it but not constantly. Eric Trump posted a threat that the Trump Org would sue, but I suspect he needs to run that by Dad's lawyers. They don't want to go to court because then the documents become open to NBC's lawyers for discovery, so they have to tread lightly. NBC has their own Deutche Bank expert--Stephanie Ruhle worked there for 8 years. She seems to be off this week and even when she is in, she seems very reticent to discuss her time or any info she might know about them. Maybe she has an NDA from when she left or something. Not that I think she has direct info, but she never seems to participate when there is DB news.
  16. I just saw that letter---I don't feel like Lawrence is the guy who goes off half-cocked with information, and he did qualify it. I would imagine that this is the network being afraid of litigation. I love this guy and while he is very opinionated, I feel like he does have standards for himself so this must be hard on him. I will plan to watch to see what he has to say.
  17. So last night as a follow up to the trial where Deutche Bank admitted they might have the Trump Tax paperwork, Lawrence said he had a source who said they would show that Russian Oligarchs cosigned his DB loans. This morning Trump's attorneys threatened to sue, including the network. Lawrence did say it was just one source and said "If true"---but I suspect the network is pushing to back off of it.
  18. Vanity Fair has this promo https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2019/08/mr-robot-season-4-trailer-rami-malek-usa?mbid=social_twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_social-type=owned&utm_medium=social&utm_brand=vf
  19. Thank you! I am really bad at catching characters names on shows--and then forever more I am calling them--that dark haired woman!
  20. This episode was so crazy I had to watch it twice. Every person on this show is weak or bad or greedy or needy, and there really isn't anyone to root or but somehow I love every character. Does anyone know the character's name--the tall dark haired woman who would step in every time Logan went crazy wanting something impossible done? I am starting to really notice her but I missed getting who she is.
  21. I think it is a nice change to see them design for someone specific and their lives and taste than to only consider the real estate and sales potential. I remember one early show they did where they were doing a home for a lady and she very specifically wanted a fireplace, and they seemed to really take her taste and wants very seriously. I enjoy both of them--one thing I have been noticing about Karen, as it seems like Mina is doing more --like the other shows on HGTV, --it's a very mom thing--but usually when Mina makes a design suggestion--Karen's immediate reaction is usually "Oh that's great!" or "I love that". She's obviously very talented in a lot of areas herself, but that pride in her kid's talent is always kind of nice to see. I bet she's like that with all her kids. Another reason I think maybe the Small Space show was a quickie is that in most of the shots Mina has the same hair and she is wearing a lot more makeup than she usually does--and in most of their design planning scenes, she looks the same.
  22. So Jess is Tad's full sister and Mina's half sister. If I recall, they did a place in another season that she looked at buying or moving to. I know Mina took her older girl to live with her for a while before Jack was born--I didn't realize she had another baby since then--that littlest one was so cute--I wanted to tickle those chubby cheeks. Today I found a new little show on the HGTV site called Small Space Big Potential---it has about 6 little 10 or 15 minute episodes and Mina and Karen re-do a room in a friend's home--they bring in Tad and Cory and the older contractor--and do a couple of mudrooms, laundry room, home office, and I think a dining room. It's cute--they use the homeowner's budget and it looks like something that they could knock out in a day's filming--so it seems like a way to keep a show going without the huge financial outlay and workload of shooting their regular show, and to give their regulars a paycheck, probably. 🙂 They were cute--nothing big but every room looked better for what they did with it.

    Design Shows

I watched a new to me show called Mountain Mamas last week--it is 2 women--they pretty much follow the Fixer Upper format---they are realtors and then they reno these Montana homes. Their houses are well done, and it is nice to see that they pitch in and do some of the construction themselves. I watched another show called Stay or Sell--which is pretty much Love it or List it but the client decides before the reno--so they look at other homes and decide to either re-do their home or buy another and renovate. I've only seen one and their ideas seem good--but the one I watched--the husband, who does the reno seems not to have looked at the house for problems before coming up with a budget so they had constant budget problems. This one takes place in Minneapolis--and the mid-century home they did was gorgeous before they started. It turned out really nicely.
  24. Change for Kelly---she turns them over fast. https://www.realitytea.com/2019/08/16/kelly-dodd-says-brian-reagan-cheated-her-she-has-a-new-man-already/
