  1. I feel like, its almost like Philip and Elizabeth`s various seductions are just jobs to them. They never come of as sleezy, or even sexy, its just them doing what they think they need to do get the job done. This is all pretty disturbing, but we, the audience, know that Philip is just doing a job, without any actual sexual interest in Kimmy. As to Paster Tim, I have never really gotten a creepy vibe from him, except that he`s a church guy on a TV show. Church guys on TV shows are pretty much always shady at best, predatory at worst, so I feel like the audience just expects it the second we see a church guy. Especially one that has strong political beliefs, or works with teenagers.
  2. I really hope Val comes back again, shes amazing. I totally related to the constant party hopping in this episode. I have had several friends who will drag everyone all over the place, constantly hunting social media and texting friends, looking for the best parties. Led to some REALLY interesting places...but sadly not as intersting as theirs. That`s what I love so much about this show, its just a bit of an exaggeration of things lots of people do in their 20`s. Not big life changing things, just finding humor in random stuff that you might doing doing the week.
  3. I really hope Wes isn't her son. It would make their weird sexual tension even weirder. Even Cicely noticed it, so the writers clearly acknowledge that its deliberate. I cannot get over how real Viola Davis is. Not many actresses will get on TV without their hair and makeup looking great, and here she is, on a starring role on a major network, just going for broke. I have so much respect for her. I`m used to watching actresses look amazing even after fight scenes, or just getting out of bed, so to see Viola so stripped down makes her scenes even more powerful.
  4. I think this show might have actually preemptively killed Maleficent for me. I saw the trailer and was like "This is going to a story about a badass female villain who is actually a sad wounded bird, who was hurt by those mean good guys, turns bad, then is redeemed by the love of a child who isn't biologically her`s isn't it? Good God not this crap again!" Granted, Maleficent isn't as annoying as Regina tends to be in her most self-pitting, and she actually had much better reasons to be pissed, but yeah. Maleficent is the Queen of Evil! I don't WANT her to be a misunderstood good guy. And ruining the awesome good fairy trio, by turning them into child neglecting morons? Unforgivable, movie! I am looking forward to Cinderella though. Its getting good buzz, and I am in desperate need for some really good fairy tales.
  5. Does Rowan just, like monologue to himself in the mirror all the time? Does he sit around and practice his big speeches, when he isn't running top secret government agencies and/or fishing? Did he make some poor agent sit their and listen to him practice his prepared DRAMATIC speech before he runs off to deliver it?
  6. I do miss the good old days, when this show was about Olivia and her quirky friends covering up rich peoples dumb mistakes, with some soapy politics thrown in there. Olivia might have still been the presidents mistress, but I loved watching her take care of shit, while looking fabulous. Now its just kind of 24-lite, with better shoes, and more time for everyone to charge their cell phones.
  7. I was finally getting on board the Rebecca/Wes train, then it looks like she`s shady after all. I still don't think she killed Lila though. No way would they reveal all that before the finale. Connor and Oliver are just so freaking cute it makes my teeth hurt. In a good way. I loved Oliver saying that they murder posse are obviously friends, then they're enthusiasm to finally meet him. Michaela was adorable in that scene. Her and Connor just need to become BFFs already. A lot of talk about rape in this episode. Not sure what exactly we were supposed to take out of all of it. Annalises real name is Anna Mae? Interesting. I cracked up when Bonnie was yelling at everyone to listen to her, and then Annalises Mom shows up, and sends everyone scampering around picking stuff up, yes mam`ing all over. Smart choice guys.
  8. I too, enjoy the lack of romance, as of now. The show has been way more interested in building up her platonic, but still important, relationships that Peggy is making, be it making friends, or just gaining respect. And it would make sense that it would take her while to really start looking for love. Losing Steve is still clearly raw, and she is still dealing with the loss. Whoever turns out to be Peggy's future husband, whether we have met him or not, I am pretty sure he wont officially reveal himself for at least a little while more. Remind me. In Winter Soldier, when did Peggy give the interview when she mentioned her husband? And I am still kind of weirdly convinced Thomson is going to get together with Angie. And I am totally ok with that.
  9. I so knew it would be Steven! Henry Ian Cusick is always welcome on any show, ever. Glad to see him wonder over from The 100, even if it was just for a little bit. At least Abbey admitted that killing Liv as a last resort was the right call. This show... His character, Steven, was an attorney who was a member of Livs team in the first season. He left between seasons one and two.
  10. God I love The 100. So freaking intense and well plotted! Its basically abandoned all its CW love triangles, and is going for straight up political and survival drama. No weak links in the cast either. There`s no pointless subplots, no filler episodes, no pointless characters. Its just so freaking good! I have not had a chance to watch the last two episodes of Empire (plan on doing it really soon) but I really enjoy it. Its kind of soapy, but I really enjoy the characters and the plots. There is a lot of potential to get deeper I think. They have already touched on class, race, homophobia, mental illness, and crime, so I hope they keep a good mix between soapy fun, and the more intense issues. And Cookie is just the bomb dot com! The show I am probably most into right now is Shameless. Without a doubt one of the best ensembles on TV, and, at its best, perfectly walks the line between broad comedy and intense drama and character work. The last episode was, to me, one of the best the show has ever done!
  11. The idea of the show replacing Felicity as the leading lady with Laurel is just so nonsensical. Normally, I worry about a show listening too much to fans and critics, but in this case, they made the right call. Felicity just worked better as a main female character/love interest than Laurel, and it seemed like everyone was happy with that. Laurel worked a lot better as a friend/ally on the traditional side of the law than as a love interest. But now they seem like they are going back, for no reason whatsoever.
  12. That would be awesome! I would love an episode like The Zeppo from Buffy, where we see a big dramatic episode, but all from Zanders point of view, while he`s off having his own goofy adventure. Do a typical Once style monster attack, but from the point of view of Dr. Whale, or Gypetto, or just some random towns-person. Play it for drama, about how the issues of the non Charming`s are being ignored, or play if for comedy, like showing how ridiculous the shows plots and characters can seem from the outside. Or see some kind of support group, where they all talk about how hard it is to adjust to living both a fairy tale life, and a modern one, or they just sit around and complain about all the crap they have to deal with. Maybe wonder why the woman who might have killed their loved ones is just walking around, palling around with the king and queen? That would be amazing.
  13. The show has never really been great about the "needs of the many". It has never cared about the large masses who we never got to know, or don't know as well, as much as the main characters, even main characters like Regina, who have gallons of blood on their hands. This will pretty much always find a way to weasel out of making hard calls, or do what they did with Snow, and have her proclaim over and over how killing Cora was so horrible. Where is Mr. Spock when you need him?
  14. "In ten years we're all gonna' look Puerto Rican.!" I love Charlie. This show is so consistently funny every week. Plus the #LovingMyDaddysGrilledCheese was so weirdly sweet! Dre looked about overcome with joy. I agree about loving Bow and Dre. They seem like a real couples that have been together for a really long time, and like to tease each other and laugh with each other, and are really comfortable with their relationship. Dre being super impressed by Jr. knowing how to use Facebook and Instagram was perfect. My dad is consistently amazed by how easily I can do really basic stuff on Facebook. I just let him think I`m a tech genius too.
  15. My friends mom actually met Stephen King on a plane once! Except she had never heard of him, and only realized he was famous when she mentioned him to my friend. She said he was really nice and friendly, but seemed a bit tired. Pet Semetary and Storm of the Century freaked me OUT.
  16. My favorite scene of this episode? Was actually when Annalise started going after the prosecutor, and basically pulled her last verbal punch, and the mob boss and the mob clan were all cheering and shooting. I thought they were going to break out into the wave or something! Team Murder will hopefully stop looking so dang guilty all the time now. I get that they can play this off like its just a stressful time, but they all look like they're teetering on the age of a major league breakdown.
  17. The more they said "van people", the more I laughed. Especially when Bev freaked out about seeing a V being written on the paper by the counselor. Please tell me Barry dramatically driving the van around while screaming the A Team theme is going to become a running things. I felt bad for the teacher. I totally knew teachers growing up who took the teasing of students WAY seriously, and would get really discouraged. I was happy Adam made him a replacement cake. Nothing wrong with being nice! Adams an Andrew Dice Clay fan! Who knew?
  18. Phil is just the nicest guy ever. I used to think he was a pain in the ass man-child, but now I find his enthusiasm enduring as hell. If Claire hated hanging out with Phil s friends, I think she should have said she didn't want to go, instead of getting all passive-aggressive and taking the best seat. I did love the increasingly impressive tricks of Penn Jillette! He really is a sorcerer. I like Gloria, but I wish she had actually learned some kind of lesson in this episode. Her satisfied little smirk at the end annoyed the crap out of me. Always happy to get a Pepper appearance! He`ll be in Capri all of July!
  19. I totally think someone is going to try to hurt Felicity to get to Oliver in the near future. Maybe it will bring them together, but its just as likely they'll end up further apart...until the writers get sick of fan complaints and get them back together. sniffle...Tommy...sniffle
  20. Jessica was 100% channeling my Mom with her nightly news freak-outs. As a kid, I couldn't do anything with Mom telling me about some horrific story she heard on the news, and how it could happen to anyone if they weren't careful. Hell, I still get those lectures to this day. I am absolutely going to tell her to watch this episode! Its like looking in a mirror!
  21. Since when is Ryan a thoughtless jerk? I liked him, and he seemed so into Jess, it just seems random. Never the less, I liked this one. I have always been fascinated by Portland (never been, but it has rain and coffee, two things I love) so it was cool seeing a little tour of the city. Winston and Cece are a great pair of friends, I love that they're putting them together more now. And I always love seeing Jess's parents. #Bringbackthecat
  22. I could get behind that 100%. I love Lee, and thinking about her turning evil, dying, or getting dumped for freaking Barbara is just depressing.
  23. This show excels at shots like that. Always a visual highlight.
  24. This season is basically a big victory lap...and I love every second of it. I love the parade of past characters coming through. I was especially thrilled to see Other Ron. The hansom spiritual cowboy! And Bill Murrey is the Mayor! Bill Murrey is the king of random cameos. I feel like the Johnny Karate episode will be controversial, but I loved it. The commercials were hilarious, and I cracked up at the "Animals Loose in the Studio!" segment. And Ben's excitement about being knighted, especially when he was just standing in shock in the background through the whole scene, staring at his hands!. I`m going to be a mess when this show ends.
  25. Maybe the writers don't feel like boyfriend is a strong enough term for Mickey and Ian's relationship, so they're trying to find a word that's stronger than boyfriend, without being husband? It makes me so sad that none of the amazing actors on this show will get any awards recognition, besides Macy, who has just been doing his usual Frank shenanigans (I love Bill Macy, don't get me wrong. I admire his commitment to this role), but will certainly get the nomination, just because the voters have heard his name before. It just sucks that none of the rest of the cast will get the awards and official kudos that they deserve, even when they're doing episodes like this.
