  1. Not sure if this info will make a rare to well-done steak more or less appetizing but the "blood" really isn't. It actually is more of a "juice". It's myoglobin. I think I first heard this on Top Chef so if anyone tries to tell you that watching reality tv is not a learning experience...
  2. One morning last week the question of the media being partially responsible for the Trump-rise was posed to the MJ table and there were mea culpas pretty much all around. Laughing mea culpas but it was something. Joe defended all of the Trump coverage by saying that he has invited all of the candidates to call in but Trump's the only one who will. Joe, here's an idea, Don't pick up!!! Ass. es.
  3. I might have briefly zoned out through the few shows I've seen but I don't remember getting a wack-a-doodle-religion vibe. Not much time was even spent on the "mission" and I'm still wondering, Why so many backpacks, Duggars? I watched their tv beginnings via the Today Show and watched their segments 'til their schtick moved from vaguely trainwrecky interesting to really annoying. And I didn't get nor do I remember being told about their extreme religious views. I got more of a Little House on the Prairie vibe. I learned all that here. And it's fascinating and appalling. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
  4. Dom wuz robbed. Loved her look. I will not think of the Disney Tink again. They've bastardized so much. Alexanders's design was not as bad as whoever's it was who got sent home. And Kesha? When you're talking? unless? you're asking a question? Don't uptalk. I hate that more than vocal fry. At least with vocal fry I can pretend the speaker has a medical issue.
  5. Holy crap! You're right!"A Previously.TV forum poster going by the screen name MrsJumbo reports that she saw Josh and Anna Duggar passing their baby daughter, Meredith, back and forth while they chatted with another couple at the Springdale, Arkansas furniture store. They were reportedly there with Anna’s sister Priscilla and her husband, David Waller, who were likely in town for the Easter holiday." Hey, at least they gave credit. That rarely happens. We can say we knew MrsJumbo when...
  6. I don't suppose that this is an April Fool's joke? Lot of suck in those pix.
  7. I didn't realize it was linen. Not very forgiving unless you're able to own it. Once I heard beach towel...
  8. I preferred the episode with Benessa using a stapler to install a valance. Aja, hate to ask but did Mechelle act surprised when she received the coupons? Though admittedly she does often look surprised. Drugged too maybe. "Oh! I can put these in a drawer..." Those poor editors. And production crew!!
  9. That IG photo is actually quite nicely composed. Does Sierra need an event photographer?
  10. But there's that pitbull tenacity the Duggars seem to have. Rictus smiles, spousal death grips, and all. Hey, they can even birth their own babies. Kind of. Are the Bateseses (lol) smart enough to steer clear of the Duggar offerings?
  11. That's it! I barely recognized her and it's the eye pop! Still hating the hair.
  12. A belated Easter greeting?? Well, they look clean. That's an improvement. And Jill should stick with having her hair down. Not everyone can wear that pulled back look and many can benefit from a little, cover?
  13. No Brian um, er, uh, Williams for awhile now. Did they have to get the hook? Luke doesn't seem to have grown into his father's shoes. No surprise there. I couldn't believe when they tried to shoehorn him into the coverage after his dad died. I didn't know he was wearing his preppy tie. Blech.
  14. I think the VS commercial manages to say, Hey guys! Don't you want your woman to wear something sexxxy like this? Get it at VS. And an unsuspecting woman receives something possibly inappropriate and probably uncomfortable and definitely suggestive for her b-day, v-day, xmas...
  15. Bolding mine. I was wondering that same thing today. I used to watch, and snark, on both Wife Swap and Trading Spaces and saw more than a couple performing traveling familes. Now I wonder how often religion drove their lives. And how much was plain laziness.
  16. She's learned that grifting works. Prison? Hm. Lose weight. Get toned. Write a bogus book.
  17. No kidding! Because info from you and Kromm and OakGoblinFly and others I asked for and received a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas. And I love it. And I love the added bonus of reading outside. Plus it's really lightweight. The operations seem a bit clunkier and slightly less responsive than tablets but I'll take it for the eye ease. I was badly amazed to have ads pop up so emailed Amazon Customer Service and, I'm assuming because of my buying history, within minutes the ads were gone. Thanks, all.
  18. It appears that with the Duggars, and other scary culty fundy groups, unless they are found doing something illegal they are left alone. Otherwise it can just sound like gossip and innuendo. And it usually has to be a pretty big illegal somethng for the system to come knocking. Religious freedom can play a mighty big role in not pursuing some offenses. And the secrecy w/in some cults can thwart invesigating some pretty awful things.
  19. And after that seemingly botched delivery I can't say that I blame her. Yikes! Tacos, whether sold for a good cause or not, are not an item I would choose to eat with the cameras rolling. Bin's mouth was practically at plate level with each bite.
  20. I think the jury is still out on the Dollar-Tree-dishes-have-lead-in-them issue. My understanding is that any clear or cut glass is fine and if dishes have dishwasher/microwave safe on their bottoms they should be aok.
