Wanna know who BriWi has as a guest? Clay Aiken. No joke. Right after Alicia Quarles. ETA: Aretha Franklin calling in! -

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I look forward to the pig ad. Vocal fry? That? I can think that maybe? it's medical? But uptalk makes me freaking nuts. -
Please tell me he didn't do the part of Billie Joe in American Idiot. I watched about 15 minutes of From Justin to Kelly. Reminded me of a Lifetime movie but not as good.

One of the saddest story arcs ever. When applecrisp asked which shows haunted us I couldn't think of one but the Macumber case really sticks with a person. And that "good clean finishing shot" guy. ETA: And Russel Faria. I have certainly become more careful because of my ID viewing habits. Not paranoid just more aware and alert of my surroundings. I think that's a good thing.

Dear god. We're doomed. That man never sleeps. And if he does it will be in his office. -

She looks really needy. As usual. And bus-Gigi looks really lost. As usual. Good job!, Yo. -
I had not had MJ on in years but as the primaries heated up I decided to give it a try. And all I could do was stare at Joe and wonder, what the hell has he done to himself? Maybe the glasses compress his eyes and lengthen his face. That pompadour is ridiculous. And his skin looks airbrushed-flat. He looks very odd. Maybe that's why Mika stares at him. "Who are you?" Nah. She's just a twit.

I think my favorite is Fear Thy Neighbor. I don't usually much like reenactments but theirs aren't as over the top as others. Is there another neighbor one? I think I like it too. Unless it's a 48 Hrs, or 20/20 or Dateline I don't just keep ID on like I used to. Some of their shows are just too lurid. I tried to see them as campy but they just still squicked me out.

Bolding mine. I remember this show and even posted about it on the MSNBC "Networks" thread ( didn't know there was a dedicated MJ thread). I still can't figure out who thought that broadcasting Joe from a plane was necessary. And I still can't figure out why I care.

Bold mine. I don't know how much she can make selling her crap at, mostly, discounters. But this HuffPo blog item mentions that if sales targets are hit Seagram's might have to pay her "contingent considerations". I think that also means that if those sales targets are not met there are "liabilities" in play. So I would say that both playing nice and being businesslike are in her best interests. But it appears she can do neither. “In March 2011, we acquired the Skinnygirl ready-to-drink cocktail business,” the company’s website states. “The acquisition included inventory and identifiable intangible assets. In addition to goodwill, we recorded contingent consideration, which is based on the achievement of certain sales targets. In future periods, the Company may be required to record contingent consideration in an amount not in excess of approximately $25 million. Any change in the Company’s estimated liabilities for contingent consideration will impact operating income in future periods.” -

I think that the 2 true-crime things that make me the craziest are crime scene destruction and prosecutorial misconduct. Sad that a DA finally got it "right" for an unsympathetic plaintiff. Many many more are out there.

Bold mine. I do too! I only know her from Entourage so was confused when her intro didn't include that credit. Then I barely recognized that pulled-tight face and thought I might be mistaken. I can barely remember her critiques 'cuz I kept trying to figure out why she looked so different. But I do remember being very disappointed with her take on Sam's design. I think those pegged legs helped his crappy design but not enough to keep him safe. I loved seersucker when I was like 8 or 9, I think. I'm glad I haven't decided to relive my youth with bleeding madras and seersucker. Hm. Anyone seen my water buffalo sandals?

Gil Bates is a real chump, er, champ. bold mine. "Not only does Gil bring to the Board a wealth of practical wisdom on marriage and training up sons and daughters, but he also has a marvelous testimony about combining prayer, initiative, diligence, creativity, and patience in providing for his family. This has included a large home, a tree-trimming business with special equipment, and family transportation—all without a steady income and no debt!Gil and Kelly have taught their children how to be each other’s best friends, love family responsibilities, and maintain a grateful spirit. Over the years, they have taken their financial needs to the Lord and watched God provide opportunities for work. This has taught their children to have great faith in the Lord." It's like they're proud of not having a steady income! Maybe it's supposed to be evidence of higher godliness. "The first chairman was Dr. G. A. Hemwall, a physician in Oak Park, Illinois, who served on the Board for 37 years until his homegoing in November of 1998. Soooo, homegoing is dying? Right? And of Pastor York we learn: "He is married to his high school sweetheart, Brenda, and they have eight children and fourteen grandchildren. Their last four children are reversal babies. Pastor York has been faithfully serving his church (now as the lead pastor) since 1992. The success in the marriages of his older children and his success in ministry bring to the Board an important aspect of counsel and guidance." I'm afraid to ask but what is a "reversal baby"? And these are the nutjobs Josh worked for?

I think she saw it coming and doubled down on her Lymes in the hopes of having another broken prenup because of medical care issues. If that was indeed her winning hand with Mo. I can't imagine how exhausting she must be to not only live with but to just be around.- 6.8k replies
