  1. Maybe had she approached it from a different angle."I had to sleep with the Seagram's staff to seal my deal. And then I had to do even more to be able to be the face of SkinnyGirl. I'd rather not talk about getting placement in Whole Foods. And then they booted my SkinnyAss! Toxic, pfft. "Let's work to change that culture!" As it was? Just another example of Bethy the Uncouth. imho
  2. I don't think he was canned but rather started a production company overseeing his HW kingdom. I don't know if he still does but for quite a while he kept his production company's offices at Bravo. I think it was actually an upward move as opposed to lateral. It's difficult to imagine Andy not airing something juicy. Lisa's one of the reasons I don't pay as close attention as I once did. I think Kyle had it right with the Bobby Fischer comparison. To me LvP is coldly calculating and manipulative. Way beyond common decency. imho
  3. Howard Stern pulled that trick on American Idol judges back in 2003. It was hilarious. Love to see, especially, Isaac and Georgina get "took". So disappointed in Zac's judging. I expected more. At least he didn't, or we didn't see him, respond to Sam's little twinkle-wave. Wish they were still doing the pinch and pull portion.
  4. "YET……….even when David and I felt bone weary and could not believe we were having to deal with yet another “strong – willed” moment in our son, we would (by God’s grace and power) consistently correct it every time. We tried not to let the “little errors” go by, but rather show him the error of his ways with each and every small and big thing. With some children, you feel that you just correct a few times and they magically just “catch on”. With others, consistency time and time again is crucial!! As they grow, you should see a growth in them in their understanding of their erroneous ways and you should see growth in their spiritual lives. It has NOT come easy in the life of our Timothy, but I can say, he brings us SO much joy now. Nope. Not just you.
  5. Bold mine. It was if the intention was to get the heck away from that family. I bet Derick is in almost constant pain, low-level or otherwise. And I further bet he's not eating well.
  6. Maybe he's preparing for the eventual comb-over? Poor kid(s). Which one is this? Maybe he's gittin' the extra TTC. Do they have a gym?
  7. I have not read The Things They Carried but have a NamVet friend who recommends that book any time anyone asks him what it was like.Every, I think, Memorial Day NPR presents a reading from Things and it is incredibly moving. In my quest to read as much NordicNoir as possible I just finished I'm Traveling Alone by Samuel Bjork. If it's the first in a series I will read more. Very fast-paced with interesting characters. Seems like many NN books invoke some kind of mysticism/esp/otherworld as a storyline. Not a topic I usually enjoy but I'm not finding it as intrusive as I once did. Though I have rolled my eyes a couple few times.
  8. So, nice way to support a fellow journalist, Mika and Joe. Oh, that's right! They aren't really journalists. Silly me. Secret Service is one thing. And Mika, shoved is a bit different than grabbed from behind, imho. Donny? Stuff it.
  9. Oh, I don't think it's unfounded. But I'd like to see her reaction if someone called out her skeletal Adderalled ass on camera.
  10. Bold mine. I was concerned that someone might try to pronounce it.
  11. Ditto paying attention. And this was an interesting show. Always helps when the herd is thinnedBut EW "reports" that: "She introduces Yvonne Niami, the founder of N:Philanthropy, a women’s line that gives a portion of its proceeds to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The winner of the challenge will design a look for N:Philanthropy. But the brand is also giving the challenge its inspiration. Yvonne says the “N:Phil” girl is modern and sophisticated, but she fights with a purpose. They call her a “rebel with a cause.” And that’s exactly what the designers have to do. Alyssa gives them $250 for Mood and one day to create fashion-forward summer looks that are sophisticated but have a bad-ass edge.". Collaboration it is!
  12. Bold mine. Sounds to me like Zika might be one for YoYo to consider. It's got legs. I have gotten such a kick out of the Ally Hilfiger appearance and have actually wondered what happened to that little twit. And there she was! Twitting! Her iMDb. Looks like her projects are easily bought. Now I need to find some Rich Girls dvds, or something. I think Ally and Jaime were more stupider than Paris and Nicole.
  13. I did't recognize her at first and was somewhat startled when I realized it was Alyssa with spackled on or airbrushed makeup. I kind of liked it but that pic... BoF did cross my mind. Why was everyone raving about Ken's top? Big deal. Halter. And the pants? As Ken stated, his model could walk in them. Doesn't mean anyone would want to with those floor-dragging hems. I'll have to look again but it looked like he even extended the hems? Loved Emily's and was concerned that her outfit might not be as easily manufactured as Kini's and might lose for that. Kini got a shitload done. Sam pulled that seersucker at Mood and all I could think was, Dear God, he's going forward with seersucker? Asha's model looked like she was stashing a hardcover book in her abs region. And back by her ass. Summer my ass.
  14. Just like pointing out how thin Jules is her, Are you high?, remark to John is not only incredibly rude but, uh, pot meet kettle?
  15. She looks like a double amputee in that wanna-buy-this-outfit look. Or like that Project Runway look that the model had to drape over her shoulders when the fit was all wrong. When is all this crap going to bite her in the ass?
  16. Wow. I'm not sure which word to use first but reprehensible fits.
  17. I'm hoping the "schedule cake" rewards chore completion with a slice of the tasty frosted treat. But I doubt that's it.
  18. Hey Joe! I don't give a flying fuck how the Cards are doing. Ditto the Cubs, Barnicle.
  19. Face time. That's sad. Kids haven't got a chance. I have not made it through an entire episode yet.
  20. And because of those "bonus" scenes my on-air channel guide describes the reairing of that show as "New". And I fall for it every time. I've been duggarized.
  21. Well there goes any defense that she was just playing a part on RHoNY. It was all production. Story lines. Who am I kidding? Betthhenny couldn't care less what anyone thinks. I know she's very wealthy but I'm not clear on which businesses she still controls. Wasn't the lions's share bought by Seagram's? Other Skinnies seem to end up on overstock/sale shelves. Is she going for zero body fat? Really not a good look. Stringy.
  22. Oh my. I don't know where I found that expression. Now I'm hoping it means something like "quick like a bunny"? (Not a Montel watcher)
  23. Ew. Thanks for the info, nowandlater. I was listening on Sirius and surprised I didn't recognize Kornacki's voice. It's quite distinctive. I guess that was his super-fanboy voice. I really think he could have asked King about somehing other than Trump, unless I missed that part. I didn't think that SK had drunk the kool-aid. Though now I do remember King taking some credit (?) for Perot's popularity and bingo bango, Let's compare and contrast with Trump. Got it! It was awful. I thought Kornacki was better than that.
  24. My god. Did anyone die on this project? At least they're honest enough to call it redneck engineering.
