  1. Another random thing I loved was Ben staring at his hands in awe after being knighted. During which, he quoted Game of Thrones, of course.
  2. I thought the interim mayor would be Leslie too, but it would be too obvious and way too momentous and touching of a moment for the lead character of the show when the series is not quite over yet, if that makes sense. Leslie is going to have a big moment in the last episode. Plus, I am just glad that Gary got his real, bonafide moment. Complete with a choir singing KC and Jojo. Not going to lie, I got a little misty. I had a lot of the feelings during the Johnny Karate show too. Sad that Tom wasn't there, he would have been showy and always got along with Andy. I did always love the Leslie and Andy friendship, so it was cool to see her host most of the show honoring him. Loved seeing Bobby and everyone else being interviewed for mayor. Hated Tom proposing, it is just going too far. Seeing him happy with Lucy in the end would have been good enough I think. Also, on a shallow note, I really noticed Donna/Rhetta's weight loss when she was in the cop uniform. She is looking good!
  3. Unfortunately though, in 50SOG, the woman gets to go through emotional abuse. In the other version, the woman gets to be an uptight shrew. We rarely win :/.
  4. I will go a step further and say Justin Timberlake is not funny on SNL. At all. Though that may be because I think he has a supremely punchable face.
  5. This show was a delicious hot terrible mess filled with unlike able people, except Uma and Thandie Newton. I think I will enjoy laughing at their pain for the next 8 weeks.
  6. This is his third yearly tv. I miss the first year, when he was just the cute little bow tie wearing man who was offering to help me with my taxes. They totally took away his initial appeal.
  7. " Iguess his wife had no friends or family? I found that difficult to believe. I also found her difficult to sympathize with when she kept whining about how she wanted him home. Did she not understand the job description of 'military wife'?" I agree with a lot of the movie's criticism, but this....makes me uncomfortable. Not going to lie, I am a military fiancé, but I am not one to agree with all of the military's actions. It is not my job, I never applied for it, and I do honestly oppose a lot of what is going on. We should be questioning all of it, not just being like, oh ok, whatever. So, I can't hate on someone's wife for wanting them home. I am probably not explaining this well, but it bugs me that people associated with the military are supposed to just be ok with everything, when in reality there are a lot of different viewpoints. It can be hard to deal with separation particularly if you are not ok with the reasons behind the separation.
  8. Not to be overly pc, but I really hope they don't go the transgender route with Rose. It is too outlandish and over the top a plot line, and if there are going to be more transgender people on tv, I would prefer they just be ordinary people, not villains using it as a way to go into hiding or something.
  9. I see way more people in my life saying that if you don't like American Sniper, you are a godless commie who hates Merica and the troops and should get out now. But I haven't seen it so I shouldn't comment. My UO is that I wish we had more media that showed the military as real people, not heroes or killers. Most people join as a career or a way to go to school, and some even have non-combat positions. I feel like it is always black or white, when that usually is not the case.
  10. Hmm. Jamie Dornan playing a serial killer goes along with my secret hope that the movie has the twist that Christian actually is a serial killer. Watch the trailer and tell me that twist wouldn't work better with the trailer's atmosphere.
  11. Honestly, I thought Carrie's whole desire for a small wedding initially with a non-designer skirt suit was wildly out of character. The whole Big needing to call her before and missing her was so ridiculously contrived too, it was like a plot out of an 80s sitcom. And the Miranda talking to Big stuff....come on, he is an adult with two failed marriages. THAT is what made him freak out? I am just going to pretend neither movie ever happened.
  12. I really really do not get the people thinking Ryan Gosling is hot thing, but to each their own.
  13. The same goes for the Chevy Back in Black douche. I always roll my eyes at the end of the commercial when he is driving his huge truck down some city street hitting every green light.
  14. I am wondering who could be cast as the inner goddess or subsconcious.ETA: I think these two hate each other and the movie as much as Robert Pattison hates Twilight. http://defamer.gawker.com/50-shades-of-sigh-the-disastrous-50-shades-of-grey-p-1683492446
  15. When I think of a guy who drives a giant truck, my first horrible thought is that they are overcompsenating for something. So yeah, give me a dude who drives a sedan and doesn't have to show off any day.
  16. If anyone wants to watch this for the lols, I recommend reading Jenny Trout's recaps instead. They are hilarious and point out how the relationship here is just straight up abuse rather than BDSM. I really hope this bombs, but from looking at my Facebook, I think it will do fine.
  17. I feel bad for poor fake David. He seemed like a good kid. I also felt bad for the ones who weren't in the church or whatever. They don't have Desmond to wake them up. Maybe Ben can do that once he sorts out his issues.
  18. Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone by posting that, I did not think of the racial overtones, and I apologize. If it helps at all, my favorite parts of it are the "have you been injured" and "have you had kids" questions.
  19. This thread defines my thoughts on Lana Del Ray. Her lyrics are maudlin and describe less than healthy thoughts on relationships, but I can't help liking her music.
  20. Yes, Madison was a victim in this instance, but I am more talking about how she acted in the whole Tony fiasco. Women are also capable of disliking other women for reasons other than jealousy. I think that may be one of Violetta's reasons for disliking her, but I seriously do not think the two would have gelled even if it weren't for that issue. I don't think that is the only reason why she is disliked. Ugh, now I feel gross for defending Violetta.
  21. Eh, I can't buy the whole sweet poor Madison just wants friends thing. I think she is attention starved, but her making out with Tony after buddying up with Alyssa says to me that the attention she wants is mostly male attention. She was acting like she was one of the wronged trio who was done with Tony, until he started paying attention to her. The other girls did too, but I think they are all idiots. She should have just stayed the hell out of it and realized that Tony is an asshole not worth her time. She also tends to edit herself to make herself look sweet. Like on the first day, she was telling Tony she was such a good girl who waited to have sex, but only slept with seven people! Oh, wait, no, she really meant only twelve. And the whole talking to Tony about leaving thing. Not trying to slut shame her or anything, but I think she wants to present herself as being a little ditsy innocent sweetheart who other girls are just big meanies to for no reason. I do give her credit for approaching Elizabeth this episode, but I am not going to lie, I would avoid her as much as I could if I lived in that house. Violetta is awful, and thrives on the idea of loyalty. I am not at all saying that Madison deserved what she got, let me make that clear. Violetta was pretty disgusting and should have kept out of the whole Tony conflict, other than laughing from the sidelines. But with Violetta's personality and Madison's victim complex, there was bound to be conflict.
  22. Also, poor Jason. He had really bad timing with asking Sylvia out, and then her just proving her own point about her being crazy and violent. That is, if we can trust the editing.
  23. I don't get the Rogelio/Rafael comparisons, they're kind of unfair. Rogelio actually has a personality! Sorry. No, I think Xo is being a bit hypocritical too, but she's Jane's mom. Of course she is going to be overprotective. She also sees Jane as her opposite, and wants her to have a more stable life.
  24. Tony is the worst. He was whining like he was the victim of the whole thing but basically hooked up with or led on all three women. It looks like next week he continues to not get it. Disappointed in Sylvia, but I still think someone needs to sit Madison down (nicely) and tell her that she is acting like a fool. I wanted to barf when she and Tony were cooing at each other. Violetta and Nicole need to stop with the purple lipstick, it is not cute.
  25. Nah, that makes a lot of sense, and I would prefer someone stay single, and Donna would be the best choice. I more want to see it because her family sounds fascinating, it will be a spectacle, and who knows, maybe Ginowine would show up again.
