Best episode of this season. Ava finally did something constructive with the students. Loved Janine admitting how hard it is for adults to make friends. The costumes were fabulous.

My guess is that Helm comes back in the next episode.

I thought that the involvement of the Police Chief was telegraphed early on. Not sure why Piet is so interested in Job's history. I read that the show has been renewed for Season 3.

I thought that this episode was royally confusing. For me, the jury is still out on Penny. I get that she is the "green CSI" but she was a bit much. No desire to see Catherine's daughter. I'd rather have an update on the "missing Grace" case. However, I'd love an update on Greg.

I really like the character of Nina and I hope she sticks around.

Just finished Season 7. I thought it was very well done - especially after the Donna Killick storyline in Season 6 which I did not like. I knew that Jimmy was leaving so each time that he neared the various bombs, I waited for him to blow up. So glad that TPTB gave him a nice sendoff. I wonder if Cassie and/or Duncan will appear in the future or if any mention of them is gone with Jimmy? Nice to see Julie Graham back as Rona. She lends a certain gravitas. I also like Billy for the same reason. My guess is that they will bring in a big-name actor to lead the cast. I'm here for Tosh and Sandy so hopefully there is a great mesh with them.

I read that as well. Apparently the actress who plays Madison then got Covid so the New Zealand-based actress who plays Beth was called upon for additional work. I liked the scenes with the 3 of them. I wonder if Beth will be around in any future episodes. I also read that the use of very vibrant colors (clothing, props, etc...) was a deliberate choice designed to emphasize a light-hearted approach to the mysteries. Now I notice all of the eye-popping colors in each scene!

Michael Trucco, Mary's boyfriend, starred on Battlestar Galactica. I really enjoyed this episode. Cracked up at Missy's reaction to Mandy having breakfast at Chez Cooper.

Not my favorite episode. I wasn't thrilled with the gold storyline.

I just watched episode 1 of season 3 and Madison is in it.

I liked seeing Sherri Saum from The Fosters as Catherine's ally at the hotel.
-
They just finished filming Season 2.

I love Melissa so the more focus on her, the better. Can't wait to see Barbara's face when she sees the new aide.

I liked it - light, breezy and great chemistry with the two leads.

Deadwind Season 3 on Netflix on October 29.

Still not loving Remy. He's too much of a cowboy for my taste. I miss Jess.

Finally finished the entire series. I didn't love this last season - I thought it was too slapstick and frankly, was fixated on Grace's hair and face which both looked decidedly different than earlier seasons. I had zero interest in any of the children and only fleeting interest in Sol and Robert. However, I loved the Grace and Frankie relationship - pure love.

I'm watching an older French show called Magellan on MHz Choice. Reminiscent of Midsomer Murders with a middle aged detective and his partner using brains to solve crimes in a very nice setting. Also deals with his role as single parent to two teenagers. Pleasant enough. Looking forward to Shetland Season 7 which should be starting very soon on Britbox.

If I remember correctly, Chestnut Man was pretty scary with some gruesome scenes. Try Bordertown (Netflix), Bron/Broen, The Killing (original version), The Valhalla Murders (Netflix), Beck. All are foreign, police dramas with good writing, good mysteries and some scary/graphic scenes.

Just watched the first two episodes of Season 3 of McDonald and Dodds. Brilliant and eccentric Sergeant teamed up with ambitious DCI solving mysteries in Bath. Well done.
-
I watched the first two episodes of the third season. Very glad that they switched Superintendents - and that this one seems to respect Dodds as opposed to wanting to have him retire.
-
The third season of McDonald and Dodds drops today on Britbox. Highly enjoyable.

This episode made me laugh out loud numerous times. Loved how Ava made her impassioned speech before the Board.

FYI - The 3rd series of the Icelandic show, Trapped, will be on Netflix in early September. It is called Entrapped.

Third series entitled "Entrapped" coming to Netflix on September 8th.
