  1. Third series entitled "Entrapped" coming to Netflix on September 8th.
  2. Agree about Trigger Point. I thought the writing was just so-so. Plus - the constant commercials on Peacock broke all tension and drove me nuts. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it. Really enjoyed Vigil and am looking forward to Season 2. ETA: Harry Wild renewed for Season 2 - per Jane Seymour on Instagram.
  3. Have we seen the undertaker in a previous episode? He looked really familiar. I like what TPTB have done with Gina over the past few episodes. They have completely turned her around once she stopped lusting after Mike. I enjoy this show a lot. I hope that they continue to make more episodes.
  4. Just watched Season 8, Episode 5 (Good as Gold). I actually like what they have done with Gina now that Mike is with Beth. I like Frodo but would prefer to see some of the other regulars.
  5. I loved the hats! Also loved the Guide's hair.
  6. Nandor and the wives seriously cracked me up. I also loved Nadja's glee at the impending vampire nightclub.
  7. Just finished a binge of this show. I thought it was pretty good - despite all of the commercials on Peacock which really broke up the tension. It was relatively easy to figure out the villain but I liked Vicky McClure in this role and am looking forward to Season 2.
  8. I finished my binge of Trigger Point last night. It starts Vicky McClure from Line of Duty as a bomb disposal expert. It was pretty good and has already been renewed for Season 2. My main complaint is that it is on Peacock and, even with my subscription, there are tons of commercials which really interrupt the suspense of the overall story. Mynextmistake: of the shows you mentioned above, I've seen Annika, which I really enjoyed and remember as a pretty quick binge. I am currently watching the new season of Brokenwood as well. I also liked Murder in Provence (3 episode binge on Britbox), The Chelsea Detective (on Acorn) and Beck (on MHz Choice).
  9. I think that this season is missing Breen a lot. Personally, I'm missing Mrs. Marlowe.
  10. Loved seeing the police chief from The Doctor Blake Mysteries with such a big role on Season 8, Episode 1 (he played the victim's ex-husband). Great to have Brokenwood back; nice to see Trudy, the priest and Frodo but I missed Mrs. Marlowe. I don't mind the new detective (whose name I can't even remember) but I really miss Breen. He added a lot to this show. ETA: Just watched Season 8, Episode 2 which I did not like as much as the first episode. (This was the one with the death at the Drum and Bass Festival.) Frodo seemed much less scatterbrained than usual. Among the regulars: Neil, the pharmacist, and Trudy but no Mrs. Marlowe. Lots of Chalmers, Breen's replacement, who was dull.
  11. On July 8, Trigger Point, starring Vicky McClure from Line of Duty, premieres on Peacock. Per their description: "A tenacious explosives officer in London must come to terms with the loss of her right-hand man all while preventing the next tragedy". I was trying to find out where this would stream in the US and tripped over the trailer. Also - watched the new episode of Brokenwood Mysteries last night. Just as good as always but missing Mrs. Marlowe.
  12. I'm watching Tatort Weimar on MHz. 2 German married detectives - some good comedic overtones and decent mysteries. Also watching Imma Tataranni, an Italian series whose main character is a deputy prosecutor. She is a force of nature who solves crimes while dealing with her teenage daughter and husband.
  13. I could not get past episode 1 of S3. ETA: Started Tatort: Weimar on MHz Choice. Rather light-hearted cop show with male and female detective leads. Part of the very long-running German Tatort series. (There are numerous other ones on this streamer.) Cannot wait for the return of Brokenwood.
  14. I enjoyed Ariana too - - but hated the bit where she went into the audience.
  15. I started watching Season 3 tonight. I remember it being ... better? It's okay but nothing special.
  16. I loved Wilkes in the early episodes. Then....they made him into a farce and a complete idiot. It's a shame.
  17. Beck... 8 seasons encompassing 25 years. Excellent detective drama. The Killing - original version.
  18. I've been watching Beck on MHz Choice. It is a dark Swedish police drama which has had 8 seasons so far - over the course of 25 years. There have been cast changes throughout the years but the quality of the series has not faltered. Quite addicting. It is dark - which I do not usually like - but the characters have been so compelling that I keep watching. Highly recommended. It may be available on other streaming services too.
  19. Just finished watching all of Season 1. Loved it. Cannot wait for Season 2. I originally started watching because of Sarah Lancashire but quickly fell in love with the rest of the cast and show. Have loved Judith Light since One Life to Live and she did not disappoint. Great performance as Blanche Knopf.
  20. I really liked the season finale. The oligarch was crazy and controlled serious weapons. Interesting move to target their families. Perhaps Ivan was not in the episode because he had no local family to target - - and thus nobody to be hidden away?
  21. Didn't Ram get married in an earlier season? No mention at all of the wife. Loved the whole season - - especially the wedding. This is such an uplifting show. I hope they continue to make more episodes. So glad to see Sister Mari happy.

    Season 04

I like Nina - both the actress and the character - and hope she sticks around after Maggie returns.
  23. I remember Wendy Moniz from Guiding Light. IMO, the show has changed a bit with the move from Jess to Remy. Remy strikes me as cocky, full of himself and a slight bit smarmy. It's not turning me off but it fits perfectly with how I usually look at Dylan McDermott roles. Jess was none of that. He brought a more cerebral process to profiling the perps.
  24. I watched the first episode of Alexandra Ehle on MHz Choice: quirky genius pathologist surrounded by a team of colorful sidekicks. I'd watch a second episode. In the middle of second season of Beck, which I am enjoying a lot. A bit dark for me but not terribly gruesome. Lots of interesting relationships among the team members. Season 8 is about to premiere.
  25. I watched the first episode of The Art of Crime and really liked it. I'll pick up the rest of it once I am finished with Tandem and Beck.
