I disagree about Sam. I think, since his journey started after his father made him abandon his right to family lands and title; I believe his full circle is to be given his family lands and titles back and taking up his birthright as head of his family. You also missed Gendry, and I believe he too, will survive and that his full circle is to be legitimized and to take the Baratheon house of power, the Stormlands. I also think that Arya will go with him. I don't think she is built for staying at Winterfell. She never wanted to marry a lord and have his children, but that was mostly because she wanted the freedom of being herself and being a warrior. Gendry loves her as she is, and wouldn't stop her coming and going and wouldn't force her to be a lady. Plus, she loves him.

I also try to remember that she is likely thinking about all the people she loves that she is about to loose......that can put a damper on things.

Did you see Pods face when looking at Jaime and Brienne..... he knows..... Pod, the Matchmaker! I don't think Jon will want the throne, he'd happily pass it off to Dany. However, Sam is hardcore in King Aegon Targaeryen camp, so I think he might just tell everyone in a major way, so that everyone knows there are options and try to get supporters behind Jon. I think Jon will only take the throne, the way he became KitN, because the majority want him.

agreed, but I also think that she doesn't believe that she deserves him either. Which is stupid, because she is an amazing person....but she lacks self esteem.

One of my favorite quotes from a urban Fantasy series is this(paraphrasing): Often times, a person has more than one truth behind their reason for doing something, and they only say the truth that gets them the desired result they want. Dany came to the North she saw the threat, and because she loved Jon. I think she went with the truth that she thought would help her bridge the gap with Sansa. It doesn't mean she chose the right truth, or the wrong truth. Its just the truth she chose.

Honestly, I don't think they going for the ugly girl trope at all. I think its clear that Brienne doesn't seek the company of men and would never choose someone just because he gave her attention. Just the opposite, she clearly is disgusted by Turmunds actions and behavior towards her. It creeps her out. On the other hand, she has loved two men her whole like. Renly, whom she never expected anything from, but treated her with respect and didn't treat her like dirt because she was a girl who wanted to be a knight. And Jaime, who, thought openly hostile in the beginning, respects her and admires her. I think that Jaime does love Brienne, but is afraid to love her.

I agree. I don't honestly think it matters who is 1st or 2nd in line for the throne. I actually think there won't be a throne left.

I think that likely only Robert and maybe Ned (thought his older brother and Father likely knew) that Rhaegar hadn't actually kidnapped and rapped Lyanna. If 3 people knew, and two of them are dead; the last person I.E Robert....can say whatever he likes and everyone will believe him because Raeger and Lyanna were to busy missing from action to be ably to defend themselves. We also won't know what Rhaegar told his men, because they all died or most of them did. My bet is if any of the survivors knew the truth, they probably knew to keep it to themselves. IMHO, I think Robert absolutely knew the truth, but he chose the narrative that allowed him to wage his war against the Targaeryens. If he choose the truth, his options were to be a jilted man spurned by Lyanna Stark, and have all of Westeros know that she ran out on him for another man and the Starks broke faith and say or do nothing about it; or go to war with the Starks, his best friends family, over it. Robert doesn't seem the man to idly sit by why the woman he covets runs away with another man. We also know, from Gilly reading the diary, that the Maester who annulled his marriage and married him to Lyanna did it in secret. So no one knows about it.

This is a big and important distinction. Also....maybe Dany is acting weird because she already suspects she might be pregnant? This! Thank you! There are always exceptions, loopholes, and distinction. I was doing a basic layout of how succession works. There are always going to be cases where it is not the case, however the basic line of succession stays the same. Unless something happens like Jon abdicating his right to the throne and supporting Dany, dying, they agree to split the continent (unlikely), the current government is over thrown for another system. It stands to reason that Jon is next in line for the throne because he is the last living child of the first born. I do wonder this. I don't see Dany wanting to play by the rules. The question I think is, now that she knows she actually is not the rightful heir to the throne, she now needs to decide if she even really wants it or if she was only trying to take it to honor her family as the last Targaeryen. I think, if she decides she really wants it, nothing not even Jon would stop her.
