What an awkward conversation. Watching Kat desperately trying to save face was embarrassing.  I wish she had cut it short. Having Christie listening in from the next bed didn't help.

I loved that Christie couldn't even pretend to be taking a nap like she said she wanted to - she just had to pop up and say, "Well, that's something to think about!"

I can't help it. She makes me laugh [unintentionally].

Sorry if this has been posted but did Tommy take Christie off the block already? Wasn't sure if that actually happened yet. And, will we be shown Kat (assuming it's Kat) joining Jack in the jury house this week? New to BB and wasn't sure how much of JH we see.

I hardly ever bother to do these BB voting things but I was all on board for this one.  Get one of the 6 to sit on the block?  Sign me up!

Meanwhile what a waste of my time.  And yours too, since most of us voted similarly.   So of the highest vote getters, Jack gets eliminated on Thursday, his votes don’t count, Tommy wins HOH, his votes don’t count.  Thankfully that awful Christie gets put on the block, yay!  Oops, Tommy wins Veto and takes her down. Christie’s votes don’t count.  Analyse and Jackson can’t go up, because the Field Trip twist doesn't allow replacement nominees.  Their votes don’t count

Another brilliant twist.   I won’t be fooled again!

He did. The veto meetings generally happen in the late morning/early afternoons on Mondays Big Brother time.

I guess it was such a foregone conclusion that Tommy was going to take Christie off the block that none of us even mentioned it. (I just noticed Nashville did post it in the Summary thread, which is always a good place to check.)

And I agree with what somebody upthread said. Tommy really had no choice. If he didn't use veto on her, she was likely to have a volcanic meltdown that could have very possibly ruined his game.  Not that I wouldn't have loved that.

Uh oh. Kat's already at the, "Why do I even want to be here? None of these people really care about me," stage of nomination/eviction.

Kat: "I literally have to sell my soul."

Kat: "I'm tired of people cornering me and asking where my head's at. Why am I trying to impress these people?"

Uh...

ETA: Ha! Jackson's refusing to stage a fight with Kat because he's "already America's least favorite player."

Kat threatened last night to just up and leave rather than go to the jury house if she gets voted out because she doesn't see the point: you're not on camera 24/7 and there's no DRs or anything to make you relevant. It would so boring to be in jury. I think threatening to walk out on jury is, like, number three on the Six Stages of Grieving Your BB Game checklist.

Has she taken to her bed yet for Death to take her?

We see the jury segment on Thursday shows. Say Kat is voted off this week we will probably see her joining Jack in the jury house next Thursday  (8/22).

Sure he does! - whenever someone thinks to remind Nick how much he loves and misses Bella.  😆

I never get the feeling she's on BB for the money. Exposure seems to be her reward. What's that about? Is she concerned about her career, or does she just like being on camera?

Taran said today that Kat figures that AFP will be either her or Cliff. I can't tell if she's being conceited, or just realistic.

Kat's here to spin her short TV fame into more Instagram followers and (hopefully) more exposure in whatever industry she has her heart set on is my guess from what she and others in the house have said. She seems a lot more realistic about what BB fame will get her than most. Normally it would annoy me because I hate people thinking BB is a launching pad for anything more than maybe another reality show appearance at most. But Kat did her homework and at least educated herself about the game, the history, and how its played before she came in the house. That's more than most of them do. I remember BB17's Jeff in the storage room, getting the Veto and how it worked explained to him after the second or third Veto comp.

Although I kinda miss laughing at the idiot HGs that thought they would be walking red carpets after this. Yeah, only if the conference room at the Holiday Inn the latest reality TV "expo" is being held in has a red carpet. Otherwise get used to signing autographs in a bar on a Wednesday when they can't get the strippers in because there's no money to be made.

Nah, Kat's smart and she's caught on through the DR that "conspiring bitches" is a thing. Combine that with knowing that she isn't boo hoo sob HAAAATED BY AMERICAAAAA wah! like Christie because she didn't get voted on the Field Trip, the fact that she and Cliff get a lot of DRs, and that she's been a pretty big part of the "story" in the house lately, I'd say realistic. Like I said, she did her research.

You're right, I forgot the way some houseguests get way more DRs than others, and can get a sense of who's getting the most TV time.

And I have to admit, Kat is just really likeable. I think most people expected her to be boring, and obsessed with makeup and extensions. Instead, she's unpredictable and funny and self-deprecating. And definitely smart.

As far as some up thread wondering why Anal got chosen (actually maybe I saw that in the episode thread) I heard many were voting for her and I suspect it was because she is an end table who is not worthy to make it to the end. Also probably because of her ties to Jack.

I think I made a comment about that (It could have been someone else as well.).  What I was wondering was not so much why she got chosen.  But more why was she chose over Holly who has been far more visible (Especially seeing how Holly was HOH that week).

I guess it would have to be her ties to Jack and as someone else pointed out, the live feeders voting for her.

Ties to Jack plus I think she's seen as way more loyal to the Six Shooters in general than Holly. Holly would now take out Christie and Tommy if she gets the chance. And Holly doesn't really mutter how much she wants to hit/maim/choke people out of frustration. At least I haven't seen it.

I guess they got a booze delivery tonight (yawn). And in true BB21 fashion, they chose the most boring option: save the booze to drink tomorrow afternoon by the pool. But Big Brother told them that they either had to drink it tonight or it would be taken away. ("Noooo! Not my single can of not-really-beer!")

It's... as exciting as you thought it would be. For, like, 30 seconds, Analyse was really entertaining because she asked Big Brother to play some music for them because it's Day 50-something in the house AND SHE STILL DOESN'T GET HOW IT WORKS.

Nothing really matters.

Christie is in control of this house.

Christie doesn’t want Kat and knows she’s a bigger threat. Christie has manipulated everyone’s minds except, Jackson, Holly and Kat.

Cliff will make his deals this week to save his skin and he will owe Christie and Tommy one.

If the three that want Christie out can move now , this week and ensure Cliff goes.... then its one less vote from here forward for Christie/Tommy.

If Kat leaves this week, Christie or Tommy are the winners of Big Brother 21.

When the spineless remaining HG look back at this point of this week and then once they realize the CT relationship , they will be so profoundly ashamed of their game play.

I do believe production is giving them all clues and possible twists to make it hit the fan and yet they cannot see past their insecurities.

The most insecure are the ones that are hiding and hoping all the way to the finish line.

For the record, everyone except Nicole (who left because she works with children and is smart unlike Nick) and Jackson (who has now joined the HoH crew but was working out for most of it) were up in the HoH room playing Never Have I Ever but since that was just an excuse for Nick to get raunchy and Cliff to admit to butt stuff and sex on a Jet Ski, I was like Nicole and became the Nopetopus and nope'd the fuck out.

Cool octopus though! It's nice to have something to make me chuckle, given its my third night in a row of seeing 4 am, thanks to my lifelong cursed insomnia flaring up.

Christie and Nick were arguing about the best way to go down on a woman in a step-by-step fashion. Nick was super offended and claims that any girl he has ever done it to has never complained. Christie: "Do you have a vagina?" (Preach.)

Holly and Jackson are being judgmental on the other side of the feeds (the whole reason I turned it back on) because Nick said to Kat that he knows Kat would sleep with him and Jackson is all flabbergasted that Nick would say that because Kat definitely would not. I think Nick has also propositioned in a roundabout way Analyse and Tommy as well as Kat.

To be fair, Kat did say to Jackson the other night that she doesn't like Nick and she's told Holly a few times that she thinks Nick is inappropriate (not her exact wording). There was delicious irony in Jackson and Holly whining that everyone in the HoH room was being gross and raunchy and over the top. Yes, that same Jackson and Holly that have fucked in the same room that other people are in among other things.

Besides we all know she's saving herself for Brett.

I think that’s why the praying was weird. Like, you need to thank God for this food but I wonder if He would approve of you having sex w/2 different women within a week or so.

But I guess people draw their own lines.

So Jackson can’t vote off Cliff in good conscience.

Still trying to figure out Nick ... is he trying to be a cool kid or maybe a porn star??? Or .... ?

Apparently no additional discussion regarding Christie living 3 exits from Tommy ...

Still wondering how these people would have been perceived if the initial alliances were broken up differently.

Have we heard Jackson pray before?  He did before eating tonight. I know he told Christie once he was praying for her soul or some shit.  I find it....curious.

I've seen him pray before eating at least once before.  It was when he made himself a nice plate of brussel sprouts and something else for breakfast one morning.  He was completely by himself and it was obvious he was praying before he ate it.

So, we had an unexpected houseguest of our own sleep over last night - a friend of my wife’s who’d blown a tire late in the evening.

And because our spare room is in an inordinate degree of remodeling disarray, our surprise houseguest ended up bedding down on a sofa in our living room - where our TV resides.

All which means I did not have the opportunity to watch BBAD last night like I normally do - and judging from descriptions like the one above, that may have been a saving grace.

So I guess I owe my wife’s friend a kiss next time I see her - but for now, we’ll leave the butt stuff optional.

So, I hope this Thursday's HOH is the Slip n Slide because Jackson has the best chance to win that.

I hate that I'm even rooting for anything Jackson, but here we are. He seems to be one of the only two willing to put Christie up (Nicole is likely the other one).

Jury house footage just kinda depends on if they need filler or not.  Generally we see the jury house after the 2nd person get theres, so likely chances are we'll see it next Thursday. But there was at least one season where we didn't see it until about 4 people were already there.

He might just get the greatest redemption story of the season if he continues to gun for Christie.  He was really likable the last episode.

And to whomever said certain people weren't comp beats. There are no comp beasts this season. Even Jack sucked at comps.

Jack was excellent at the mental comps, believe it or not. Out of all the houseguests, I never expected Jack and Jessica to excel at the mental competitions.

But yeah, it seems like everyone's competition abiliities are on par. Everyone has either won something or gotten second in a comp, even Analyse and Nicole.

Ordinarily I’d agree - but Jackson is still fussing daily about how much his ankle is paining him, so I’m not sure how well he’d do right now.  Think I’d probably have to give Anal an edge over Jackson in the slip-n-slide at present.

Goddamnit, Jackson! I forgot that he injured his ankle earlier this season (I barely remember how he injured it because they never showed it during that comp when it happened).

Sis has a good chance, but I can also see her falling a whole bunch of times. I know she had great balance for the last endurance competition, but that kind of balance is different than skating up and down a slope.

At least that's better than BB19, when the Slip n Slide was a VETO COMPETITION THAT WE NEVER GOT TO SEE ON THE FEEDS.

What happened with the Slip n Slide on Season 19? I think the one I'm thinking of is Season 20 when (I think....) Fessy won but did it so fast that it was over before you knew it.

The Slip n Slide for BB19 was a veto competition. So, because of that, they cut the feeds and we never got to see it for ourselves. We only saw the highlights from the episode (Julie ended up showing a montage of everyone, like Raven, falling during the live eviction show that week). Jason ended up winning that week (he was on the block) and I think it was Mark who ended up going home.

I'd rather a fast slip n slide than one that's never shown at all.

Stupid Nick would probably knock out the slip and slide no problem. Ugghhh. Good news is that Christie will fall on her face. Holly and Kat might be good. Cliff might as well. I'd think Nicole and Jess would be like Christie and fall all over.

True.  But I'm hoping there was enough outrage last year that they make it a little harder this year.

Especially since we don't get to see the egg and chicken wire comp anymore.

If Kat does end up staying, I think she'd intentionally throw the comp for more air time. She'd probably much rather get the funny edit of her falling a bunch than to actually try and win, especially if Jackson is in the lead.

I don't know. Nick's on the shorter side and he didn't do well at the last endurance comp. He might do alright, but I don't see him beating Jackson. He might get second or third, but I'm not so sure he'd win.

Cliff has no chance of winning because of his injuries. I don't see him doing well at all. He'll be taking his time for the sheer fact that he won't want to fall and injure himself more.

I just can't bring myself to root for Holly or Jackson's in any form. Their new MO is to complain about everything and everyone. Two of the four feeds are always them isolated, telling each other they're so much better than "The Cool Kids." And they've really started to play up the romance, "How am I so obsessed with you? You've changed me!" angle since Jackson realized he was one of America's Least Favorite Players.

Worse than it being absolutely insufferable - even more so because we know Jackson blames everyone else for ruining his reputation (don't you guys realize he has cousins?!) - it's one hundred percent boring.

Yep. They ended up cuddling last night.

No surprise Bella finally got fed up with her BB boyfriend trying to screw some other person. I'm just surprised it took THIS long. You'd think, after the weird Tommy stuff, that she'd be done.

Either way, good on Bella. I thought Bella made some major mistakes and wasn't a nice person, but I even feel for her when someone she cares about, and who directly asked her to be his girlfriend before she was evicted, is flirting with two other people on the feeds.
