I feel bad that the "adults" in Alana's life got her hopes up about DWTS leading to future roles because she was honestly so bad on that show, there was no chance it was leading to anything more.  It was a fun summer experience and they should have just presented it to her that way.  Which leads me to my next complaint about these awful people, why does everything have to be a possible employment opportunity?  It's bad enough that June does it, why start that shit with Alana too?  The girl is 15, she doesn't need to worry about where her next job is coming from.

Has Gina had work done since we last saw her?  Her face looks different.

Not even a bit surprised about the arrest or the fact that they're both so nonchalant about it that they're out at the casino days later.  Is there anyone over the age of 18 (other than Josh and Pumpkin) associated with this family that doesn't have some sort of record?

I'm glad Alana got to be on DWTS Jrs. I think a physical competition that was fun was a good thing for her, and she did bring personality and effort to it. Given her size, I never expected her to be fleetfooted, but she did try, and she does have appeal, which is why she got as far as she did.  Basically, she comes across as a good kid with a lot of spunk and exuberance, which is a plus in child performers.  So I could see her having some success on kid oriented shows, such as what Disney and Nickelodeon put out, or at the very least, stunt cameos in comedies, it's not unrealistic.

And June, if you *are* doing crack cocaine, you'd better hope to God you aren't pregnant.

And this is why that whole family is screwed in the head. There’s absolutely no personal responsibility no matter how bad the situation is. The call she made for the car just doubled down on the idiocy, which only was topped off when they went to the casino together after. I think she's covering for him. He has a history of drug abuse, street drugs. With his arrest and prison record, I'm not sure if he is on probation and working on a strike three. 

It does get worse, with the latest reports saying Geno threatened to kill June.

I agree with some of your points but disagree with others.  I, too, think a physical competition was a good thing for Alana as she absolutely needs to be around kids her own age doing something fun, but I disagree that she has appeal and brought personality to the show.  I think she lasted as long as she did because people were mesmerized by her, and not in a good way.  More like people not believing what they were seeing and couldn't look away.  At least that's how I felt and that's what I believe many of the viewers felt.  There is absolutely no appeal to this child and her personality is obnoxious.  And yes, I realize this is a child that I'm being so critical of, and I don't care.

She CAN come across as a good kid, but I think those moments are few and far between, at least when the camera is on.  Her ego is as big as her stomach.  Spunk and exuberance, yes, I'll give you that, but too often spunk comes across as bratty.  It wasn't shown on this episode, but on DWtS, Jr. she was an absolute snot to Tristan and the adult pro, who's name I can't recall at the moment ..... that they showed.

I can't see her being cast in any shows because she doesn't know how to behave around normal people.  I'm totally serious about that.  Have you ever seen her and June on any of the talk shows?  I realize those were a few years ago, but still, just from her being on DWtS, Jr. it was obvious she's socially-stunted; she just doesn't know how to interact with people other than her family.  I don't believe a director of any TV show would put up with that.

I realize it may seem I'm over-thinking all of this and coming down really hard on this child, but I just can't stand to see someone (June) screw up a child's life (Alana) so badly.  Sure, she has potential to improve, but she needs to get out from under her mother's influence first, and I don't see that happening as long as this kid brings in the big bucks.

June should be ashamed of herself.  Maybe she can reflect on all this while she sits in her jail cell.

I appreciate your kind opinion of Alana and hope you remember that the above is just mine, an opinion, right or wrong.

I'd love to see a reality show following June's time in jail.  And I'm talking 24/7 coverage.  I wonder what kind of reception she would get/will get in jail.  Maybe if she's out of Alana's life for an extended period, Alana will change her lifestyle and attitude and straighten up.

The show is edited, so the producers are giving us the loudest and most colorful moments of what they want the audience to see. I disagree that Alana doesn't know how to act around people. I think it's very clear that she has grown up, at least a bit, and now when they are showing her on camera around people not in her family, she acts much more maturely. When she is at home or around her family, of course she is going to regress.  I don't think she is a bad kid. I think she is a decent kid that hasn't had a lot of discipline. But she doesn't go out of her way to destroy people's property, steal, or hurt people.

I just watched a facebook live Pumpkin did. It was filmed while Mama June was in Alabama with her legal issues. Alana was with Pumpkin. Pumpkin referred to the place she was at as her home and it was not her mom's house. I can't say watching her, she is ideal, but it does seem Alana was staying with her and her husband and Ella at a different house. I just got the feeling, that Pumpkin is a 18 year old with a kid that has little education and not much real world experience that is trying her best but is so immature and has had no real role model to aspire to be like or to learn from.

The one thing I liked about this episode was seeing Alana's awkwardness when she was introduced to Tristan.  It was the first time I've seen her behave anything like a normal pre-teen/teen, and while it was cringey, it was at least something I could understand.  All her life she's around these trashy adults with their crude humor and disgusting habits, and she plays into it with her toss-my-hair I'm such hot shit charade.  Here we saw her for what she is:  an overweight girl meeting a boy who is good-looking and polite, someone she is going to have a sort of relationship/partnership with, and she recognizes that her "they're going to call it Alanaworld" shit won't fly.  She wants him to like her and recognizes that he's way above her pay grade.  And I think she was a really good sport for trying so hard (although it looked like all her "dancing" was strutting and shaking, depending on her dress fringe to suggest movement.  Whitney Thore ought to invest in some heavily fringed dance outfits).

Well, June herself was 15, I think, when she had her first kid, and she didn't come from a great home herself. The cycle continues. Hopefully Alana breaks it.

Does she have a mortgage on the house? Houses are not as expensive in GA and I thought she paid cash for it? I wonder now with what has happen if she was telling the truth but she said she was worried about being poor again and bought a reasonable priced home outright (i believe it was in the 200k range) and that is why is did not have fancy decor. I dont know, but she still would have to pay for taxes and such - maybe she can keep it, but it looks builder grade so she obviously didnt do any upgrades. The few times they showed the back yard it was just a concrete slab and no overhang for shade. 

I cant imagine Gina pushing this drug arrest story for money, I would think it would lose Gina money down the road.  But then again, I am not a skanky gross crackhead

Is it horrible that I hope June loses custody because I want that girl to have a shot in life. Learn some healthy life skills. Okay.....I'm embarrassed to admit this, but, I understand every word that June and the towing guy say in this recorded conversation. lol  I'm from the south.  A lot of people do speak that way. I think you develop an ear for it. 

  She sounds hyped up though.  Something is very wrong with her.  So....I pray that somebody has the brains or authority to get Alana out of her custody and control for protection.  Not sure where she would be safe really.  Just lots of bad news in that girl's life.  So sad.  I can't watch it anymore.

It's been over 30 years since I lived in the Florida Panhandle, but yeah I understand every word.  I worked with some customers who lived out in the country along the Alabama border and that's exactly how a lot of them sounded.  

I don't hope for Alana to end up with Anna.  Poor Anna was not educated nor street smart.  Jessica is a possibility or her Alana's aunt.  None of them are really great. 

Exactly, if WE cared about the family, the show would not exist.  They picked up June KNOWING exactly what she was/is.

OK, I was watching the Bridezilla rerun.      The daughter thanking everyone for their support is so unbelievable, and such bad acting.   And the WE TV statement, about we are monitoring the situation is so silly too. 

How much did June gain back?     And poor Pumpkin in that wedding dress unfortunately resembled a Pumpkin.   That's so sad in someone so young.   And Alana is sadly going to out gain all of them.   What are they planning, a family crossover to My 600 Lb Life?
