So Courtni Shea, who didn't make it back on the team, went back to the Texas legends Dancers. I notice in this picture that she is not wearing her DCC pinky ring. I wonder why she went back to the TLD's and if she's no longer associating herself with the DCC organization unlike some former DCC's who got kicked off or didn't make it back that seem to post DCC pics every other day.

In the second sneak peak which I have watched probably 3 times, I do notice that Kelli talks about how much she loves Samantha's dancing and Jacie and loves Jinelle but doesn't mention Holly unless that was edited so there may be a clue to who may be on point

They did the same thing last year. I can't remember if they waited just until the show started or until the squad was announced on the show, but the site wasn't updated until pretty late.

Season 9 is on iTunes for $19.99 HD and $12.99 SD for a season pass. I guess Kelli had a mandate to have a squad of 36 girls. I hope iTunes does not wait too long to have the episodes ready for download. Last year it took some of the episodes forever to come up for downloading. I hate watching on the CMT website because of the blasted commercials or the video would freeze up.

He was on The Bachelor and the winner was a woman by the name of Vienna Girardi.  He was then on Dancing with the Stars.  And THEN, Vienna went to the tabloids and sold her story as to their breakup.  And THEN, they had a interview with the host from the Bachelor to get both of their sides of "the story".  You can find that interview on YouTube.  It's hilarious because they are both fame wh*res.  And THEN, he was on Bachelor Pad and tried to make amends with Vienna.

Agreed on the iTunes business, @bigskygirl.  I hate watching the show on CMT because of the commercials and streaming complications, but did last year because I was too impatient waiting for iTunes to upload episodes (sometimes they took more than 48 hours, and I really needed to see who was cut and why before that, you know?).  When I went to the CMT website yesterday to see if they had posted anything new about season 9, when I clicked on MTT, it said the page didn't exist because the website was under construction.  Here's hoping at least CMT or iTunes comes through for us next week!

 

I wonder if they're holding off on releasing new Twitter accounts til next week as part of the build up for the season premier?  I agree that it would be nice for them to update the website, too.  Show Group is ancient, videos hardly work, pics are old, and when I clicked on MTT (before I went to the non-working CMT page), the poster for season 8 popped up.  Seriously, what's up with this?  Kelli is very marketing savvy, so I don't understand why the website isn't better maintained, even if the DCC are on Twitter and Facebook too.  At the very least, I'd expect to see a notice for the new TV season coming up (with pertinent info) on the home page, but it's nowhere on the site at all.  I understand that the Cowboys may not give the DCC as much funding as the organization might seem to warrant given its prestige and ability to attract fans, but couldn't they get an intern to do some of this website stuff for free?

Are you kidding? The DCC is crown of the Dallas Cowboys organization (the stadium being the castle). I so agree about the site. They gave it their own domain but don't have new interviews or videos. The where are they now disappeared and now it lists 3 former DCC's only. Such a shame. They had a gal that kept it up then they let her go.

The video player is horrible and the videos haven't been updated since 2012 , also they stopped doing those farewell blogs for retired cheerleaders i thought those were cool , the website looks good but there very little content on it !

I have little doubt that Jennifer K is a rare dancer and person for her to have been bestowed so many DCC honors already.  I liked her dancing and personality on the show last season, but I agree she's no dynamo in terms of social media presence (I wish Samantha was better at that, too!).  Jennifer K blew away every dance professional on the show last season.  I was glad to see so much of her dancing in her rookie season, but I'd like MTT to really show for a hot minute what she can really do, because it really must be extraordinary.  Looks like we might get a brief chance in the second episode with the solos (all the vets shown looked great!).  I find her getting the #1 solo spot more surprising than being appointed second group leader in her second season.  Since I've been watching the show, the honor has gone to Nicole Hamilton, Justine Phillips, Trisha Trevino, Ally Traylor, Whitney Isleib, and Jackie Bob, and most if not all were going into their final seasons with the team.  I think Jennifer K must be well liked by most of the girls to have been selected Rookie of the Year and second leader, but I wonder if Kelli and Judy showing so much favor to her is causing some resentment among vets, especially some of the more senior ones.  (It would be understandable--they are human, after all, and they all bust their asses!)  I would have thought Emma, Holly, or Sydney would have been chosen for the first solo.  In the preview, Kelli told Jennifer to show everyone how it's done, and I guess she did, since they appointed her second leader after that.  I noticed she was not front and center in Judy's Twitter pic of the squad photo setup, and I don't think she was one of the swimsuit cover finalists.  She's very pretty, with a flawless figure, and of course a stellar dancer, but I don't think she's one of their premier glamour girls yet, like Brittany, Katy, or Emma.  The editing was weird, but I recall last season that there seemed to be mixed reaction among the judges about her.  Although the scene made it seem like they were talking about someone else, one of the judges said "she didn't make it with me," and when the camera cut to Judy and Kelli, one was holding Jennifer's head shot and Judy's draw was dropping in surprise as she looked at the judge.  In the cameo shoot episode, again they didn't use names and it was edited in a way that makes it hard to tell, but when they showed Jennifer posing and then cut to Kelli & co, they were commenting on someone looking stiff in her pics. I think she will be one of those DCC who seems to get prettier every year as she grows into the glamour of it all, and gets more comfortable in front of the camera and in all the makeup and big hair.  

 

In other matters, I just rewatched a couple episodes from season 4 and I have to say, I'm struck by how the level of bling has risen on the rehearsals outfits.  The last few seasons have gotten so bedazzled!

Also i think the K&j let train 4 solos in valley ranch , ( see Sasha agent 2nd solo on youtube you'll see that she's in valley ranch and you can see girls in the back walking in back in the solos and i remember a vet before 2013 finals posted a pic in valley ranch where they hang pics of all the good solos from the year before on the mirror like when the put they old camos on the mirrors on cameo day ! (so maybe the do solos consultation or something ) so maybe they pick a solo they  know they liked also the person who goes 1st is usually retiring that year so maybe she's retiring this so they are getting all what they can get from her in her last year !

i don't get the appeal of Jennifer to Kelli , i know that Judy likes the girls who are classically trained in ballet better so she can do that super boring rock medley in show group !!

I wonder if they are doing this purposely, too.  They are always talking about how they don't want vets to "get comfortable."  Maybe they are promoting Jennifer K because they want to show the vets (and I guess as an example to "future vets") that just being around for awhile won't mean that you are considered the top DCCs. There will always be new talent coming in to compete with current DCCs that could take your spot on the team or on show group or in the front of the line up. (Not to take anything away from Jennifer's talent.)

Wasn't Jennifer Rookie of the year? I don't like her. Her twitter is boring....all of last years rookies have boring tweets come to think of it. Must be scared to death to post.

 

They're probably limited to what they can post on it. I noticed a lot of the stuff posted is usually promoting something (appearances, hair & beauty products, etc.) and the rest is boring. It seems to be that way with all dance squad members' twitters ( DCCs,  DMDs, TLDs, etc). How many times can a girl say she is so lucky/blessed to be on that team?

 

The powers-that-be probably just want to make it look like the girls are "connecting" with their fans which is BS to me. I've asked some of DCCs or DMDs legit questions  and most haven't answered back except maybe 1 or 2 .

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against JK. I can't tell if she is really that great because they don't show enough dancing on the show. I'm impressed with what they showed/what was said about her. MORE DANCING!

Brittany is a fearless funny twitter personality. Many of the newbies just don't seem to have any personality. k&j put the fear of god in them when they saw Chelsea for speaking her truth. Maybe that 's why they are like robots on Twitter

CMT is airing the Season 8, it's on now. There are several scenes that I haven't seen before. For example, they showed Danielle in the office. They told her the judges didn't pick her, but they did. And she needed to be a leader, lose some of the "fluffiness" (their words), and don't push it with her foot. I'm already sick of Morgan and this is only the second episode I've seen today.

OK just watched the show.  Saw Miranda from previous years trying out...didn't she go to Rhythm dancers?  Also look at one of the first times we see Kelli's book open, there are two numbers that have a green and one with a yellow large dot at the number?  Perhaps someone that was scouted?  A person to watch??  Should be interesting.  Of course, I am also watching the Season 8 on the TV!!  It looks like in the beginning segment, we see Hannah called into the office.  Hmmm!!!  Stay tuned!!
