Why shouldn't they have a double standard if they want? The making of a cheerleading squad, while very interesting (that's why we're here!), is not particularly important in the grand scheme of things. They're just picking 36 women to dance around on a football field in skimpy outfits. Personally I try not to get too emotionally invested in the idea of Fairness for an activity that is designed to make more gazillions for gazillionaires.
