I sort of think "much older" is overstating things. Amber's guy is "much older" as in "old enough to be her parent."  Leah's is only what, 6-7 years older?  That's huge if you're talking say 14 to 21, but to me the difference between 23 and 30 isn't that huge. Especially if he's an immature 30 year old, which seems likely if he's moving in with Leah's parents.

It appears that Leah's only standard for a partner is that the guy makes her feel desired. If this guy can sustain the energy it takes to daily build up her self worth, his employment, financial situation, looks, general character and personality are irrelevant. Just my take.

Although it seems easy to only have one task to do, the act of constantly reassuring someone of their value is exhausting and Leah will never find someone who can keep it up indefinitely, no matter what other standards she lowers to compensate. Yes, I am sure there will be a sex tape, but unfortunately (am I really saying this?), I don't think Leah has the hustle to leverage it into a mini empire the way Farrah did. I think hers will be amateur, grainy footage that gets sold to one of the many internet porn sites for minimal pay... The girl is lazy and lost without a man. Right now Leah has the perfect opportunity to get her sh*t together for her and the girls.  She could go to rehab, get therapy and then work out custody agreements with both Corey and Jeremy and then focus on herself and the girls.  Maybe even (*gasp*) get an education or a job.  Chelsea has a qualification and a job, Kaitlyn is going to college and even Jenelle is allegedly doing a medical course. But instead she's probably going to shack up with this new guy, make the girls tell him that they love them and complain about Jeremy/Corey custody agreements. 

Besides the girls, I feel the most sorry for Corey.  It has to suck knowing that your ex-wife has just divorced her second husband, is currently in rehab, has a new guy already as well as being the primary parent of the twins (or is it shared now?  I lost track).  Either way, it would be horrible watching Leah's meltdown from the sidelines, knowing that she is the mother of your kids.

Gracie and Addy just have next to no chance at all. Although I think both Leah and Corey love Gracie, they'll both always be distracted by Ali's needs, plus I think Corey might have a hard time looking at Gracie and not seeing the worst of Leah (both in looks and attitude) in her. I have no idea what kind of father Jeremy is/will be but he does not seem as devoted as Corey and I imagine Addy getting shuffled around amongst his extended relatives whenever she's not home with Leah.

Okay, I have a couple of questions based on what's in these articles:

 

1) Why would MTV hire Leah a personal trainer?  That has nothing to do with the show and only further adds to the what critics of the show have long decried about how unrealistically it portrays the lives of teen moms.  Real teen moms (or those now in their 20's) don't usually get personal trainers hired for them by someone (let alone by a major television network).  That makes no sense to me.

 

2) If what the articles say is true, that Jeremy offered Leah the chance to stay in their current home until she found a new place, then why the hell would she voluntarily move herself and the girls into her mother's home?  It can't be for the "free" babysitting; Leah's mom, Corey/his family, and Jeremy/his family all take the girls whenever already.  Plus, I would think Leah would want her own space and, most importantly, her privacy for as long as possible, especially if she's hooking up with a new dude.  Not only would it place undue and unfair burden on her mother by cramming not one, not two, not even three, but FIVE people into her mother's house, I would think it'd be super creepy to want to fuck your new piece of ass under your mother's nose.  I'm sure Mama Dawn doesn't have a mansion-sized house, so they're probably all practically on top of each other as it is.

 

And, unrelated to these articles, I see from all of your wonderfully well informed posts that Leah's family is very vocal on social media about her antics.  Just out of curiosity, is there ever any public dirty laundry airing from Corey or Jeremy's families?  I always thought Corey's father and step-mother seemed to be such grounded and sensible people, so I can't imagine they'd talk to the media as much or be very active on their own social media platforms, but I could be missing all of that.  Not sure about Jeremy's family, either, as well.

Third time is the charm, maybe? I read that his ex wife only had positive things to say about him, which is nice. At least she doesn't want to publicly put her kids' father on blast.

I think we've all thought about how many half siblings Leah's kids will have, but Has anyone ever thought about how many step siblings the girlses will have over the course of their lives? They'll be at their first job at Wal-Mart, and the cashier next to them will be like, "hey remember me? I'm Braxleigh, we were stepsisters for like 6 months when we were in second grade!"

Leah's birthday is in April, so asking her to go 10 months without getting pregnant is like asking Jenelle to quit smoking pot. Or like asking Kail to not blame someone else for her problems.

I find myself wondering.... would Leah really pop out another kid?????? The idea of her having four children at this point just blows the mind... but, given her track record, it seems entirely possible. Sadly.

I remember reading rumors around the time of deercamgate that she might be pregnant with Robbie or Jermy's baby, which obviously didn't happen but it made me wonder if she would really subject herself to the scrutiny that would surely follow. I mean, I don't think Maci, Kailyn or Catelynn were in the best place to have another child, but they were still a hell of a lot better off than Leah is if she had another right now. Mama Dawn enables Leah like it's her job, and I think most of the family probably just lets her do what she wants, because she's the cash cow. For Ali and Grace's sakes, I hope with all my heart that Corey gets full custody and Leah has only supervised visits. It may sound harsh, but I don't trust her or any of the Messers to do what's right for the girls, only what's right for Leah or what's going to make them a quick buck. Unfortunately, Jeremy isn't the dad that Corey is. I think he's still too much of a kid himself to really be an upstanding father to Adalynn. I do think that he should try to have as much custody of her as possible, and have his mom or one of his family members watch her when he's working. Pretty much anyone who isn't Leah.

Third time is the charm, maybe? I read that his ex wife only had positive things to say about him, which is nice. At least she doesn't want to publicly put her kids' father on blast.

 

Third time for him, third time for her [ETA: if they get married, which I know is premature right now].  She's living in rehab while he's living with her Mom. Why do I not have a whole ton of hope for them?  I mean I do wish them the best, especially for the girlses' sake, but damn... sure seems like a recipe for disaster.

 

I am also suspicious of exes saying a bunch of positive stuff publicly. It's way better than being negative but frankly I'd rather they say nothing. If he was so great, why are they exes? In my head I always hear "oh he's wonderful - you can have him!" (while she's secretly thinking "thank God he's someone else's problem now)

Jesus fucking Christ, Leah - I'm way behind on TM2 gossip and this shit is the first thing I discover.

You know, the nice part of me wants to feel sorry for Leah because she has this desperate need for men to validate her. Without one, she's nothing in her mind. That is very sad. However, she has three young daughters, one of whom has physical disabilities, so fuck you Leah.

I really hope Corey and Miranda gain full custody of the girlses. No matter what shit Leah and her family put out there about Miranda, she clearly has a genuine affection for them and they could offer them a much healthier, far more stable environment than Leah and her dick of the week.

I still maintain that Ali and Aubree individually are smarter than every single person on this show put together. I want them to become BFF's. Ali lecturing that lunchables aren't food and Aubree's husky little voice would kill me!

I'm going to hell for this but, um, baby Cheetos just isn't, well... cute. I hadn't really noticed too much until FaithsDad asked me why she looks like the troll dolls our daughters play with.

One side of my family comes from a long line of poor, uneducated white people. This side of my family jokes that it's the "WT" family (white trash). (Now, in the last couple of generations, we've all graduated high school and many have finished college and even graduate school, so it's a joke.)

That said, Leah & the Messers, you are making respectable white trash families like mine look bad!
