Yeah it’s a bit much to expect Shannon—in the midst of a nasty divorce—to be all “there there, it’s going to be ok” and to expect Vicki to give ANY kind of humane advice.

OMG.  Vicki’s parents were apparently 4 or 5 years old when Vicki was born.  That’s the only way they are of the same generation as Gina’s parents. She is just so delusional.  

I think if Steve really wanted to marry Vicki, which he clearly has no intention of doing, listening to Vicki lament about losing Don would be a big old red flag.
