That’s why I said they were a watered down version of Chantel’s parents: no matter what the foreign spouse does, good or bad, they will find fault because they wanted a different partner for their son/daughter. 

If my son came to visit with his wife and I didn’t care for what she was wearing, I’d keep it to myself. Because I have no business telling a grownup what to wear. That would be rude and a bad way to welcome my daughter in law to the family. Respect goes both ways, and silence is free. Still not sorry.

Wearing a sleep set you can find in any Macy’s or Walmart is not going to cause a familial rift. Being upset that your son brought home a wife from another country who they don’t know at all just might. That’s Russ’s fault. But it’s much easier to blame the foreign spouse that the kid you raised who didn’t strictly adhere to your values.

I don’t even have to know if they are conservative or freaky..... I would be uncomfortable coming into someone’s kitchen dressed like that. I wouldn’t do it in front of my father, grandfather, brothers, and especially my in laws. I’m not ashamed of my body but that is not breakfast table wear. All she had to do was pull on a robe or some sweats. I’ll never buy the idea that she            “ didn’t think it would  be problem”  just the look on her face said she got just what she wanted.

I don't know man, I mean she had no problem getting naked in front of her dad for that photoshoot so maybe the differences are that deep.  

For purposes of this discussion when it comes to dad's I consider be body paint to be pretty naked.

I have a good friend, her parents came over from Columbia before she was born and she said her dad would NOT be standing around watching her topless and would not be approving. I think that was a set up for the show.
