Rumors are that this beach club was shut down because it was a front for prostitution.  Not sure if that is why, but according to this one article, it definitely seems shut down and abandoned, not just closed for the off season.  Signage was removed and it doesn't appear to be winterized.  Someone abandoned a fish tank full of live fish...

I was so embarrassed by that behavior.  In the real world couldn't Panos be charged with something for making an employee do that.

And how fortunate that she was attractive, what if she was unattractive or very, very very old or a man, would he still be expected to kiss the VIP client.

This was just so beyond unprofessional and that is what's lacking in a lot of busineses.

I'm not following Lidnsay on the talk show circuit, but has she said anything about it being closed down or does she still play it off as its a successful business.

Oh she's definitely playing it like it's still a successful business.  According to the website and the note on Trip Advisor, they are closed for the season and will be re-opening May 2019, but they probably have to state that so people won't lose interest in the reality show.  One reviewer on trip advisor notes..

Unsure as whether this has closed down for the season or for good? We went down on a quad and it was just a shell of a place. Empty bar and all that remained was a fish tank which I hope someone is looking after the fish that are inside?

Don’t recommend going down there is you are heading to Mykonos in the next couple of weeks.

Here's another interesting piece of gossip... she was engaged to that Russian millionaire whom she claims was abusive (she cites in the show that she opened this particular club because he had hit her on that beach and this is her way of "taking it back").  Anyway, she had refused to give back that huge emerald engagement ring he gave her and she was running around telling anyone who would listen that she was not giving it back.  Then one day, she loses that finger in a "boating accident" and the subject of the ring went away.. many speculate that he and/or his Russian mob connections made sure to get it back.  Not sure how they repaired the finger, but she does hide it.. like e.g. with a glove on in this instagram video..

Her normal stories make the typical crazy celebrity stories seem banal.

aside from the bra situation, which i hope in any other meeting with your boss, blue haired girl would have gone inside and put on a shirt.  I think Lindsay was trying to figure out who the cool kids were based on how they got drunk.  Alright.......I hate this show, but damn it I will watch.

Okay, watching the "Meet the Staff" segment--Brent is a shitty, straight up misogynist. He brags about being called "The Waitress Slayer" because (according to him) he "sleeps with all the waitresses." And even more vile, he says he does this to prove that "women have no loyalty to each other," that "they are worse than guys."

Wow. I so have no interest in "brand ambassador" (aka aspiring actors/actresses) drama. I came for Lohan on-brand drama not some simpletons who want to sell $600 bottles of well vodka to stupid rich people.

I am loving the idea that Lindsay thinks she's some sort of "boss" by virtue of barely reading overblown resumes of people MTV has already pre-hired. I mean, really. She doesn't own that place—she loans it her name. It's kinda like Ronald McDonald barging into the local McDonald's franchise and demanding to be part of the 3pm-5pm open interview process.

It's strange that Lindsay was not involved in the hiring of the brand ambassadors. She was eager to start firing staff, yet wouldn't MTV have a say in the replacements?

Makes sense to me. It seemed like the “Ambassadors” were being groomed for prostitution in the episode.

It depends on what the laws are in Greece - they’re not in the US so they don’t have to worry about American laws. They seem to be being pretty upfront about what is expected with the clients which makes me think Greece doesn’t have laws to protect employees from such situations. It’s all very prostitution/escort adjacent at best, IMO. And apparently Lindsay knows her way around that scene...

Guys!  I'm so happy there's a thread for this abomination of a show!  I haven't watched it yet, but did have the "meet the ambassadors" episode playing in the background one day.  All I could think was, "I don't want to know any of these people in real life!"  I assume one of the reasons these people were cast is to edit Lindsay as the wise, measured elder (who's allegedly not that old) and bosslady, in comparison to these fools and their antics.

And regarding "the Lohan brand," I think Lindsay believes she's managing it well because she's comparing it to what her mom tried to do a while ago (google tells me 2010) with her own line of shoes.  Dina was apparently calling this brand "Shoe-han," but it never saw the light of day.  So sadly, no one owns a pair of "Shoe-hans."  Travesty.

I also urge you, whether you have seen it before or not, to go and watch "I Know Who Killed Me" and then listen to the "How Did This Get Made?" podcast for that movie.  I don't think that edition is up on iTunes anymore, but you can listen to it via youtube.  This is the prestigious acting career Lindsay fronts like she left behind.

Last night's episode contained the same 2-3 min introduction as the preview & 1st episode.  I almost turned it off thinking it was repeat. We get it, you're so misunderstood, so hardworking, blah blah blah.  Just get on with the trainwreck.

Does she really think these ambassadors are altruistic and in it for her? Ha. Famewhores. Every one. Even Panos.

I am hoping there's an upcoming Very Special Episode featuring Aristotle spelling out S-O-S in rocks on the beach and then getting rescued by a passing biplane. 

I can also live without close ups of Butterface Brent and his lady eyebrows—particularly ones with vomit crusting on the corner of his chin. Speaking of that image, how did he wind up on the side of the road? They should have just dragged him into the middle of it and let him get run over by a moped gang. The world would have been done a great favor.

And once again, I am a bit baffled at Lohan's insistence that she's some kind of "boss." How does understanding who those morons really are expect her to better manage them?  My actual boss doesn't care "who" I am as long as I do my job.

As for the cabanas, every cabana I've ever rented (sum total: ONE) comes with a dollar-spend minimum which is in no way cheap by any definition of the word. How much "upselling" are these people expected to do?

God, this show is just terrible.

The same thing happened to me!

This show really could do with some structure.  I lost interest towards the end of it (though I was kinda impressed by Sara dumping the full bottle on Brent's head).  Perhaps they could do some sort of weekly challenge or maintain a $ tracker and have some sort of prize for the "ambassador" who sells the most drinks/cabanas/whatever?

Now for the obligatory question with every new MTV show... what is the probably that we will see some of these people on a future season of The Challenge, Ex on the Beach, etc?  My money's on Brent.

This show is SO DUMB. The entirety of the episodes are Panos saying they are replaceable if they don’t do a good job. But there is nothing going on at this club for them to be good or bad at. I don’t even know what they’re supposed to be doing other than prostituting themselves for the VIPs and this is regardless of one’s own sexuality. There isn’t even any drama. Wow Sara and Brent kissed while they were out at some nightclub and Panos saw them.. riveting. They need to get Snooki circa 2009 up in there because this show is a stupid snore fest and it’s obvious that this beach club is not some popular thriving hot spot.

Agree with GracieK- this show and club is dumb!  First of all, who in their right mind could take the over the top Brent seriously?  I don’t get what his special skills are that makes him such an asset to the “Club”? This place isn’t as classy as my local Day’s Inn and all I see is a bunch of young people hanging around in their bathing suits doing nothing. How is this “ the hardest I’ve ever had to work?”. Plus, a woman like Natasha who is beautiful and has money is not going to want the ‘ help’ pawing her and it’s insulting that that little twerp thinks HE can reject her.  Sara seems like a dummy - a guy calls you “ a 2” and says your like the gum on his shoe and you’re giving him another chance?  Also, if I’m spending all that money for a cabana, I don’t want a bunch of young kids t4ying to “ up sell” me and be so blatant about it. Ugh, But it’s a great hate watch.

This is a real thing.  Alcohol is where the money is.  It's the same thing on cruise ships.  No matter where you are, someone's always trying to push you to buy a drink, or bottle of champagne on New Years Eve.

Oh yeah I know it.. I've experienced it on Caribbean vacations and it's annoying as hell.  But if I'm a multi-millionaire VIP that is paying for a cabana and already there to purchase the finest and most expensive alcohols and bottle service, I don't want to have the bottle girl hovering over me and pressuring me to buy more.  I'd expect a better level of service that doesn't include high pressure sales tactics.

What I can't understand are these VIPs just rolling up to this place by themselves and to do what??  Weird.  The situation with the Italian models makes more since b/c I got a girls day out vibe from them and sure who doesn't want to hang out with attractive guys (I'm sorry but Aristotle and the new guy are cute) and drink. 

 

Oh and FYI Lindsay spraying random people in the restaurant--totally rude.  Go to the designated champagne showers area if you want to be sprayed; don't spray the poor, sweet couple trying to eat their Ceasar Salad!

The more money they think you have, the more money they'll want you to spend.  Doesn't make sense to try and sell to a person who doesn't have the money.

This location lacks professionalism.  I understand that in the customer service profession a little flirting goes on for better tips, but as many posters have pointed out these employees are like to thoughts away from prostituting themselves.  I think because the lack of professionalism we can't take these (and i agree) kids trying to up sell seriously.  And wait a minute.  Up Sell on what?  I'm with you, if I paid a lot of money a day for a cabana the last thing I would want is for someone to try to sell me shots.  So Tacky.

Sara getting with Brent after he insulting her is just sad.  The fact that those words even came out of his mouth proves that he is verbally abusive.  Great relationship, when he doesn't get his way, he'll just talk down to you.

 In all my years, I have never heard anything like this and it is the most funniest thing I have ever heard, my goal, for the rest of my life is just to add that phrase to everyday normal conversation.

EDIT: 01/22/2019 - 5:28PM.  Now this is Spooky.  Here I am watching Homicide: Life on the Street, S4E4, and Baliss just said that phrase to a perp during the interrogation.  

I think I remember that phrase from a Stephen King novel and I was pretty sure it was one word.  Sure enough, according to urbandictionary.com:  crazy as a shithouse rat:  Deranged, demented behavior that others deem similar to that of a rodent that dwells in a wood shithouse.

Last night's episode had Brent and Sara cementing their relationship in a loud nightclub while Panos looked on disapprovingly.  Even though they had mikes strapped to their back so we could hear them, how could he possibly hear the conversation?  That always bugs me in any show or movie.  Plus the pretense that Lindsay and Panos don't want any of the "ambassadors" to hook up is so blatantly stupid, they all live together and are half-dressed most of the time, plus the booze is flowing wherever they are.

Either The Body (which was the basis for the movie Stand by Me) or It.
