Mackenzie, the pregnant wife of (former) ‘Teen Mom OG’ dad Ryan Edwards, is no longer filming for the MTV reality show and, judging from her recent post to social media, she is not happy about it!

Mackenzie posted a photo to Instagram Live earlier this week that showed Ryan’s parents, Jen and Larry Edwards, filming with the MTV crew. She captioned the video “’Family Time’ set up by MTV FAKKKKKKKKEEEEE.”

As The Ashley previously reported, Mackenzie and Ryan were booted from “Teen Mom OG’ after Ryan’s first baby mama, Maci Bookout, refused to continue on with the show if Ryan was allowed to appear on the upcoming season. Ryan and Mackenzie explained their dismissal by stating that the show’s producers “don’t want to show Ryan as a recovering addict, but they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan’s parents, so it would look like someone else is raising it.”

Former ‘Teen Mom 3’ star Mackenzie announced that the ‘Teen Mom’ special focusing on her mother Angie Douthit’s battle with cancer, will air sometime next month.

As The Ashley previously reported, Mackenzie’s mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung and brain cancer in January.

“She has so many masses in her lungs that they stopped counting at 40,” Mackenzie said at the time.

In May, Mackenzie said the cancer had spread and now is now in Angie’s “brain, lungs and bones.”

“You have such a strong message to share and you are not scared to shout it to the rooftops,” Mackenzie wrote in an Instagram note to her mother.

Mackenzie said MTV wanted to film her mom because she is an inspiration to others.

“As soon as that hit, she was an inspiration, she started doing speaking and spoke out to people. So, MTV decided to do a special about her story and her battle with cancer,” Mackenzie said during an interview on Kail Lowry’s Coffee Convos podcast in March. “It’s just a huge inspirational story. Have your tissues ready for this special.”

Earlier this month, an MTV camera crew headed back to Mackenzie’s hometown to film follow-up footage for the ‘Teen Mom’ special.

The ‘Teen Mom OG’ star and her husband, Taylor McKinney, reportedly accepted an offer on their Ooltewah, Tennessee, home this week. As The Ashley previously reported, the couple had listed their home and 1.8 acres for $370,000. The home, which they originally bought in 2016 for $329,990, was featured extensively on the last two seasons of ‘Teen Mom OG.’

During a podcast interview done earlier this month, Maci explained that she and Taylor own a piece of land and were merely looking at houses for inspiration before they began to build a home of their own. They ended up falling in love with one of the homes they viewed and decided to purchase it. Maci said she and Taylor plan to keep the land as an investment.

Maci, please pay your California taxes.

According to the Sacramento County Court Recorder’s Office in California, Bookout was hit with a state tax lien for $12,569 on August 30, 2017 for the 2012 and 2014 years.

The clerk confirmed the office has yet to receive a release on the lien and that it remains active at this time.

I looked it up, the lien was filed by the California Franchise Tax board. I had previously thought they only dealt with businesses, but apparently they do individual owed taxes also.

I don't think she's lived there, so I thought it might be related to a business or sales made there. I looked up her business and it was registered in Tennessee in 2015. The tax lien says it is is from something in 2012 and 2014.

I wonder if it is from books she may have sold at events held in CA. The Franchise Tax Board doesn't fuck around and they love penalties and 12k isn't that much, so I wonder if it started with a much smaller amount (the sales tax from books sold in California) and she ignored it until it got to this absurd amount.

Why would Maci owe taxes in California?  Maybe her crappy t-shirt company is incorporated there.  Thanks for no details Radar Online.

I'm no tax expert, but I believe if you are paid for working in CA, you owe taxes on those earnings whether you are a resident or not.  So when she made appearances on reunions or whatever in L.A., it was taxable income.  Since it was 1099 income and not W-2, it would fall under the Franchise Tax Board and not Employment Development Dept.

Bristol somehow looks like every traditionally (physically) "pretty"  brunette white girl and yet no one in particular (as she has no real "unique" features anymore) at the same time. It's very weird. I'm not sure if that's good plastic surgery (she doesn't immediately stand out as a Palin or look like an over-plastic mess like Farrah) or bad (because she looks "pretty" but in a way that doesn't call attention to it because it's such a...basic "pretty").  I know I'm not expressing it well, but it is...weird.  I thought she was several different people before I realized "oh yeah, Bristol Palin."

Bristol's chin implant looks painful. It looks like it could double as a bottle opener.

According to Bristol she had to get the surgery for medical reasons ??.

She explains: "I had corrective jaw surgery" back in December 2010, says the new Bio channel reality star, who has a 2-year-old son, Tripp, with ex-fiance Levi Johnston.

"Yes," she admits, "It improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons…so my jaw and teeth could properly realign…I don't obsess over my face"

So I have a theory about MTV, and I am wondering who owns the company  (I am currently too lazy to check) but they seem to be pushing a Religious Right agenda in their programming.

The other night I was watching Floribama Shore. (I know, I know....) If you haven't seen it the show consists of an almost Real World style set up with a bunch of young people living together in a house. Their activities are partying, clubbing, getting shitfaced wasted, hooking up with randos from the bars and then some real life drama thrown in - a pregnancy scare, past miscarriages, controlling boyfriends, dying family members. In the most recent episode Candace decides to open up to her housemates about her confusion over her "boo thang" "GatorJay231SouthsideGod", some doughy, lazy mess of a manbaby that seems to have all the charisma and intelligence of a sack of rocks. In her time of need, her housemates pray over her in a circle. In the next scene, the are headed to the bar to get wasted again, or peeing in the center console of a taxi, or having unprotected sex with someone. It's mind boggling to watch this hypocrisy in action. They are godly people, yet their every activity outside a few scenes of grace before a meal, or praying over someone, is absolutely contrary to the bible. And I'm not religious at all, and even I know that. I guess as long as you say you're a believer and pray every now and again, there's no problem.

In another scene, Kortni admits to having had a miscarriage and makes a big deal about finding a fetus in her underwear. And yet here she was again this season, thinking she might be pregnant. There is never any talk of abstinence or birth control, but while she is waiting for the results of her pregnancy test, she and the whole house are saying what a great mom she will be. There are no options for her, like abortion or even adoption, the only path that exists is motherhood.

The Teen Mom series follows a similar arc, with characters having drug and alcohol problems, unprotected sex, multiple partners/baby daddies etc. Every teen on the show decided to have their baby instead of aborting, and only one gave hers up for adoption. So we started out watching the struggles of some girls as they grappled with the realities of raising a child on their own, at least half of the dads being deadbeats. And they followed Caitlyn and Tyler even though they had given up their baby and were technically no longer teen parents. Why did they not include a girl who chose to abort? I mean, if the evangelicals believe personhood starts at conception, then even a woman who aborted would technically qualify as a mother, or in this case, a teen mom. Why not show the gamut of women's choices over their reproduction? If you can show Cait and Tyler without a baby, you certainly can show the life of the girl who chose to forgo the whole thing.

I have also been fascinated and repelled by the money and celebrity status placed on these women. First of all, while this might be considered "reality" TV, this is in no way a documentary series. It is unethical to pay for stories. I don't know about you but I have rarely seen a teen mom driving a Range Rover and going on vacations and buying new homes or starting their own businesses, unless she came from a wealthy family. They certainly don't walk red carpets at awards ceremonies. The reality is most teen moms struggle to get by. The most realistic teen mom story right now is Brittni, who lives at home with her mom and sister. But eventually as the money rolls in, that will change too. I have read the Bristol Palin will be paid 300K for her season of Teen Mom. Which leads me to this: MTV does not want girls to see the ugly reality of teen parenting. Teen Mom is not so much a cautionary tale as it is an advertisement for the anti abortion movement. They want a pregnant girl to believe that she can buy a nice house, drive a nice car and never have to put her kid in a crappy daycare and go to work. Because if she thought for a minute that it was going to be sleepless nights in a cheap apartment somewhere with hand me down furniture and a job at Walmart, they might not keep the pregnancy. And they fired the only cast member who stepped outside the lines and decided to exercise autonomy over her body by doing porn - Farrah. Yes, she was an awful bitch and must have been a nightmare to work with, but so are Kail and Jenelle and they're still employed. I actually believe that the religious right would approve of all of their behavior as long as they say they believe and don't abort their babies or do porn. That's what brings in the viewers. We come for the train wreck - the nudity, drinking, guns, unprotected hook ups, dead beat dads, heroin addicts and we don't even realize that we're being fed a specific message: Don't.Get.An.Abortion.

This is...so disturbingly true. I hadn't ever really thought of it that way, but it is definitely the message.

I don't think MTV is necessarily trying to propagate the stance of the Religious Right- for them, babies and pregnancies are good ratings/good story lines that last a season or more. An abortion is one or two episodes.  Think about how much attention celebrities' pregnancies and babies draw.  MTV reality show "celebrities" who have babies/pregnancies can also do the same thing for their reality TV shows and hold people's attention for a whole season or more.

I think MTV is in it for the viewers/money/etc when it comes to babies/pregnancy scares/etc and they are inadvertently pushing the "don't ever get an abortion message" in doing so.

Briana's sister Britney had an abortion the same time Briana was pregnant with Nova.

Okay, so follow her life as she goes on without a baby. Sadly, I'm not sure she'd be the best example of someone whose future will be saved by making that choice. Unless I'm missing something, she doesn't appear to have much going on. But wtf, one household and both daughters aren't using protection and getting pregnant? Nice work, mom.

How come nobody capitalizes Bible any more? I don’t believe in Hogwarts but I still capitalize it...

If a child told me I looked like a cat, I would not make shitty racist comments about him. I’d thank him for giving me the highest compliment of my life!!! CATS ARE BEAUTIFUL WHO WOULDNT WANT TO BE A CAT

They should have replaced Briana from Teen Mom 2 with Amber and cancelled Teen Mom OG. Anyway here's Bristol talking about Farrah:

I don’t think I heard a word they said. I was looking at Catelynn and Amber’s clothing choices:

Video:

I'm convinced Catelyn is on a campaign to keep gaining weight as a way to punish Tyler. She's never forgiven him for making her give up iCarly. These pregnancies serve a duel purpose.   By getting knocked up again she gets to have another replacement baby and stay fat when all Tyler wants is a super model wife.

  • Love 9

Honestly, you do sometimes have to consider your weight before becoming pregnant again, because Catelynn, it will only get worse this time, and your pregnancy is at risk as well.  I am not fat shaming or saying people of all sizes can't have babies.  I am speaking specifically of Catelynn who has no discipline or care about her health, so let's be clear about that.  Tyler will leave her at some point.  Because there is no end to her weight gain at this point if she can't pull it together while being so young.
