I loved Libby's Ponderosa. It's amazing how she looks so beautiful on the island and at Ponderosa. I liked how she made a meal for herself and Chris. She likes to cook, and seemed really excited about it. If she puts out recipes online, I would definitely try them out. I will probably also try out the grilled peanut butter sandwich. Libby is such a sweet girl.

In Chris' defense I'm sure he's never watched a Ponderosa ep before.  I imagine the producer said, "Grab a drink and greet Libby out front" and that's what he did.

Anyone know why Libby's in London currently?

Barbie and Ken at Ponderosa!

I loved how excited Libby was to be in a market picking up groceries.  The meal looked delicious and I hope she posts her recipe.

I was excited to see them on an outing, even if it was to the grocery store.  I miss seeing them taken on excursions, because I think they still do that from what some castaways have said.  There seems to be a lot of good footage that is left on the cutting room floor.

I prefer seeing the outings.  It seems there is an over-reliance now on philosophical (such as they are) voice overs with footage of people walking on the beach, tossing their hair meaningfully, posing while leaning against a tree, comtemplating the horizon, or, in Libby's case, actually taking a shower!  A little of that goes a long way in my book.

It's almost like a parody of such things.

I thought the reenactment of Libby lying in bed waking up with the sun streaming in was getting pretty cheesy.

And the slow pans on the womens' bodies are always mildly troubling.

Haha!  Forgot that one!  It was beatifically cheesy!

I'd love to see them do such things with someone old and craggy.  (If they ever cast such a person again.). Could you imagine a slow pan of, say, Rudy waking up with a sunbeam across his face!  hahahahaha!

I thought Libby was nice enough on the island - but after watching that, I want to marry her.

Man, my wife is gonna be piiiissssssed....

That said, it was beautifully shot. Porn worthy but beautifuly shot.

"I'm not a cheesy lover."

I don't get the Libby love at all.  She is inarticulate, vacuous, and self-involved.  With chic-let teeth.

Really never noticed the chic-let teeth. Although, I will say for the sterotypical Survivor blonde she isn't memorable enough for a return visit. IMO! She was a recruit which isn't her fault but she didn't know how to play the game. That said, she made the merge and the jury. She's done a lot better then some who have 2 or 3 times. That's something.

I don't know. A lot of people make the jury. Chris made jury without going to a tribal council and I'm sure that someone else has done that as well. I figure with Survivor you either want to play well and/or be a memorable character. The absolute worst thing for me would be to one of those people who's almost immediately forgotten after they're voted out because they did almost nothing of consequence. And I think I'd slot Libby into that category.

Then again if SIERRA! was a returning player, maybe Libby could pop up because Survivor producers clearly have no standards when it comes to cute female players.

I think Libby showed her lack of game when, after realizing her name kept coming up in TC, she whined to the whole group "What am I doing wrong?!?  Why don't you like me?" Like seriously, that is not going to get you anywhere.  Change your approach, make new connections, chat people up who you think are unsure about you, make deals, sure, but whine like that?  Not going to do much for your position.

Libby was screwed the moment that Morgan told the group to not trust Libby after she was voted out. It marked Libby as being the mastermind behind Morgan's vote, when in reality that was James. Libby was not able to recover from that vote.

I was too bored to make it past Libby's trip to the grocery store.  Has anyone ever been that in love with their own reflection?  Most of them look in the mirror and talk about how awful they look but Libby was "OMG, OMG, OMG, I'm so tan! One hundred and eighteen pounds! OMG, I've lost such an incredible amount of weight!  OMG, I have never, ever, in my whole life weighed that for a long time! OMG!  My arm muscles! ME, ME! OMG  ME!"

I think her game was a little bit like,  "I Voted off My Mom," Cierra's.  Libby bragged to the camera that voting off Morgan would show everyone what a tough gamer she was, only no one but Libby was impressed.  And Jeff of course, he thought Cierra was awesome, too.

I rolled my eyes when she gasped, "my hair looks terrible" when her hair looked absolutely gorgeous, the kind of hair people pay good money for.

Personally, I want to see what she is wearing for jury tonight. I'm kind of shallow that way. LOL!!!

ETA: She looked very pretty. Nothing extraordinary but her & Chris looked very.........blonde. LOL!!!!

I remember reading somewhere that Jeff likes Libby. I wouldn't be surprised if she's brought back on a future season. Maybe on a second chance season.

Of course. I swear it seems like any female that is described by other players as "flirtatious," gets an invite back.

Kind of funny that in Des' Ponderosa, Libby got the pornish zoom-ins again.  I wonder if the Ponderosa director suggested Des just direct while Chris and Libby did all the main dancing, to give him a justification.  Heh.

Libby does look a lot like Christina Applegate.

Des's Ponderosa was fine. I would have preferred watching her dance on the beach then teaching Ken and Barbie the dance. And I am tired of Ken referring to himself as the Prince of Ponderosa and Barbie the Princess of Ponderosa. I strongly prefer the first bootee being the "Mayor" as opposed to royalty.

I suspect that Des was as exciting at Ponderosa as she was in the game and so her Ponderosa felt less personal and included more Libby and Chris.

I never got to know her well in the game.  Nifty woman and very pretty.  She did not invent the grilled cheese burger though!  They are a family favorite and I have made hundreds of them.  :)

Personally, I don’t know that many people who go on and on about somebody else when looking in a mirror - but hey, maybe that’s just me....  ;>

I didn't expect her to talk about anyone else, just not brag and gush over herself quite so much.   Most of the women in the past have laughed about how dirty they look or said something like,  "My rear end disappeared!"  It's called modesty.  I find it attractive.

If I was tan and lost all that weight I be going on and on and on all about myself. Isn't that what a mirror is for?

I use mine to look for flaws that need fixing, but maybe I'm doing it all wrong and should be swooning over my own good looks.

Desiree took her ouster really well and the way she interacted with Chris and Libby has convinced me that this Ponderosa is a nice one. It's a shame they didn't show a full performance of the dance she choreographed, though.

I enjoyed the dance lesson that Des was giving to Chris and Libby. These three seem to get along very well, and I hope it continues to be a great place for the other castaways that come there.

In some of the past seasons the atmosphere at the Ponderosa seemed quite toxic.  This Ponderosa seems to have a positive vibe and everyone seems much more likeable than in the game. I wish the Ponderosa videos were longer.

I wish they had different content, like game talk or even just small talk.  They feel too scripted and repetitive to me.  I do like when they're all congenial, though.

It has been a while since Ponderosa has been toxic. There have been a few seasons where people seem more willing to isolate themselves but there has not been a bad feeling for a while. I think Thai's first season might have been the last one where there was some tension. The last bunch seem to have been pleasant.

Last one I remember is when people refused to greet or speak to Kaos Kass when she arrived at Ponderosa.  Like literally they sat on the barstool and refused to acknowledge that she had even arrived.  That was her first season, BvBvB Season 28.

Julia, Scot, and Jason avoided Cydney when she arrived but other than that I don’t think KR was that bad.  GC didn’t seem like a bitter jury house, but Andrea said there was a more depressing atmosphere there compared to her other Ponderosa stays.  Everyone seemed over it.

I’d say Gabon was the worst jury house ever.  When Crystal showed up I don’t think anyone talked to her.  I don’t believe Ken got a great reception either.

Ironically in her second season, Kass became quite the mayor.

I imagine Libby shall be taking over mayoral duties since she was the one greeting Des with a drink in hand.

Well... other than (possibly) occasional occurrences of relatively smooth water, Libby hasn’t seen a reflection of herself in 3-1/2 weeks.  So I’m willing to cut her - and anybody else who survives long enough to make it to Jury Ponderosa, for that matter - a degree of slack.  YMMV

I didn’t get the impression she was bragging about her tan or weight, just remarking on them.  Given her usual look is very polished, I think she probably thought she looked really rough.

I wonder if the tan surprised her most because they do get frequent sunscreen access out there and she probably thought she was being good at staying covered?

I kind of get the feeling that Desiree's dance was a hint to Chris. With all that prince and princess stuff, I can imagine that Libby spent their three days there fending off his advances.
