Same reason they don't want recovering drug addicts dating, they are food addicts and I suppose they want them to focus on recovery instead of a relationship

I know!  Most of them eat laying down or at least in bed and usually the rest of the family sits around them in the bedroom and eats.

Color me amazed that Lee was assigned male at birth and lived as a male. I was thinking, "Wow, how progressive of TLC to show a trans man's breasts...he identifies as a man, so his breasts don't need to be blurred, whether he has undergone a medical transition or not."

We already know I'm on the fast train to Hell, so an observation on the way there...you have to be pretty damn fat to shock the shoppers in Bumblefuck, Missouri.

Lee's sister is submitting to his domination when it comes to cooking; maybe she's subsidizing their income, too?

I was on food stamps for a while when the kids were small, and I was AMAZED at the amount...

Does anyone else have a hard time breathing when you're watching this? Like some of the people almost suffocate me just thinking of how hard it must be for them to breathe, especially when they're in a car.

I turned away for a moment and when I turned back, the guy was coming off of the trailer. My mind couldn't accept it. "Surely these people aren't riding around in a trailer?" I thought. That would be bad, but having to tow a trailer so you can haul your twin scooters is pretty bad itself.

I had to rent a scooter at a conference. You'd be surprised how heavy those things are. It wouldn't go over the lip of my room at the hotel and I had to get out and try to pull it into the room with the help of one of the staff. They look like fun (OK, that's how they advertise them on TV), but they seem to be a handful. 

My late uncle became a double amputee from diabetes. He was in his scooter one day and somehow tipped over on the sidewalk. Imagine 1) the fall and 2) having to stay on the sidewalk until somebody happens by (this was in their neighborhood w/not a lot of traffic, pedestrian or otherwise) to help you. Jeez.
