I also realized I'm going to miss Sarah. She's like that girlfriend in high school you had a scream with in french class. I'm happy for her, though.

I'm also going to miss Sara -- she brings levity to the group. I have my fingers crossed Ana will temporarily replace Sara when she's on maternity leave. Anyone that can say, " We have Hooha Grabber in Chief," deserves a seat at the table.

She's freakin' great. Love her! It would be so awesome if she did temporarily replace Sara.

Right!  She gets it. I would love to see her debate a certain cohost. She held her own perfectly with the rest of the table, I thought w/o having to be shrill or harsh or defensive or or or or or or or blah

Wow, fascinating how many of you have purchased items from the "View Your Deal" segment. Every now and then I'll see something and mentally remind myself to look it up later, but never get around to doing it. Sounds like most of you at least didn't regret your purchases.

Meghan McCain has been hogging up most of the talking time since she's been on, it's very nice to hear Sara speak, finally. Some days I forget Sara's there.

She's really found her place on the show. I'm going to miss her, too. Such a positive, bubbly personality (Sara! Not Elsa).

Well, on Elsa's first day, I think she said that Whoopi has known her since she was a child. Also, Whoopi is the only one who called her about her new position on "The View" (I think?) It's fascinating to watch but also annoying because Whoopi NEVER handled any conservative on that show with kiddie gloves. Hell, she didn't handle a lot of the more Liberal co-hosts with kiddie gloves. It's such a noticeable contrast from how she talked to the last co-host, Jedediah Bilah. The girl rarely could get her point across without Whoopi coming for the jugular.

I'm not really sure why Whoopi is treating Elsa so special but will snap on Sunny if she makes a facial expression. It just makes me like her a little less because that isn't fair, no matter how close they are to each other's families. If it's that big of a conflict of interest, why have MM as a co-host? Hopefully Ana Navarro's appearance today is an audition. There has been nothing but mostly negative feedback about MM on every social media site I've checked. Some people have even emailed ABC about MM -- at least that's what I saw on twitter.

I could just barely stomach Hasslebeck and she wasn't nearly as bad as Elsa. If MM lasts more than one season I'm more than ready to go back to just watching clips.

Plus there wasnt the social media mania back then like there is now..I bet she would have been lambasted too

Why repeat any birthdays. Meghan's, Joys. They are annoying enough the first time around.

I read on another forum, as this is likely her fathers last Thanksgiving, Meghan is with him..

Interesting another woman came forward, regarding Franken.

No, dont worry because that would make national news, if he took a turn.  My conspiracy theory is, while tied into the above, she comes back married.........

I'm not a fan of Kiefer, two faced drunk. Donald is a gentleman, his son is far from it. Just Google and see his antics.

I think they can disagree with one another views, it's called the view, not the same view, lol

I agree DS is very good!

DS was in a show a few gears ago.  Unfortunately they didnt renew it but it was like a drama/comedy and he was the patriarch and he was bloody hysterical!  Great comedic timing as well. I dont remember the name darnit, but Peter Krause was also in it, if anyone wants to IMDB it

Dirty Sexy Money.  I watched it and enjoyed it.  It lasted two seasons.

There's sexual harassment and workplace harassment -- Whoop's is guilty of the latter and no one holds her accountable! A prime example of abuse of power. Like @TheGreenKnight stated, "SSDD!"

Love Ana Navarro!  With her presence, everyone seems to be on fire -- in a good way!

YES! This brings me back to the first law firm I worked at and it was great for most of the time-I loved my attorneys and the work. But the Legal Secretary was the biggest bully who ever bullied. And it got to the point the firm brought in a specialist and we completed confidential forms about being bullied. And it was brought to her attention, and she was...wait for iiiiiit (said in Shawn and Guster's voices)...Shocked. Amazed. Credulous, that people thought she was a bully. Of course she was fired a few months after I'd left (a couple years after the confidential forms stuff) because of her attitude and personality. It never ceases to amaze me how self-absorbed these bullies are. And ever since Anita Hill, people seemed to think that sexual harassment is the ONLY harassment that goes on in the workplace.  Someone needs to sit Whoopi's ass DOWN. You know she wouldn't pull this shit if Bawawa was still here. Seriously, I don't recall this bullying when Bawawa was at the table.

I hope she marries while her father is able to give her away, she would love that, as any father/daughter...

Do you think we just didnt notice it? Maybe she was more subtle? I know a friend of mine called Whoopi out, with Rosie. I don't recall, but a lot of people have caught on to Whoopi!

I used to like Whoopie, but now I think she's a big bully herself.

So true!  In my lengthy working career, I've never actually seen sexual harassment, but PLENTY of bullying & all by women!

Loved Ana today - so nice to see a mature, intelligent woman.  I suggest they get rid of Whoopie & MM and just have Sara, Joy, Sunny & Ana - I know - in my dreams!  One thing  though, I wish women wouldn't drool so much over the male guests.

  • Love 11

I only watched today up to the guest, but really enjoyed the discussions with the intelligent, mature women at the table. Even Whoopi.  They at least seemed evenly matched and able to express themselves clearly. I don't really know Ana Navarro, but going by today's show, I wouldn't be opposed to having her co-host again.

As for MM, if she's getting married this week, I do wish her well. I'm sure it's a very emotional week, regardless, for her family knowing it might be her dad's last Thanksgiving. Maybe if she gets married, she'll take a long honeymoon away from New York. I know, wishful thinking, especially since Whoopi assured us MM would be back on Monday.  But we can still dream.

There was a blog called TheView Watch that a gal in Vancouver started around 2006 & was handed over to Stacee, who moderated for many years until she shut it down a few years ago.  There were quite a few of us commenting & counter-commenting every day & Hasselblech was, more often than not, the object of our disdain!!!

LOL. Knew exactly who you were talking about when you said Bawawa. :D

I don't remember all of this bullying when she was at the table, either. Whoopi wouldn't DARE try it with Bawawa, the woman who gave her another chance after she was blackballed. Sad how the show went downhill.

Let's not kid ourselves - I do like Whoopi but sometimes it's hard to defend her. Obvious target is Sunny but sometimes she gets smart with Joy, as we've seen today. Also, past conservative hosts usually got cut off by her at some point (except precious Meghan).

I wonder if maybe Whoopi knows more about her dad's condition than anyone else and that's why Whoopi takes it easy on her? Maybe his condition is worse than anyone knows publicly.

Yeah, the notion that this may be her father's last Thanksgiving has been mentioned here and sad to say, but that's very likely. The kind of brain cancer her dad was diagnosed with doesn't have a very high rate of survival over the long-term. I hope it's not but I'm sure her family and Sen. McCain knows that. He's lived an honorable life and will to the very end, I'm sure.

Still, good on her for the marriage. I still don't like her on "The View" and wish she were being replaced but, such is life.

Not a fan but I do feel bad that she is losing her father and is in AZ right now to be with him and getting married so he can "give her away". I don't blame her for not publicizing it constantly like one former co-host did years ago. Good on her for that.

Yeah. As much as I don't like her, if her dad's condition is worse than we all know, I don't blame her for not disclosing that information -- at least not to the viewing audience. She is losing him, sadly. The only time I've seen any inkling of emotion from her was when her dad was on.

Having Ana Navarro at the table was refreshing after having to deal with a spoiled child like Meghan McCain the past few weeks. They should've hired her a long time ago before failing with Jedi and now McCain.

The mood was much lighter with Ana Navarro. I've been a fan of her for a long time. She isn't afraid to call anyone out on their BS, regardless of politics.

I have a feeling they're going to stick with MM until the passing of her father.

...but, there's going to be an empty seat when Sara is on maternity leave!  I would relish the day MM rolls her eyes and huffs at Ana Navarro -- again, Ana can cut a bitch like no one else! When you eliminate party line talking points and 'whataboutisms' ...you have a conservative debating using critical thinking. I say, "bring it on!" Today I believe we got a glimpse of the best panel yet and the potential of what The View could be!

On a sidenote, the women were debating (love it!), while Whoops was lecturing and pontificating.

I just watched, and today it was Joy! Joy was pissed! MM wasn't there, but this is not a happy table, it truly is not. Maybe it's Whoopi, maybe it's Joy not able to see more than the GOP is wrong, I don't know, but happy, no way! Nope...

I agree, the best panel they've had. I'd love to get rid of Whoopi and just keep the other four everyday. I hope Ana will be back on a day Meghan is there. I have a feeling Meghan won't dare go at her, because she won't be able to act like a victim with another conservative.

Whoopi was a lot more, shall we say, vocal than she has been since MM’s arrival on the show. For the past few weeks she mostly moderated the conversation, had something to say here and there, and made snarky remakes about Sunny rolling her eyes or something. She mostly left the conversation up to the other women though. Something was different this week. Hmmm...

That vicitim card would be tough to play with Ana, which is why I want to see them both on the panel, too. I have a feeling MM wouldn’t go after her, either. Or, she’d try to bait Ana with the whole “as a conservative, don’t you think...” blah blah whatever. Ana wouldn’t fall for it.

The reason I only watched on Fridays, was because Whoopi wasn't there, that was long before MM was on my screen..so that tells me a lot.

I still say, with or without MM, this is not a happy crowd, lots of huffy puffy sounds, plus eye rolling. I guess we'll see.

Justin Hartley is lovely....:) I loved the photo of him, with Milo and Sterling..

Meghan and Ana are friends so I doubt they would go after each other plus Ana worked for John McCains presidential campaign.

A few co-hosts in the past were also friends yet they frequently went after each other on “The View.” (Jedediah Bilah and Sunny were friends off the show but would frequently go at it on air. Just one example).

True but I’m saying when Whoopi and MM are both there, Whoopi isn’t as vocal. She usually let’s the other women debate, makes a few generic comments and that’s that.

I'm 77 and had a lengthy working life too (not so sure it was a career) and had my share of sexual/physical harassment,  insults, invitations, inuendo, etc.  I'm 77 and in "my day" complaining would do me no good.  In almost every case I talked back, acted "shocked," or gossiped (for decades) about the perps* by name.  Never was bullied by a female.

*Currently people will say "me too" about these local guys.

Fair question and good point. Not sure about that. I think Sunny was mostly a CNN commentator and Jed was a Fox commentator, respectfully, before both joined “The View” so probably not.

Fair point. I’ve saw them  disagree on twitter (I follow Ana), but it was respectful. I just don’t think Ana would be super harsh to Meghan given the fact they have known each other outside the show for a long time.

LOL, she's obviously not trying to have privacy, since she posted a photo of slippers that say "I do" and some silly emojis that hinted at her wedding. If that's not coy, I'm not sure what is...

Well now its all over, why the heck not!??? LOL

Congratulations Meghan and Ben, I hope your father was beaming Meghan !!!
