According to CBS, the Halting Hex will award the user the power to keep someone from going home. The Den Of Temptation voting page states, "Whether on the block or not, [the houseguest] can halt any one of the next four evictions during the live show, making it a non-eviction night." That's a lot of power for a single houseguest to yield, and it could certainly disrupt the gameplay of others.

With the hex, a houseguest could choose to save either themselves or one of their allies. And it doesn't have to be deployed immediately. The houseguest gets to choose when they use the temptation, any time in the next four eviction ceremonies.

I think this will be Paul's last safe eviction night.  Even if they don't have an eviction due to the hex it's still eviction night and he's done.

It's interesting to watch Paul march around the BB house like Cock Robin in his underwear. 

This must be the season of 'show it all'.  The girls are almost doing 'soft porn'!  I'm getting tired of looking at all of them.  Where's the mystery?

I assume the hex has to be used either right before or right after the vote (tally not announced).  Jessica should feel confident that Dom is going but she is not.  She is questioning everyone just to make sure.  This says she really needs to know so she can save it in case Cody returns or if she goes on the block again.  

Dom was talking to herself about the future game plans.  It was muddled with god and snake stuff so hard to really tell. 

Kevin was VERY silent when all were musing about who had it and how it went down.  He didn't seem to care, at all. 

I tend to doubt those who only view the show go online and vote.  I think fans deeper into BB do more voting.  There was a huge push to give it to Dom to screw Paul, a pleasant thought, certainly.  But for me, she doesn't add any interest to the house, she hides and irritates the fuck out of me so I want her gone.

 His safety said for three evictions, specifically.   The wording says he is safe until the 3rd eviction happens.  If this is stopped tonight, he is safe another week.

I really don't think Dom has it because she didn't start even getting much edits until recently. I don't think the casual voters will push for her and there was a real push for Jess after Cody was evicted. The Hollywood Reporter exit interview with Cody even end line was "are you voting Jessica for Den of Temptation?"   Plus the house guests were told there was a big voter turn out this week and people were voting for her like crazy daily.

He said he wanted Josh, Jason, or Kevin to get HOH - someone random - because he knows they wouldn't take a shot at him but they'd take a big shot. After that I couldn't do it anymore and I went back to the kitchen cam. 

Ugh, why will no one go after this guy? Come one, just give me what I want!

I've been listening to him talk.  If Paul catches wind of anyone having the balls to put him on the block, he will make damn sure to target that person.  He thinks if he is on the block, everyone will vote him out because they'll seize the opportunity.  Also, he said that Ramses and Jessica have to go because they are not heeding his advice.  However, he did acknowledge that it was really about them not feeding into his shit.

Now Paul is telling the BB18 cast that maybe it looks like he's shitting on them but it's simply a strategy to make the current cast think they're the best.

Bright side, this is exactly why he lost last season. He just ended up pissing off way too many people. My concern is that casting went out of its way to find more compliant people this year exactly for that reason. It sure seems that way so far. Raven is now saying that her stitches aren't coming out until Saturday.  So 2 more days of her milking the situation.

Paul and Matt were just in the storage room talking.  Paul floated the idea of maybe getting rid of Jessica this week instead of Dominique.  Matt is ok with that because he feels like Jessica is the bigger threat to winning HOH whereas Dominique is mentally checked out so keeping Dom around another week is no big deal.

Yeah. This shouldn't be a thing but it will. You know Big Brother worded it like that on purpose and you know they anticipate the Hex being played tonight. I really hope Jessica has it. Because nothing would be funnier to me than her suddenly getting paranoid about the votes, using the Hex on the live show and halting the eviction... and then finding out that she also stopped Cody from returning. If she would actually do that, it would be entertaining.  Last night when Josh was acting out to Alex and Jason what he would say and do if he won HOH, it was a lot of what you just described as wanting Jessica to do.  But it's Josh, so I highly doubt he would ever act the way he was claiming he would even if he did win.  It would be entertaining as hell though to see either one of them call out people in the house.

Jessica not only holds grudges but takes it personally. If anyone was going to have a moment like that, I would expect it to be her. I could see Josh doing that, should he win an HoH, but it would be with a lot of "meatball" and "good heart" and "human bean being" thrown around.

I honestly don't know if she's telling the truth or not and I'm not sure what time this would have been or if it's even on camera.  But she was telling the story you just referenced to Ramses while she, Ramses, and Matt were in the bathroom this morning.

I don't know if they can flip the votes this late in the week, but I'm sure that if Jess has the temptation, DR might hint at her and she could end up using it. I doubt they'd want their biggest temptation to be wasted in the first day. 

I'm not even sure if Paul really wants to flip the votes. They say that Dom has checked out of the game, but that's only because she thinks she's going home. If she doesn't get evicted? She might very well jump back in, full force. And both her and Jessica did well in the last HOH. 

Man, I don't really know what I want to happen. If Jessica can use her temptation, then I would tell Paul to just try to get his way. But the problem is that BB want a fourth person evicted tonight, as judged by Julie's words last Thursday. Though I'm not sure why the temptation was given yesterday instead of tonight or tomorrow. It's very odd, so maybe I don't know what they really want. 

I'm really torn, but if Paul doesn't get his way tonight, then I say go for whatever outcome which will make him panic.
