Hmm, not sure how I feel about this. Glad it will be back, yes, but on Freeform? I dunno.

New host and judges? Not so sure. Freeform is still around?

I love this show and am so disappointed Bravo didn’t renew it.

I am, too. I guess why they didn't comes down to money, but PR brought a bit of class to them so it really is their loss.

No problem for me with dumping Elaine and Brandon, but PR without Nina Garcia?? I don't really like her, but it will be weird not having her on the show.

New producers always want to leave their own stamp on a show, which usually results in unnecessary/unpopular changes. I'm not confident.

I've posted a number of times that Christian was more about promoting himself and swanning around being a diva than actually helping the contestants. His advice wasn't always so great either. If he's gone, good. Elaine is so utterly, utterly useless.

I disagree. I thought Christian was very helpful to the contestants (I love Tim but I thought Christian was much more direct with the contestants which they often need). Completely agree about Elaine!

Tim Gunn Reveals His Favorite — and Least Favorite — Seasons of Project Runway (Exclusive)
Tim Gunn mentored designers on 'Project Runway' for 16 seasons

"In many ways, season 1 will always be my favorite because it was the first. It's like your first child," the former Project Runway mentor, who worked on the show for 16 seasons alongside Heidi Klum, 51, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I'm not a parent, but I feel like one after 32 years of teaching. It's always special and nostalgic."

However, when it comes to the quality of work, Gunn, 71, reveals that nothing compares to season 13, which aired in 2023 and saw Sean Kelly — known for his eveningwear on the show — emerge as the winner.

"There were so many extraordinarily talented designers," Gunn says. "It was always so difficult for the judges to choose a winner, and that's exactly what you want. You want that kind of high-level competition."

He continues, "It still makes me tear up. It was so breathtaking. Breathtaking. And Heidi wore one of his gowns to the Emmys," Gunn adds, recalling Kelly's final project. Since then, Kelly made a swift pivot post-win to swimwear, founding his company, Hercules New York.

As for his least favorite season, Gunn is quick to answer: season 14.

"I'm not a fan," he says of the season. "I thought the work was very lackluster, and I kept pounding on the workroom table, saying, 'You have to raise the bar here. This is just so dull, so normal. These are clothes you could go to a store right now and buy, so who cares?' I mean, as Heidi’s always telling the designers, you need to cut through the noise so people listen to you."

FYI:
Season 14 winner was Ashley Nell Tipton.

Project Runway Revival: Nina Garcia, Christian Siriano and Law Roach Join Show

  Quote

Klum will host the show, with the original show’s biggest winner, Christian Siriano (who won Season 4), as a mentor for the contestants, the role previously held by Gunn. Nina Garcia will also return as a judge, and fashion designer and stylist Law Roach (famous for being Zendaya‘s stylist) is the new judge joining the team. Siriano, Garcia, and Roach’s castings were announced on Monday, March 24. Additional special guest judges will be announced at a later time.

Clearly the producers didn’t look to this forum for advice in casting judges, because I just revisited the comments for the episode Law Roach guest-judged (S20 E13) and the reactions to him were… not good.

At least they haven’t said Elaine’s coming back (yet). I’m glad Christian’s coming back to mentor, but I wish they had asked Tim Gunn to come back as judge.
