Have you ever been to an airport or a truck stop and noticed a kiosk with gaudy knock off jewelry, handbags and other accessories and wondered to yourself, "Do people actually buy this shit?"  I'm going to guess Jeremy purchased that ugly cuff for her and since she went to kitchen table school, she doesn't know that it's not a J.

Jinger does a very low part in her hair so most of her hair is on one side of her head. If she moved the part closer to center I think her hair would look less scraggly.

Can't wait to hear how they defend that shot.  If you look closely, you can see the outline of her legs all the way up but she probably had on leggings, hot weather or not.

Maybe, but I think it's more like the mishap Diana Spencer had before she became camera-wise. Having grownup on camera, however, you'd think the Duggars would know a thing or two about lighting. But that's physics, so maybe not.

I thought the same thing about Lady Di....when I saw that.  She's wearing a slip but it's not full length.  They could have photoshopped that out...I've photoshopped out my own cleavage by extending the pattern of the blouse...so modesty Photoshopping is possible.  Just turn down the highlights and up the shadows on that area and voila. I'd never publish or let someone see a picture like that. I would let them know I fixed it so their legs couldn't be seen like that.

You really can't see anything past her calves. The print of the dress is a little funky around the thighs. With that said, it is an unfortunate picture.

She should have just added one tier to that dress, or bought another one. And I kind of like the sweater as I'm not fond of matchy-matchy clothes on adults.

This is an unfortunate-looking dress on several counts, and the shoes and sweater don't help. Was poor Jinger forced to forage in the Duggar communal closet, or Is this the best the local Goodwill could do for an engagement photoshoot? OK. Now I'm off to tidy up the prayer closet.

I dunno, I think I see London I see France, or close to it, kind of. lol Pattern placement is rather unfortunate too. Hard to imagine it enlarged much beyond tablet-size.

Someone upthread (sorry can't remember who) suggested that perhaps that lower tier had been added from a second dress.

They should have listened to @Absolom's mother!

I clicked on the link to look at that pic again and it seems to be gone. At least I don't see it any more.  

Personally I didn't think it was a big deal, but I guess it violated the Duggar's Code of Modesty so *poof*  .... whatev.  Jessa can wear tops so skintight at 8 months pregnant her belly button protrudes like a thermometer that has popped out of a Thanksgiving turkey, but god forbid you can see the outline of Jinger's calves through the bottom half of the world's ugliest maxi dress. Because that would not be "meek,"  I guess.  

I don't get why it's a big deal because all the pic shows is the outline of Jinger's calves and the girls all wear skirts that actually show their calves.  Is it because the silhouette thing considered risque?  It's just her CALVES.  It's not like Princess Di's pic that showed right up to her crotch.   It just seems silly to me because if the first tier of the dress were three inches longer and covered Jinger's knees, she wouldn't need the second tier at all.  She could throw caution to the wind and show the lower half of her leg.   But because the second tier lets the outline of her calves show, it's too much to unleash on the world.  It just seems dumb.

Anyway.

I initially assumed Jinger was wearing the brown sweater because the mustard one was in the laundry or something.  Maybe it's not her week to have custody of the hideous rag. But now that I think about it, I believe she is wearing the brown sweater because someone thought she should tone down the bold print of the dress.   A pink or green sweater would have been much nicer, but those colors are not meek enough.  Jinger mustn't come across as looking like she wants someone to actually notice her and think she looks bright and cheerful.  Heaven forbid. Mouse brown is much more humble and appropriate for meek little Jinger.  

I am starting to really wonder what her wedding dress is going to look like.  I just hope she doesn't wear a cardigan over it.

I removed the photo from my post. It's still on that tumblr and still on the family's website. I just thought the speculation about just how much we could see was become a bit degrading to Jinger. Some lazy tabloid could've used it for a clickbait story.

Well, cardigans with wedding dresses are apparently a thing.

I just hope if she does wear one, she springs for a nice, sparkly, pretty one that at least looks bridal.  Or she could go bare armed for a change and stick her bridesmaids with the sweaters since wearing them is a family requirement and a certain percentage of Duggar females MUST be shown wearing them at all times. 

Do the Duggars allow their married daughters to act as bridesmaids?  Because actually, making Jessa wear a hideous sweater during the wedding would be kind of awesome.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that she'll go with sleeves, whether it's with the dress itself or a shrug/bolero. Please, not a cardigan. I picked a perfectly lovely modest boho dress for her, but  alas, the file is too big to post here. It's from the same designer who did Jessa's dress, Allure Bridal Modest. 

I think the popsicle pic looks like Chelsea Market, which would make sense with the pictures taken on the High Line.

Muffy loves that hideous mustard rag...she prolly stretched it out with her pregnant belly. The word schmatte applies to most clothes the Duggettes wear!

Jana would have to throw in a Moochelle-sized modesty panel into this, totally ruining it. I'm not sure how they feel about the OBVIOUSLY open embroidery on the sleeves. I think lace with a illusion netting might be more acceptable for them.

We can find stuff out there that doesn't have to be bastardized by Duggar Modesty Standards. Jessa did it, so we have precedence here.

No way would Jinger wear anything but a white or slightly off white wedding dress and/or sweater.  I'm going to guess that she'll choose a pastel color for the brides maids.  A pastel pink or lavender - meek colors to go with her new meek personality.

Jing is very petite...they'd have to cut several inches off the dress, so there would be plenty of fabric for a well made modesty panel. The bridal shop should be the ones doing the alterations...they could still put sheer ivory to line the sleeve to suit the modesty standards...

I hope she wears classy and sexy shoes with about a 4 inch heel and a train  that is about 2 feet long so it doesn't overpower her total look because she is petite.  I also hope she wears her hair up in some sophisticated way and has silver and/or diamond earrings to help her look more mature.  Also - get rid of the thick eyeliner.

That's really the best dress for Jinger I've seen so far.  Most of the ones people are picking for her look pretty hideous to me.   I actually like the pinkish print bridesmaid dresses with the pinkish/peachish sweaters.

I forget who messed up Jill's dress. Was the shop responsible for that mess? If so, it proves that Boob isn't ponying up for quality. If he won't pay for Jill the Snitch, he's not paying extra for Jinger. It's either Jana or nothing.

I will bet you that NONE of this will happen! She MAY step up to ballet flats, which is more than either of her sisters wore (even Jessa at a bloody NOVEMBER wedding). Fundie girls tend to wear their hair down, although I've seen some cute half-up stuff out there from fundie-lites of late As for earrings, don't bet against those horrible doorknockers they all seem to favor these days. Eyeliner? Not going anywhere! It's not like they're going to hire a professional makeup artist when JESSA is there!
