For me, it's way too early for me to know who to root for. Well, except for Victor/Joze/Paul. Totally rooting against those asshats and totally don't care if they have good qualities. And I'm not going to root for/against someone based on their politics. At the end of the day, these people are all a bunch of shallow famewhores to me, and the last thing I'm interested in is in their political views. Because when it comes to this show, I'm extremely shallow.

Finally got a dose of Bronte's "normal" voice on the feeds. Nope, can't handle that.

I hope Jozea goes, I hope the vote isn't close, and I hope it's a blindside. Maybe that will wake some of these people up.

I also just realized that I really REALLY hate the Roadkill power. It basically accomplishes the same thing as BoB really and it's going to end up just allowing the vets/their lackeys to have ultimate power every single week. Dammit!

No, he nominated Paul. Then Paul won veto, so Nicole is nominating Bridgette. 

As for the RoadKill game, I don't like it, but it's not as bad as Battle for the Block. Battle for the Block was too easily controllable by the group in control. Here, everyone has a shot at winning RoadKill. It's definitely not good (because one of the beautiful things about Big Brother is that the underdogs can possibly flip the game board upside down through winning a single HoH, and now this makes it so that you have to win HoH AND avoid having your opponent win RoadKill, which is annoying), but at least it is fairer. 

EDITED TO ADD: My apologies, Lady Calypso explained that I missed that Frank DOES get to pick the replacement because it was his nominee that got replaced. That's moronic. I have no idea why that is a thing.

Good point. I think my objection is the winner being able to negotiate for the replacement. I think if they want to do it like BB MVP, they should require the winner to predetermine who will be the replacement if the person they pick wins Veto. Which is what they did with the BB MVP.

Oh. I thought that it was that way, which is why the talk of Bridgette going up seemed so certain. I didn't know that they didn't pick the replacement when picking the initial nominee. I'd prefer the old style myself.

In other news: can BB please give Frank some Beano and some clean, properly sized pixel underwear so he doesn't get a staph infection? I don't remember, was he this gassy during his first season?

ETA: The history of Bronte's name was weirdly fascinating. She was a Britney leaving the hospital but her mom met seven babies around the same time named Britney so they renamed her to Alaska. They called her Alaska for awhile and around the time she was around one, she was renamed Bronte thanks to her aunt hating her name and convincing her parents.

I would say it was a way to potentially save any of the vets if they were nominated and evicted too early. But that's a guess, kind of based off the time in 13 where Jordan, or Rachel, was about to get evicted, and then the 'convenient' duo twist saved both of their asses. 

Honestly, the teams thing, so far, has done very little but save a bunch of people from being nominated, and that's about it. Oh, and it gives them stupid ass team names. I'm waiting to see what they do with the teams next.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't there used to be a rule of no sunglasses on while in the house? I know it gone thrown out the window last season with Vanessa but it's a little irritating. Tiffany keeps saying that the bright lights overhead give her migraines which is a bit of a head shaker. Why cast someone or why let someone do the show if they can't stand the overhead lights? They're living in a giant television studio, for fuck's sake.

As much as I actually enjoy hearing about Jozea's complete stupidity, Paulie's my eye candy for the show. I'd be bummed if he was gone this early. They are under the impression that Nicole threw Bridgette under the bus re; Joz' house meeting. Don't know if it's true or not

In place of fan favourite Battle of the Block, we have a new competition. All the HGs compete one at a time in a timed event. The winner is informed of their win in the DR and it gives them the power to anonymously put a third nominee up for eviction. You can reveal the fact that you won to other HGs or you can keep it quiet. Veto competition comes after the new comp. If the third nominee wins Veto or is taken off the block with the Veto, that same comp winner gets to name a replacement. 

It's basically the BB MVP power from BB15, but back then America voted for who they thought should get the power (and it went to Rachel's sister Elissa for the first three weeks). After three weeks, they changed it and America voted the third nominee on the block. 

So, Jozea and Paulie were put on the block by Nicole. Paul was nominated "anonymously" by Frank. Paul won Veto so Frank will have to name a replacement nominee in the DR and we'll know who it is after the Veto ceremony. We'll have three people on the block for the live shows until BB decides that the twist has fizzled and we'll go back to two.

It's as clear as mud, isn't it?

So, I'm watching this Jozea smackdown with Frank, Corey, Paulie, and Nicole. Honestly, Frank's making me laugh really hard because he detests Jozea and is talking about wanting to just stare at him as he gets blindsided, and how he wants to hide Jozea's hat before the live show. Also, Jozea has apparently told people like Nicole that he knows big celebrities and Nicole's response is that she doesn't even care. Frankie 2.0, Jozea, you are not.

Corey is quickly surpassing Paul and Jozea to become my most hated houseguest. Reading how he was berating Jozea earlier for "erroneously" believing that it was under Bush's presidency that Osama Bin Laden was killed and not Obama's. He even went as far as to tell Jozea he needed to go back and read up on history some more. I mean you can't make this stuff up! He then went on to praise Trump. Of course.

I'm liking this more relaxed, reflective James on the hammock with Tiffany.  I think he learned from last season that he doesn't have to be "on" all the time.  I like the pranks as much as anyone else, but I thought they got old and kinda exhausting after awhile.

There's a conversation happening now between Frank and Tiffany. There are some awkward silences, but he's being genuinely interested in Tiffany's life. Honestly, I'm very impressed by Frank at the moment. There's alcohol tonight and he's complaining about how most of the guys (except for Paulie and Jozea) have gotten two beers and a glass of wine, while all the others only got a glass and a half of wine. There's a lot of reflection and I love the somber moment with them. It's very relaxing, as long as I can ignore the drunken laughter coming from the other side of the yard. 

Damnit, Frank is quickly becoming one of my favourites this season. Him, Tiffany, and Paulie are the three I like the most right now. James, Natalie, and Zakiyah are probably close behind. Everyone else I either couldn't care less about, or dislike.
