Season 18 Live Feed Discussion: Their Lives are Almost as Boring as Ours!

Thanks for the update on Day.  I have the feeds but with 4 of them, bathroom breaks and some errands you miss jewels like this and they are not usually reported on feed threads anywhere.

I'm reading through recaps of the meeting and saw this gem from Jozea: "If everyone stuck together in the world, there would be no armies, no fighting, no wars. So why can't we do that in here?" Amazing!

NGL I really wish there was some way Paulie would go. He adds nothing. He's not a good player nor is he entertainingly stupid. And all he'll ever be is a sycophant for the vets.

Do you subscribe to the feeds?  Joezea sucks the energy out of a room and dominates the conversation, even in a one on one.  His behavior is loud, obnoxious, vulgar and sophomoric.  There is no room to hear strategy or get to know anyone better when he is there.  He loves to talk about farts.  A lot.

I don't know the time stamp, but it was right after Paul was up in the HOH with her rambling on that he knew Paulie was trying to drive a wedge between him and Jozea.  Paul eventually left and she started talking to us.  She sighed and explained she wasn't with him but she has to play that way.

Yea I watch the feeds but, thankfully, I haven't had much exposure to Paulie yet. He seems like he's literally a Cody clone to me and Cody was fun for about a minute but he got old real fast.

Although I did read that he said he only flirts with 'friends and family' which explains the Calafiore men's goodbye kisses!

I'm also reading that Nicole has 'caught feelings' for Corey. Fuck. Ugh why was she cast? Waste of space. And Corey, Nicole? REALLY?! She was there when he said the 'gaily vote to evict Jozea' thing and she still likes this guy? Idiot.

I'm also reading through recaps because I gave up trying to load the feeds that wouldn't load. So I woke up this morning and read some of the recap. They got alcohol last night and ended up playing a bunch of games, like truth or dare, and spin the bottle.

I also read that Bronte and Natalie might have actually split off from Bridgette, dismantling their alliance? I don't know whether that's true or not.

Paul wants James out next, because apparently James was the only one mad when he won POV. Like, ok bud, James might have been the only one to SHOW that he was mad. He also thinks James is more of a threat than Nicole. They also want Corey out because of his allegiance to the vets. Oh, and Paul apparently is positive Nicole likes him and he wants to use that to his advantage.

Tiffany also told Paulie about Vanessa and the two seem to have bonded over being the siblings. I am going to really watch the feeds today to get a better feel of all the houseguests, but especially Paulie. He seems like a fun guy (besides all the gross talks he has with the other guys). I grow more disappointed with Corey now, but somehow, I still have some hope that he's still a good guy, just misguided. I could be totally wrong, though.

I'm impressed with what people have been saying about Frank now. I hated him in season 14, mostly because Grodner was trying so hard to keep him and Boogie in the game. He has grown up in four years and I'm really happy to see a new and improved Frank.

You know I was talking about Joezea, right?  Not Paulie.

I have seen a good bit of Jozea and tbh he doesn't bother me. He's entertaining at least. It annoys me less that he thinks he's running the game than it does that the vets do. I'm just SO against vets.

I keep reading about Frank being so much better now, too, which surprises me. I watched him almost all day yesterday and he was the same ol' Frank to me.

Although, one change he's definitely made is that he uses deodorant now, so good for him. Or more like good for the other HGs.

Oh I forgot I wanted to ask if anyone knows if Tiffany (I almost typed Vanessa again lol!) has explained why she told everyone she is a middle school teacher when she's actually a high school teacher? These idiots lying about their jobs cracks me up. Especially in this case because it literally makes no sense.

That poor boy.  I know when that happened.  In the laundry room he was telling Nic that he was thinking of not using the veto.  Because she is a kind person, she told him why that was not a good idea.  He saw crush, she saw idiot.

This has to be a misunderstanding.  Has to be.

Truth or dare had a couple of dare kisses: Paul/Bronte and Paulie/Zakiyah. Corey took a spit shot from Victor. Corey also got upset at a truth question asking if he had ever slept with two different women in 24 hours, said it made him look bad. It was pretty dull overall.

Jozea rambled on for hours, he and Paul held Paulie hostage until the wee hours with "game talk" and I use that term extremely loosely.

I should go back and watch the Jeff interview and see if she says 'high school' there. I guess maybe the show just messed up and put the wrong thing on the occupation slot of her graphic. Because otherwise it just makes NO sense to say you're a middle school teacher when you're a high school teacher.

His stock really did go up with me last night when he told Paul to go up to apologize to Nicole for his "bitch" comment and that was not cool.  It was really nice to see, and Paul needed to hear it.

BTW, the reason that even came up and why Frank knew about it was Corey was steamed and kept saying how he was going to beat Paul's ass.  I don't know if Nicole really has any feelings or not for him, but I think he might for her.  He was quite angry last night.  Somebody is going to have to make sure he stays calm.  Nicole has talked so much about how her showmance messed up her last game that I want to say she's guarding against that.  But I could be wrong.

One thing I missed with Paulie-- why does he hate Natalie so much?  I barely ever watch Natalie.

I think Bronte probably sealed her fate with Jozea's powwow.

It's true. She told everyone she's a middle school math teacher when she's really a high school one. I think because high school math is more advanced than middle school, and she wanted to make herself seem less knowledgable? I don't know. But she told Paulie the truth and he's the only one who knows at this point.

Paulie seems genuine in his friendship with Tiffany. One similarity between Tiffany and Vanessa's game is that Tiffany does have a few overlapping alliances as well as a side alliance now. Vanessa had Austin's Angels, F&G, and 6th Sense + Steve. Tiffany has 8-Pack, Fatal 5, is super close with Michelle, and she has Paulie.

I guess, to be fair to me, I was a casual viewer of only the episodes until halfway through season 15, so I only know the Frank they presented in the episodes.

Yeah, I'm trying to find information online for Tiffany and a lot of the outlets say she's a middle school teacher. I SWEAR she also said middle school teacher in the opening talking heads for her, although I know she said she was a middle school teacher when introducing herself to the other houseguests. I think she is a middle school teacher, and maybe misspoke about the high school part? I'd have to watch the Jeff interview.

Ah, ok, so this is interesting. I take back what I said, obviously. So Tiffany seems to be getting closer to Paulie if she's only told him. I'd get down with a Paulie/Tiffany alliance. We can call them Team Better Siblings (at the moment, I consider them better than their siblings).

Also, fun fact: searching Tiffany Rousso will take you to a porn star in most of the searches. I won't click on them, but I'm fairly positive it's not our Tiffany.

I can see why he may be slightly offended by the question, but he does seem extremely touchy when it comes to his sexuality. Not just his sexual preference, but now the amount of sex he may have. I just find that interesting.

Confused.  I thought Paulie and Z were hanging out together in a budding relationship way.  No?

I know they've been flirting a lot, with a lot of cuddling and touching, but I question how legit it is. I feel like both are playing each other, so I'll wait to see if it grows into something more. I'd be ok with it, to be honest. They're both probably the two most attractive people in the house at the moment, and they're both fairly harmless.

Yeah, Day and Z were watching Paulie and Tiff from inside the HOH, and Day told Z to keep her eye on that.

Ahhhhh, we might have some friction there.  I think Z can handle the situation with grace.  No need for coaching from Day who told Tiff to go out there and fight!

I think Z and Paulie's relationship is a bit more superficial than Tiffany and Paulie's. I'm not sure I've seen Z and Paulie talk much game by themselves.

Vanessa was on Reality Recaps last night and she thinks the Fatal 5 alliance will disintegrate pretty quickly because of Day. She said that was Day's problem last season too. That she couldn't stick to her original alliance and she thought she'd have learned better but based on her behavior with the vets and Z, Day will be the cause of that alliance falling apart. She's probably right. I also think Day will fall apart the first time she's on the block.

And I kind of don't understand how these people (even the dumb ones) don't see through her. Her poker face is so bad and it's so easy to tell when she's lying. I wish Day was a better player bc I love her DRs.

The reason Cory may not like Natalie could be the reason's I don't, so far anyway.

I have not seen anything genuine from her.  That may be there, I just have not seen it.  Seems she came in with the plan to make everyone like her and think she is the cutest little thing.  She has mentioned her size a number of times.  We can see your size.

Her flirting seems forced and her plan to be the best most fun HG.

She and James were lying on perpendicular sofas with their heads at the ends closest to each other.  She kept reaching over, giggling and grabbing James' hands.  He kept pulling them away, she kept grabbing until finally James tucked them in his armpits.  He wanted no part of what appeared to be fake hilarity.

I saw Z say, to Paulie, that she liked their conversation because she like to talk deeply about things.  So they have talked but that doesn't matter.  Maybe to serious for Paulie?   If he is more drawn to Tiff, he is.  The heart rules the head.

It's a shame about Natalie. The only conversation I've seen her have is the feminist/double standards talk with Bronte and Bridgette on night 1. That's actually the moment where I thought she was great and so intuitive with what's going on in the game. I'm not fond of her act of flirting with guys either, but I guess I like her stance on the game and on the double standards in the game. I like her more than Bronte, but I haven't seen enough of any of them, I guess.

I can see that about Day breaking apart the alliance. I already see the cracks with her and Nicole (I don't think the two actually like each other all that much) and Day's dominant personality is going to wane on people hard, especially when she gets put up on the block.

I have to remember that they've only been in the house for less than two weeks now. They're all still getting to know each other and even though relationships move very fast because of the 24/7 aspect of the game, there'll still be a lot to explore with these houseguests and how they interact with others.

Day spoke directly to the camera with no one to witness and said she and Nic are going to be friends for life.  At this point I think she believes that.  We are only a week in and things change.  But for now that looked genuine.

Why the punishment of those pixilated costumes?  I never knew how the "earned" those.  And for how long?

Third place - Mysteryville? Mysteryburg? - in the first comp with staying on the rockets.

Well, Bronte made a rape joke, so there goes that.

Honestly I feel like I have no one to root for already. It's early but still usually by now there's someone I really like. Maybe Zakiyah.

I thought her rape remark was in reference to something he did using the word rape.  She was angry.  No joke involved.

I like Zakiyah, too.  It is too early for me to root for someone.  So much can happen.

I'm (almost) ashamed to admit that I watched that. They got booze last night and I was expecting shenanigans but there really wasn't much there. The one shining moment was during Truth or Dare last night, which really became Dare or Dare. I can't recall the circumstances but Bronte was asked to do something (maybe when she was supposed to kiss Paul? Something to do with Paulie?) and she said really loudly something to the effect of "May I remind you that your ass is on the block this week?" The whole table got awkwardly quiet for a split second before they all started laughing. She did kiss Paul in the end, who blushed rather adorably.

He had absolutely NO PROBLEM during their weird spin-the-bottle/dare game to get on the floor with no shirt one and let Victor give him a "birdie shot", where Victor took a sip of wine and dropped it in Corey's mouth and on his face from above. He's so worried about his reputation because of his coaching job and he's so worried about looking gay on television/the feeds, but he cheerfully volunteers for stuff like this. Sadly, he's still kinda dull to me even with all of that.

Well, shit. After Bridgette went off to mope for most of the night about probably being the replacement nom and pulled out my most hated phrase in the BB house ("I felt bullied"), I was liking Bronte after that awkward comment she made up at the top of my post.

9 minutes ago, peachmangosteen said:

Also I'm just gonna admit it, I don't hate Paul. I think a lot of his aggressive obnoxiousness is an act tbh. And he can be very endearing to me.

I hate to admit it, but I'm coming around on him. He's still loud and obnoxious and fame-whorey like whoa, but when he turns that off, he's not that bad. And like I said, that adorable blush he had going when Bronte laid one on him was cute. Now that I said that, he'll probably do something to annoy me again and I'll regret saying this.

Paul is currently earnestly telling stories about all the homeless people he's helped and how this one guy talked to him on the bus and he never talks to anyone and just how he's basically a saint. Basically he was giving a serious of Ted Talks. LOL. It was amazing. I'm sorry I can't hate this guy!

Victor and Jozea are currently talking about how hard it's going to be to tell Paulie he's going. LMAO!

I popped on the feeds and saw Victor wearing that hat in the backyard while shirtless and immediately thought I was watching Austin - er, I mean, Judas.

ETA: And then we have Tiffany looking and sounding like Vanessa on the other feed, and Jozea with a towel draped over his head like Audrey in her blanket. I think I have PTSD from last season.

I was dying when the comparison of the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall and Trump's Great Wall of Ridiculousness were being compared like they were the same thing.

Frank to Jozea: "It's not the same thing! Read a fucking book!"

Thank you, Frank.

ETA: I'm watching with BBViewer and it's behind by a couple minutes and I don't even care. I'm enjoying watching Corey sound like an idiot. I'll refresh it once he stops saying ridiculous things.

What shocks me about Corey is that you'd have to be a special kind of stupid to not just be homophobic, but to think that it makes sense to PLAN to make a gay joke on national TV. "Hey, what could go wrong?"

From that convo it's pretty clear Frank is also a Trump supporter so just more reasons for me to hate him! Also, Michelle is as well.

When Tiffany found out about the politics talk she ran right over there for the drama. A girl after my own heart! I would so do that, but then end up regretting it because I would go insane trying to keep my mouth shut.

I'm rewinding back to watch the disaster that was that politics talk since I missed some and Corey thinks Bush caught Osama Bin Laden. This boy, I swear! I think after that Jozea should've just bowed out. You can't reason with someone that's the level of stupid Corey is at.

Bridgette and Da'Vonne were/are talking in the lounge and brought up the fact that Michelle passed out during a comp, possibly during the last one. You'd think a nutritionist would know better and eat and drink before going outside for a comp.
