There are thousands and thousands of Jules-types in NYC.  I live surrounded by them.  They are SAHMs (and Jules now has some kind of product in at Whole Foods), and routinely have nanny and housekeeper help, some live-in.  I have none of that but it's not my reality.  Jules has been married for a long time to someone with substantial earnings, apparently.  Some couples have separate accounts, some have everything held jointly, and on and on.  Whatevs.   Like the sun rising you can always find people having a real vituperative attitude towards a perceived as spoiled SAHM.

I had no preconceptions of either Jules or Michael Wainstein, but from the start there seemed to be something askew. I had read before the first episode aired that Jules had dreamed about being one of the cast members.  Who does that really, what rich socialite, 'stay at home' mom actually has big dreams of being a cast member on the Real Housewives, particularly when they have obvious issues that they'd prefer to hide like anorexia and a philandering husband? Wasn't Julianne Wainstein almost inviting catastrophe by joining the cast? When I watched the first episode that she and Michael appeared in, I immediately thought, "this woman can't cook, can't make coffee, she's a terrible housekeeper, and needs a nanny even though she doesn't have her own business to run". so what exactly keeps Michael happy in that relationship? Those were my initial thoughts although I liked her and thought she had a young, sweet outlook towards the others, I couldn't help but wonder what kept their relationship moving forward. As it turns out it wasn't moving forward at all and there had possibly been many affairs that they've managed to sweep under the rug for the sake of the children. When sex is made to be the motivator and driving force behind a marriage, it's doomed. No marriage could survive forever based on sex. There has to be other things that bond a couple emotionally. Sex was part of Michael's every day life being a major player in the internet pornography business and I'm sure it was that way behind the closed doors of their apartment.  Michael had other sexual opportunities I'm sure and I don't imagine him as being the kind of guy that is able to resist them.

He knew who she was when he married her and in their circle, she is not that unique, imo.

I don't think that she is worthless as she maintained her part of her marriage, imo.

She implies that her own parents are well off (her comment about her mother never having to cook I think it was). Or maybe it is just that her father cooked rather than her mother? One wonders why they didn't warn her, but maybe to them it was no big deal.

Which brings me to her once again owing money that she is unwilling to pay. But she has money to start a business. Sad when it is considered no big deal to owe money and paying your debts is something to be applauded.

LIMOM, I totally agree.  I think Jules is a pretty nice person, and I don't see her as a do-nothing worthless person at all.  I don't understand that perspective.  And if you're some hedge dude, and you've been married for 8 years and have 2 children, yeah, maybe help your SAH spouse pay for fees for an incredibly coveted apartment.  That is a great asset to have.  Just my opinion.

My bet would be on Mario as well. I remember several times when Mario, Ramona and Sonja were together and Mario's body language strongly suggested to me that he was doing Sonja. I remember one pic I also saw where the three of them were together wearing bathing suits and Mario's back to was to Ramona and he was turned towards Sonja. Looked like he was with Sonja, not Ramona. We invest in small companies. What you invest in is a reflection of where your head is at. There are plenty of options to invest in. You don't need to invest in porn sights to make money.

Add onto Bethenny's repulsive behavior was her saying on her last WWHL visit, that she knew (during filming) that there were real problems in Jules's/Michael's marriage. I think Bethenny always has to prove she is right, even at the expense of others. I suspect she would have blamed pregnancy hormones and the stress of a "high risk pregnancy" had she thought of it because nothing is ever her fault. Someone else always drives her to do/say whatever nasty/mean things she does/says or it is because of her childhood/parents. It is never because she is a nasty, angry, selfish, self destructive, jealous, mean/spiteful person in her mind.

Early on when they started talking about Jill, Kelly started to be very uncomfortable.  Who really cares about Gummi Bears?  It is okay for someone to make a misstatement and let it pass.  When Kelly first got to St. John's she was quite happy and I think she felt like she was a target.  And she was.  As it relates to Jules, Bethenny knows Jules freezes up when she is talking to her and won't let her finish.  Granted it is five seconds Bethenny won't get back when Jules stutters and hesitates but it does help Jules one bit when Bethenny starts making fun of her of saying things like, "you need a verb."  It is plain mean.

In retrospect I understood what Kelly was saying about chef vs. cook and she should have left it alone.  Kelly had been hanging out with Sam Talbot, who is a chef.  I think Kelly believed that chefs, cheffed for a living and she had not seen that side of Bethenny.   She was thinking restaurant and Bethenny was off to her margarita empire by they time the went to Scary Island.

I know it's simple to blame one party when a marriage goes south, but there was something wrong with that household from the get go.

One of the first danger signs are people that brag about being inept when it comes to basic household chores.  I once dated a woman who bragged about NOT being able to cook - no, I wasn't looking for someone to slave away in the kitchen, but I got tired of cooking or eating out. No, not all woman are or should be domestic divas, but then again, not all women should be parents, too?  It was easy to see that that household wasn't firing on all cylinders.

The way they introduced her was strange. It almost sounded like this Dude groomed her to be his eye candy. He wanted an exotic model type  who was  Kosher. Obviously to satisfy his parents who probably held the purse strings at the time. So it is not a surprise that they are getting a divorce. It is only a surprise that it lasted this long.

She is not so clueless after all....

And not for nothing, it was really courageous of her, to reveal that she actually suffers from anorexia instead of simply making up some inane bullshit like some others on the franchise.

Hopefully, she will bounce back, it looks like she has some strong support around her.

Didn't Jules imply that she's smarter than she lets on or something to that effect? If so, Chica's antennae was pinging that evil was afoot and she wanted documented footage that she was helpless/ the damsel in distress in order to get the courts to assist her in maintaining her in the manner she was accustomed to.

She didn't limit her disease revelation to anorexia, she said something like "if you can name it, I had it."  So, all of them.

Actually, you can change the had to "have" because she said it's like any other addiction, you are never cured.
