It always cracks me up to see Peggy Noonan & George Will. I keep wondering if David Brinkley will show up & mumble about politics.

George Will is not a fan of the newly bearded Adam Kissinger ( sp?) . Will said that Assad will win the civil war against the other Syrians with Russia's help. He is not going anywhere. Kissinger wanted to bomb the Syrian air force for using chemical weapons on civilians.

Peggy is wearing a beige scarf & Pearls from the June Cleaver collection.

Joe was having trouble saying the word expulcate.

Joe is mad at Trump for blaming all the Republicans who are involved in the investigations.

Tim Kaine tried to defend his views on having more border security. Tim offered Trump 25 billion to fix the border.

Yuck! We finally move to FL earlier this year and the weaselist of weasels is running for Senate.

Meanwhile back in my home state of MN my new favorite Richard Painter is thinking of doing the same. Bad timing?

Lucky you!. It's still cold in Oakville. We had a bit of snow on Sunday. Florida has better weather.

I am surprised that Rick Scott won in 2010 & 2014. The voter turnout is lower for Governor's races than federal elections.

"So u r right!"  That just set afire my last nerve.  Way to break down the legalese while knowing your worth, genius.
I wish I hadn't read the comments beneath her post.  Yes, I'm aware of the irony, but Twitter and Facebook comments are the least productive, potentially most destructive, use of any sort of communication.  They're scary, they're alarming, they're deeply discouraging.  There is nothing informative, just attempts to take pot shots and win the snarkiest or meanest comment.  Mean often succeeds, humorous almost never.
It's this mentality that causes CNN not to do deep pieces on global news.  No major news outlet's goal is to solely inform, it's also to maintain a level of friction so the network is more entertaining.

I get tired of the crossfire pundit battles. I was trying to watch Meet The Press on Sunday & you can tell right away who is going to be or anti GOP. It's getting boring.

The Canadian TV news shows like Question period have people from different political parties on but they aren't as hostile towards each other.

Too much emphasis on Zuckerberg today.   Why does Scarborough keep touting him as a Presidential candidate?   Reminds me of the crush he had on Jared Kushner.

Characterizing what Pruitt has been doing as "blunders" is gaslighting.  He's been very deliberate in his theft of taxpayer funds for his jaunts to Morocco and Paris, complete with an entourage, in private jets or first class.  He saw Tom Price get fired for that, so he has no excuse of "not knowing."  He deliberately searched out a provision in the Clean Water Act and deliberately misused it to give huge raises to his cronies, against the wishes of the WH which did not approve those raises, and against the purpose of the provision.  Virtually rent free housing for him, and free housing for his daughter in that condo owned by energy lobbyists whom he subsequently awarded contracts to is not a blunder - it's bribery.  Pruitt was an AG - he's not new to the law or to corruption.  Call him out for what he is instead of softening his actions to "blunders" as if he wasn't doing it knowingly.  Why is this panel pretending Pruitt isn't corrupt?  I really don't get it when it's so obvious.

Pruitt's entourage is almost as big as Joe's at the GOP convention in 2016. Pruitt should resign but he won't. I think Trump is afraid that a new EPA director wouldn't get confirmed by the Senate.

I will never forget the show that Mika & Joe did after the WHCD in 2009 or 2010. Mika was wearing sunglasses. They did it outside. They were hungover.

Hey, Mika got her Women's power segment back at 8:50 a.m. Tina Brown said "Amazing " Five Times. She used to be a first block guest on Morning Joe. Now she is reduced to the last 5 minutes of the show. Hillary Clinton will moderate a panel! They will discuss the #metoo movement.

I thought Tina Brown would discuss how the #MeToo movement affected the panelist of Morning Joe. ? Halperin, Tavis Smiley, Harold Ford Jr,

Scott has more money than he knows what to do with, and so he spends it on getting himself elected. For the gubernatorial races, he flooded the air with feel-good ads and won over the gullible citizens of FL (of which I am one . . . er, not gullible but, yes, a Floridian). I fear that he will win again, even though Nelson is fairly well-regarded.

And, Oakville, I love the June Cleaver collection reference. Did Peggy clutch her pearls at any point?  :)

I visited Florida during the 2016 election. I was shocked by how many political ads there were on TV. I would freak out if that happened here. It was Murphy vs Rubio back then.

Leave it to Beaver was one of my favourite shows when I was growing up. Mika used to wear pearls on Morning Joe.

Peggy always dresses up. I like her because I can go get a coffee in the kitchen & come back before she finishes her sentence. Every word she says is measured.

Watching the clip of Trump discussing the " break in" at his lawyers office, does anyone know who was the asshole shouting, "why don't you fire they guy? Just fire him." Was that a journalist or does Trump have people in the background yelling things out for him.

Oakville this made me laugh out loud as the Cubs finally got to have their season opener today.  The only reason I know this is because one of the biggest beef and hot dog franchises has been advertising a dollar off a dog and fries on Opening Day.  I got the email three days in a row . . . let's play ball!

I hate cold weather. We had snow "flurries" today. It's annoying. The USA may have many political difficulties but you do have better weather. Because emotionally she has never shifted out of the high school gear.  She still gets pissed when she's not getting enough attention, preens when she does and would eat glass to be part of the popular kids group.

It amazes me at how lucky Mika is to have such a famous mom & dad . In Mika's first book, "All things at Once " , she told the story of her  dropping  hot soup into the lap of the late President of China ,Deng Xiaoping's & nearly ran over President Carter in a golf cart. Based on what I have read, the Brezezinski's are intellectuals & Mika is not.

It's ironic that Mika probably makes more money than both of her brothers who are intellectuals & one of them was appointed by President Obama to Ambassador to Sweden.

Wednesday Recap. Joe is in the bunker. Mika is on set. KCDC is in the small library. It took 17 minutes for Mika to question Kasie!. Kasie got a lightning intro. Boo!.

Today's topic is will Trump fire Mueller? It's the usual cast of characters.

Mika is rewearing her dark blue navy top.

This show needs more Kasie! & less Bunker Joe.

For years , I railed against Joe for wearing fleece on the set. Now he doesn't he even bother showing up on the set but he wears a nice suit.

I will see what else is on TV this morning.

Joe made fun of Senators who didn't understand Facebook. They asked dumb questions to Zuckerberg

  • Love 3

I really was going to try and watch them today but as Oakville noted in his post it's more of the same old same old but what finally shoved my hand over to the remote was Joe making fun of the senators who were clearly outgunned in questioning Zuckerberg.  Of all people to make fun of someone that has a lesser grasp of technology . . .

  • Love 4

They go through the trouble of calling Richard Haas back to the set to talk about tRumps's latest Syria tweet, get him all mic'd up, etc, only to have JoeBlow give a 20 minute diatriabe while Haas just stands there, then when Joey runs out of breath, Mika turns to Haas and says, 'Ok, you're dismissed.' She seriously said that.  I wish Groupie Mika and Rock "star" Joe would just go on permanent tour.

Well, this is no fun to even snark on anymore.  I tuned in around 7:30 and enjoyed hearing Donnie Deutsch's opinion...then what appears?  Joe from the bunker, pontificating.  At least Chris Cuomo respects the guests enough to show up.  He was doing a really good one-on-one interview with Madeleine Albright.   I switched to CNN and CBS This Morning.  MSNBC...are you listening?  And because I can't say it enough....I cannot cannot stand Meek-a.  Especially when she tries to flex her asking-question skills.

Are there people somewhere who like this show?   All I ever see or hear is snarking, cynicism and derision in relation to it.    All richly deserved, IMHO, but still, for a show to remain on the air somebody has to like it.    A lot of somebodies, actually.  But who are they?

I'm able to hate-watch a show for a loooong time... but this one I just can't anymore; maybe all that are left are the hate-watchers?

  • Love 5

What was up Joe's butt? I didn't see much, I saw Donnie talking about Cohen, didn't even hear whatever cuss word he used that he got so scolded by Joe, who didn't miss an opportunity to remind everyone that they can't go anywhere without people walking up to them and telling them how much they love the show, which according to his Twitter feed, is complete horseshit.

They have done nothing but talk about a "porn star" for a month, but they're worried about kids hearing Donnie swear?

I don't watch, either, I'll turn it on for a sec when I get done with whatever I'm watching while having coffee/breakfast (Marvelous Mrs Maisel), and then I switch to Today or GMA.

It's a clusterfuck of epic proportions.  I know we joke but I'm really wondering if Joe & Mika are edging toward the end of their relationship, business and personal, if there's even any difference in the two.

I'm telling you if I ever hear on the news that there is a sniper on the top of Rockefeller Center shooting into the crowd I'm going to know it's Kasey Hunt. Because the pain on her face, even though it appears for a second, when she's there trying to be a serious journalist and they're doing that lightning bolt AM radio DJ schtick they do, she's going to one day lose it. I mean it could be like "Russia has just sent a nuclear missile towards the u.s. and Kasey hunt, (insert lightning bolt and graphic,) is reporting on it."

I am pleased to report that Showbuzz Daily states that ratings for Monday April 9 dropped to 924k & .11 in the Key demo. It’s down 100k in the past two weeks.

One women repeatedly doing that to another woman on a national broadcast (obviously relishing the power that allows her to do so while ignoring Kasie's discomfort) reveals the superficiality and hypocrisy behind Mika's Know Your Value schtick. She wrote in All Things At Once that "this business eats its young" so she can not be unaware of what she's doing. I won't have even a little sympathy for Mika when her sordid romance wrapped in a pretty bow comes to an end. In public.

I wonder if they'll prep for tomorrow's show and have a cogent approach to their 3 hours?  There's a lot going on, and they could line up a long list of experts to explicate and predict the current state of affairs [stormy daniels pun intended]:
This may very possibly be the run up to an actual, hot, shooting war in Syria where Russia is the opponent, and not even by proxy.  We may be at war with them soon.  Trump's tweets are unhinged and insane.
That puerile douche bag Ryan is retiring.  There's a special place in history saved for that sack of pus where he'll spend eternity lumped in with the Southern sabre-rattlers hoping to divide the nation in the late 1850's.

Agree Mika needs to stop treating Kasie like her pet.  I even tweeted at Kasie once that she doesn't deserve to be treated like that, they are insulting her, and she's the journalist, not those two bozos.

She does not need the exposure, she runs her ass off all day at Congress, then hosts two hours on Sunday night.

I'd tell Joe & Mika to fuck off if I was her.  "I know my value, and appearing on this shit show isn't helping it".

He was on CNN this morning and was a total dick to Alison.  To be honest, I was shocked at his behavior (Alison basically pressed him as to when are we going to see these new things you have been hinting about.  Apparently he is tired of that question because he basically said he can't answer right now and if that isn't ok with you then stop asking me to be on your program/network).  She handled it professionally but I wonder if CNN will be lining him up anytime soon.

He could be exhausted, but then don't book yourself on these shows. Nicole kept pressing him on the dvd and he said flat out, I'm not showing you everything we have. This is a chess game and so far we've made good moves.

TBF, everyone does ask him the same questions over and over, and he tells them "not now". It would get tiresome.
