B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat

Recommended Posts

Taylor's every action betrays her defiant words. If she had any actual confidence in Ridge's "commitment", she wouldn't hang on to him like a leech. He probably couldn't even go to the mailbox without her right behind him. His commitments mean nothing, and at any moment he could decide to drop her, which will happen the moment Ridge sees Brooke with another man.

The dress was underwhelming, giving "fancy folded napkin" vibes, but KKL looked stunning.

I did crack up at Taylor and Steffy peeping around the corner looking like two meerkats. 🤣

You and me both, @Crashcourse.

I'm counting down the days til Nick returns and AFAIC, Beige Meerkat can have the Hobosexual. But I enjoyed this more than I should have.

Re:  Brooke wearing the show stopper gown and Ridge's appreciative smile:  as much as I want Brooke away from him and his toxicity. I did enjoy the hurt expression on Beige and Steffy's face--anything and I do mean ANYTHING that causes Steffy any amount of pain is a plus in my book.

I know this is completely random, but I want Bill to offer Hope a job, simply because I want Hope as far away from Forrester as she can get and both of Beth's parents shouldn't be unemployed at the same time.  And it would also annoy the crap out of Steffy :)

Wouldn’t you think that Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum would check on their sister?  Finally Tweedle Dee wakes up and finds Brooke just in time. Who would have thought. In your face Taylor 😜.  Ridge has taste up his assnot only with his mediocre designs but choosing to stay with Rag Doll Taylor instead of the Golden Cooter Brooke.

If this was the real world, OSHA would have a field day with fines for not having a way to open the vault door from the inside.  Some vault, the wheel is only there for show and it takes a simple key to open it.

Question? Why is Christine there because she has nothing to do with fashion?  Why wouldn’t Lauren be there if it’s a true crossover?

How are they ready to do a full fashion show five minutes after getting the company back?

"We live together. We're building a future!" Beige, honey, you're squatting together at Eric's house. If you were really "building a future," you'd be out there getting your own place together.  But your hobo doesn't bother getting his own place, because he knows he'll just flop back and forth from daddy's house to Brooke's house until the day he dies. You're a placeholder to keep his bed warm until he decides Brooke has suffered enough penance for "betraying" him.

Also, did Beige just grab the sheets off their bed and call it a dress?

I laughed at Beige trying to tell on Brooke to Eric, and Eric not giving a single fuck, as he walks away with Brooke.

Carter spent yesterday begging Hope to take him back. And then today, he's right back at Pepe's side, not doing a single thing to discourage her, even though she's made it clear she's after him.

Steffy's friends with Heidi and Spencer?  That tracks.

1.) Who the flug are Heidi and Spencer?? Her hair was the strangest color of yellow, and he looked like a bloated doughy pantload.  Are they real life people?

2.) Maybe Ridge will give Taylor Trash an engagement ribbon.  That will cement their relationship.

3.) Did LaPew dip her head in a vat of Wesson Oil?  Ridge's hair looked less greasy.  And how much of her Eau de Toilet did she spray on those models if people in the crowd could smell them from the runway?  The sniffing scenes get more bizarre every time they happen.

4.) Brooke probably could have stated it better, but she was right.  In situations like that, if you don't have a job to do, you're in the way.

Beige's delusions crack me up. "Ridge will notice I'm missing and come looking for me," right after he waved Steffy off with zero concern when she was looking for her.

I'll be shocked if Beige hasn't twisted the lock-in to being something Brooke did to her by mid-week. We'll have months of her and Steffy ranting about how that was all Brooke's fault, and part of her dastardly plan to wear the show stopper to try to steal Beige's man.

I have to say that, at the end there, that very well may be the happiest I've seen Ridge look during TK's entire run on the show. Sorry, Beige, he just doesn't light up like that for you.  And watching Beige and her daughter helplessly watch it all from the sidelines was perfection. I can't wait until Steffy finds out that her beloved grandpa was the brains behind that and is pushing Ridge to go back to Brooke.

Those previews. It seems like Carter is the real slut here, just running back and forth between begging Hope to take him back and basking in Pepe's come-ons. And you just know that if Hope did stupidly take him back, he'd be cheating on her with Pepe before long. He'd just give up and go with Pepe now if he didn't need the validation of Hope thinking he's a good man, or something. It's clear he wants to bang Pepe, but he just can't get over the fact that Hope dumped him for letting her down.

They were MTV reality stars around 15-20 years ago. I never watched any of the MTV shows, but they were in Us Weekly incessantly back then. The gist of what I got from that was that they decided that being the "villains" of the show would get them a higher profile/more money, and they were very desperate famewhores. At one point, to get attention, she had like 10 plastic surgery procedures in the same day. I had no idea they were still even a thing until I saw they were going to be on for this fashion show.

Also, dear God, did I hear one of the Forresters saying they were doing a collaboration with Heidi and Spencer?  Please don't let them be on any more after this.

It also warms my heart to think of these Core Two actors who have been on the show since the very first episode.

For those who saw this in real time and those who've never seen it, the first scenes of Thursday's episode were an homage to the show's premiere in 1987.

ETA, TK is no RM.

I agree. I want Brooke to find her backbone with him and turn him down when he inevitably tries to get her back. Then he can slink back to Beige, and she'll pathetically take him back, knowing she's always going to be second choice and only has him because his first choice doesn't want him.

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing cuz wow, she really did look like a worn out dishrag. and RB does still look good.  And as good as KKL still looks, she's 10 years older than RB.  Idk, that supposed show-stopper looked very ordinary & unoriginal to me.  But the necklace was a stunning piece &  KKL looked great with it.

I give Heidi & Spencer credit for being able to keep themselves out there, despite having zero talent & being total bores.  Heidi desperately needs help with her hair color, which looks weird & way too yellow.  Yikes, Spencer sure has aged terribly.  Whatever, 2 more idiots I couldn't care less about & completely ignore.

Ah, today features Smuggy & Dishrag, looking miserable & with lots of pained expressions on their mugs.  Luv it!  And luv that Eric casually shut down Smuggy’s smugness.  Be gone, Smuggy!  Dishrag just can’t help herself from putting down Brooke, eh?  Very Greenlee of her.  This shit will backfire on ya, Dishrag.

It was almost a good day.  Until The Smelly Vampire jumped all over The Wimp.  Why oh why doesn’t he tell her to fuck the fuck off?  That woman is so creepy!

More with Spencer (looking bloated) & Heidi (with her weird neon yellow hair)?  Ew, make it stop, Show.

The very same.

Jack was supposed to be the reunion path for Brick, but KKL vetoed the idea of turning Brooke into a waffle between him and Ridge so they wrapped that up, gave custody to Brooke, who subsequently never had a word to say about him again,

Honestly, I'm beginning to lean towards yes, which is wild because if nothing else, OG Taylor was an absolute smokescreen and even Krista Allen channelled that energy despite being considerably less posh and uptight as OG Taylor.

Budig is giving nothing, which is just as much an issue of the poor writing as it is casting.

Yes, yes, they are and had the couple name of Speidi back then. And, of course, they are friends with Steffy. Of course.

But if we were supposed to be impressed by Steffy's friends?

wickedmovie-galinda.gif

If I weren't so busy rolling my eyes, I'd be pointing out how, once again, hypocritical Steffy "Don't Destroy the Sanctity of the Family Name/Business That Isn't Even My Family Name or Business Since I'm Actually a Marone" Fauxrester Finnegan was in ranting and raving about FC branching out with the jewelry, perfume lines, et al only to do exactly that and collaborate, apparently, with the couple whose 15 minutes of fame was up two decades ago.

I would love it if Jack returned. Although that would mean two Jacks. Not that we see Ted King on the show very much.

But having Nick back AND a prospect that isn't Liam, Finn, or Carter for Hope (and one that Steffy would have to keep her grubby hands off of because he'd be her half-brother/half-cousin) would be too much to ask for.

Scratch that - I forgot that Taylor carried Jack, but it was Brooke's egg due to a lab mixup. Making him a half-brother to Hope, Bridget, Rick, and RJ (and half-cousin to RJ).

I'll never forget how HT's Taylor shrieked loud and shrilly enough to crack glass when she found out. I would still like Jack to return to question both of his mothers as to why they've have nothing to do with him since, Taylor especially, as she was supposed to be his actual mother in terms of raising him, was beside herself over him crying a lot,  and couldn't get away from him fast enough when she found out Brooke was his bio-mom. But three is storyline gold to be mined out of this which, of course, means TPTB won't bother.

I wanted to high-five Eric one million times when he not only defended Brooke wearing the show-stopper, he explained it was all HIS idea: "It was ME. I did this."

Shutting down Beige, whining about Brooke's "big, splashy grab for attention."

Jealous much?

I love how she and her daughter both had to stand there and shut up and listen as Eric, THE head of the company, explain, as if they and Ridge were five, that "it was important the first showing since we took the company back was a sensation." Then him sharing how he was inspired to re-do the Portofino showstopper which featured Brooke, of course, and made Ridge fall in love with her all over again.

The piece de resistance?  Eric saying: “It was bold, it was beautiful, it was Brooke.”

Heck yes, it was.

Of course, Steffy still had to have her say, snitting to Eric that the focus was supposed to be on their designs, not on office politics or personal lives.

AYFKMWT?

She is the one who brought personal stuff into the workplace by firing Hope over what she thought she saw between Hope and Finn in the first place.

Eric was more patient with her than I would have been, saying he wanted everyone to be reminded of their company’s history and legacy. Brooke proved her hands were clean (not that she owed anyone any explanation, least of all these two), by revealing that Eric came to her at the last minute. That's when Ridge actually stops to ask if that's why Brooke was late and him paying Brooke any more attention than he already has is something Beige cannot handle, so she unhelpfully and unnecessarily explained how she accidentally locked herself and Brooke in the vault, claiming it wasn’t her intention to upset their plans. You just know that if she HAD known, she would have done it again in a nanosecond.

I loved watching Eric having zero Fs to give about her nonsense, saying that "Brooke hit the runway like fashion royalty. We changed the narrative. Nobody’s talking about the takeover anymore.” Nope.

Steffy is STILL not finished and STFU already. She claims that what Eric did wasn't necessary and again, who are YOU to challenge the company founder?

Steffy: "Our line speaks for itself."

I love that once again, Eric shut her down, saying that "Ridge and Brooke embody our history, one no one else has. Brooke saved the show." That finally gets her to stop talking.

The sour faces on Beige and Principessa were almost as amazing as their cracked ones on Friday's episode.

And Ridge already having to reassure a true-to-form insecure Beige doesn't bode well for their latest reunion, although I wish they would stay together forever or until cancellation.

La Pew was good for a chuckle when she first came on but now it’s ridiculous. Take your Eau De Toilette and get out. Why does she have to be there all the time? Perfumes are developed in a lab not in the fashion house. Unless she’s trying to capture everyone’s essence.

Ridge- hair gel with a hint of sweaty balls.

Steffy - Notes of a stick rotting from being up the ass too long.

Brooke- Cookies and Nookie

Carter - Cool water by Davidoff

Eric- Honey and Teddy bears

Why does the vault have a monitor?  Also, how can the white dress be a show stopper when it was already was a show stopper?  Isn’t a show stopper a dress that has never been seen before?

The only thing I can think of why Ridge is with Taylor is because the raggedy cooter out trumps the golden cooter.

Eric to Stuffy and Taylor, in your face, Brooke saved the show 😇.  Stuffy can’t give 💩💩 about business. It all about the personal.  Does Stuffy and Taylor suck on lemons before each of their episodes. It’s a great day for FC but because Brooke was in the show, Stuffy and Taylor could celebrate the win. Stuffy, with the interview couldn’t spend a few seconds because she had to fake happiness.

Will is such a horn dog that her can’t give 💩💩 about where they do it for the firs time. Floor or table, it doesn’t matter. Heaven forbid it’s in some romantic setting.

I loved every minute of Beige and her spawn getting their faces cracked over and over today. And I laughed at Steffy being so confused to find out Eric was behind it.  What, did she think Brooke made that dress herself?  Stole it and managed to fit it to herself instead of the model without anyone knowing?

I want to see Eric sit her down and have a talk with her about her repeatedly allowing her personal animosity towards the Logans to override what's best for the company. She made it clear today that it wasn't just her bullshit with Hope. She stood there and argued with Eric over something that was already done, that he deemed to be best for business, something that was a wild success, because she was pissed off that it involved Brooke. Eric asking Steffy to step away from the co-CEO position for a while would be a good prelude to getting her offscreen for JMW's maternity leave.

I rolled my eyes at Electra fangirling over Spencer and Heidi.  She's about a decade too young to even know who they are, let alone be all in awe of being in their presence.

This showstopper wasn't an exact replica of the Portofino dress, but a modern update of it (according to either Eric or Brooke...I can't remember who described it like that.)

Ridge told Carter that Carter made the company stronger before he grew a conscience and gave it back to the Forresters.  So is Ridge admitting that they had made a mistake by dismissing Carter's ideas in the first place?  And if Carter made the company stronger during the takeover, why is Ridge still so hostile towards Hope for supporting Carter's ideas that ended up making the company stronger?

Glad to see Eric admitting this was his idea, and not "pulling a Carter". The looks on the 2 wicked witches faces were hilarious! Eric really needs to demote Steffy, because she's incapable of running the business without letting her own personal biases dictate every decision. Taylor knows she better watch herself, or she'll be homeless. Ridge now gets the pleasure of constantly reassuring his rebound of his "love". But this is what happens when you jump into someone's bed because you're having a temper tantrum over the person you really want.

Indeed not. It isn't like we haven't seen the two of them use their daughters in a proxy war over the years, so why not have had them compete for Jack's affection similar to how akay and Jill had their fight over Philip III's custody in the 80s?

As for having two Jacks on the show, Jack Marone could easily go by a nickname. As he likely ended up in the same sea going career as his father, he'd almost certainly have one like any sailor worth their salt. :p

"I'm not an insecure person."  Yeah, that whole trying to go through with the wedding before telling Ridge that Brooke didn't make the CPS call just screamed of a secure person. Beige has zero self awareness. She might actually be an interesting character if she was remotely the person she imagines herself to be.

OK, Katie, I'm all in on you busting Pepe LePew, but could you do me a favor and not bust her until Carter is all in with her?  That would be the most fun for me, personally.  Fingers crossed that you find out that his "brother" Ridge knew all about this before you bust it wide open, too. Because I think we all know that, if Carter starts a relationship with Pepe, Ridge is going to be all supportive and talk about how much better she is for him than Hope.  So, Carter finding out that Ridge knew all along that Pepe was there to seduce him into turning the company over would just be the best.

Eric talked to Ridge like he was 7 rather than nearly 70, and he wasn't wrong in anything he said. Ridge is nearly 70, still bouncing between these 2 women like a basketball for 40ish years, and is squatting in his dad's house with his rebound woman. Hope looks like she has decided to begrudgingly support her mother's self destructive desire for the Ridgeanderthal, since clearly nothing will sway her from going off of that cliff again and again. I don't know why Katie feels like Millennial Ridge aka Carter needs to be protected, but making FeeFee miserable is fine by me.

That reminds me. After Eric cracked some faces after the fashion show, Beige told Ridge "See you at home."

What home?

Not the one you two picked out and moved into together.

No, your aged hobosexual's daddy's home because said hobosexual has never had a home of his own.

OMG, it’s Groundhog Day & Brooke throws herself at Hobo’s feet yet again, so he can reject her.  And he always pauses before he rejects her.  To humiliate her even more?  How many more times is Show gonna trot out this same boring crap we’ve already seen 800 billion times?

Wow, Carter seems shocked that anyone assumes he & The Smelly Vampire are involved.  Why are ya shocked, Wimp?  She’s throwing herself at ya every 2 seconds (while NEVER doing a stitch of work) & ya never ever push her away or tell her to back the fuck off, so why ya shocked, Wimp?

Ridge you ungrateful son of a bitch, Eric has already played god with your life. If he didn’t adopt you or teach you how to design, you would be another homeless person on the streets of LA.

For the first time I’m proud of Katie being a buttinsky.  Of the 3 Logan sisters, she’s not the one you mess with.  In other words she’s the enforcer.

Like she just had a conflict in her schedule and couldn't make it?  No, dear, your "destiny" and his bitchass daughter would have probably called the cops if Hope showed up for the show. Do you think the writers realize that the urgency of the "Liam's dying!!!" storyline gets severely watered down when we just don't see it for a week?

Hope seemed totally defeated to me. I think she realized that if she wants her mother's love then she has to drink the Kool-Aid.

And she hasn't even heard the good news/bad news about her daughter's father. Good news - he's dying. Bad news -

Spoiler

I read it here, but not sure if it was in the spoiler thread, or spoilered in this thread; but to protect anyone who is unspoiled - the actor just signed a new three year contract. So there goes the drama. And our hopes of being rid of him. Hard to get invested in this story line when you know the outcome.

Or when we see Shtuffy at the fashion show being more concerned about what Brooke is wearing, or if mommy and daddy are going to boink tonight, than perhaps being a wee bit distracted by her daughter's "father" dying. (I still think $Bill is the bio-dad. And I hope it comes out soon. If for no other reason than to push Finn over the edge. How much more can he take?) Shtuffy, like Sheila and Luna, sure is good at compartmentalizing. And if Shtuffy, the self-appointed bearer of dire news, doesn't care, why should we?

Millennial Ridge wants to have his cake and eat it too. You knifed Hope in the back, Millennial Ridge, when you went groveling back to Boomer Ridge. Leave Hope alone. So how long are you going to continue to keep Hope and everyone other than Steffy in the dark, Liam? Are you waiting until they see your funeral date online? Steffy actually said Hope deserves to know Liam is dying? Bell must realize he made Steffy too evil again, and decided he needed to pull it back some. The hobo's whole "but you were apologetic, and Hope hasn't apologized" might hold a teeny tiny grain of truth to it if not for one little detail - well before Carter apologized and gave the company back, the Hobo and his gaggle of assholes were already saying that Carter was led astray by Hope, and that she was the worse of the two. And then there was his response to Carter saying the takeover was his idea: "Yes, but she cheered you on!"  Like that's somehow worse than taking the fucking company over?

Also, I wish that, when he whined about how Hope hasn't apologized yet, Carter would have responded with "have you apologized to Hope for calling her a bitch and a slut yet?"

Why is this show acting like Hope and Carter were some grand love story for the ages?  They were two pretty people who were basically just like "well, we're two of the only single people in L.A., so..."

Once every two to three years, Steffy does the right thing. So, today she told Liam he needs to tell Hope about his condition.  And she didn't act like a psycho bitch when Hope showed up and dared to speak to and smile at Steffy's Husband.

Hope would have been well within her rights to tell Liam that, while she has no say in where he stays, she absolutely does not want her daughter around a woman who spends 75% of her days bitching about how awful Hope is.
